Pedro was very welcoming, and friendly when my friend and I first arrived. But I felt extremely rushed throughout the whole entire process. He had a client after us and he wanted to be done with us before they came in or even have an extra time in between. We made an appointment two weeks before. I wanted a cut and possibly color too, it was my fault for squeezing in color when I shouldn't have on such limited timing. But for making an appointment ahead of time, this shouldn't have been the case and we shouldn't have been rushed at all. He said he's fine with it so I showed him at least 10 pictures of what I wanted, the cut as well as the color. For me, I usually don't go into salons to get my hair done, cut and color, because I am extremely attached to my hair and I'm afraid that the hairdresser would mess up and I would hate it in the end. My friend recommended this place so I thought maybe it's a good place since he had some reviews that raved about his styling. I trusted him with my hair, I trusted that he'd cut my hair that would frame my face or at least go with what I wanted and listened to me. He asked for the desired length or showed me on my back, I was talking to my friend about what I wanted and then seconds later I hear scissors against my hair!! He immediately chopped off my hair in a straight line without giving me another second to think and my hair was gone just like that. My jaw dropped. He said "it's okay, I had to cut it before you can change your mind." Ok.. I guess... I didn't want to be rude but he also said "its okay, it was dead anyways." ._. I did not want it as short as he cut it. He then immediately began dying it, I told him I wanted balayage and a color that's lighter than mine is right now but he recommended peekaboos, mind peekaboos take very little time and they hide under layers that you have so you can seriously just bullshit the strands and really no one will see it. I've been dying my hair for years now and I would know. My wait time was extremely quick. The highlights or peekaboos look like they start from no where literately a straight line, no fading and didn't have a gradual fade to them. After he washed my hair he snipped off little pieces of hair, for who knows why or what he was doing, but it literately did not change that fact that my hair was cut in a straight line, no long layers no dimension nothing, and I didn't want it too short but he already chopped off my hair super short to begin with... I seriously could have done what he did to my hair all my myself at home. A good barber would let you see your hair at its natural state. Not curled, or straightened with a straightener. Blow dried, clean. But no. He curled my hair, made it tossled and cute I have to admit but he didn't let me see it straight and natural. I told him I didn't need it curled, since my hairs naturally straight and I don't have tome to straighten it in the mornings before I head to work. He told me that I have to have my hair curled because I have to walk out of his store beautiful and tell everyone where I got my hair done so I could recommend to friends. No, that's just so wrong. I don't ever want any of my friends or family members to come here and be treated the way I was treated. There was no love and attention that I needed and wanted for my hair. I was scared of going to salons to get a haircut and color, now I'm fxcking terrified. The more I think about it the more upset I get. I absolutely HATE my haircut. I paid $145 plus tip for a really rushed bad cut and ugly highlights that I made an appointment for 2 weeks prior. Like seriously, why. It's just unbelievable what I went through, I was excited for this haircut for weeks and this is what I get. Being rushed, I guess we weren't that important to him for him to take his time and listen to what I wanted for my hair. People, if you are NOT satisfied with your hair, do not pay, tell the barber, let them know your concerns right on the spot. It's your hair, you're paying good money for it, get what you want. Lots of hair stylist will do anything like bullshit work to get money out of you. Tell them what you want exactly, give them pictures. If they can't do it for you, I don't know what to tell you but to leave. read more

Pedro is a sweet heart. He makes you feel very comfortable in his salon. Most importantly, he does a great job with my hair. I have thick wavy hair which isn't always easy to manage but I always come out loving my hair. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he delivered. I really recommend this salon but will give you guys a tip. Call him ahead of time as he's usually booked about 2 weeks in advance. 3 weeks if you want a Saturday. Makes sense though! Can't say enough about this salon. I I have been going to Pedro for over 5 years and he is the only person I trust with my hair! I have naturally curly, thick hair and I always had a hard time finding a stylist capable of styling Latin hair until I met Pedro.. He does amazing work, from color to highlights, haircuts to styling or other treatments. I love to try new styles and cuts and he is patient and creative. Always leaves my hair amazing. Friends always compliment my hair after he has styled it. Recently I did the Brazilian blowout and I'm very happy with the results. I wear my hair straight most of the time and it's convenient and easy to maintain on my own. Pedro is amazing!!!! I have known him for years now and trust me, he is super good at what he does! Back home in El Salvador EVERYBODY knew who Pedro was, he was THE GUY at Tony&Guy for color... And this was over 15 years ago!!! His skills have gotten better with time!!! OMG... I've found my hair stylist for life! My friends have been telling me about him forever but had never gone until today. I immediately loved the place, very clean, neat and it even smelled very nice, not like most hair salons, which smell like chemcials. Pedrito himself is super, duper nice and friendly!
