Lots of great beer and drinks options. The food is a mixture of Latin highlights from central and South America. Tried a little bit of everything and it was all good. Particularly liked the street tacos (beef fajita) and Honduran Pastelitos which were essentially Empanadas. Very tasty. The Lito's de Abu is a Salvadoran bean dip with sour cream and chips. Very tasty. Portions are appetizer size so mix and match. Sample the different offerings. There's a kids play scape outside so you can watch the game, drink a beer and sample the food. I really hope this place makes it because they have a solid happy and some good food options. The biggest problem they are going to have is location since you can only get here going west on 2222. We came in for happy hour which is $3 off all cocktails plus a free taco with every drink. That alone should make it worth a visit. We also ordered the papusas, ceviche, and quesadilla. I would probably not order the ceviche or quesadilla again, but the papusas were incredible. The service was great and they have plenty of heaters inside to keep everyone warm. This is a great place to sit on their patio and enjoy a refreshing drink. They have many options for drinks. The beef fajitas are very tasty and come in variety of options including nachos, street tacos, and basic fajita plate. The pupusas are delicious. I haven't been disappointed with any of their food options. You seat yourself and scan the QR code to order. The staff are very friendly and are always checking up on us to ensure everything is ok. Meh. Sadly I have to say this establishment is a disappointment. The food is actually quite good with decent prices and larger than normal servings. The staff... goodness, need help. Since this restaurant is in Steiner Ranch, lots of the staff are young. The attention to each table is abysmal and you simply feel forgotten! I get it- good help is hard to find and very expensive. Honestly, I would pay more money per dish for better service. If you can hire some folks with experience I think it would improve things a lot. In addition, the digital screen on the facade of the building is annoying and unnecessary. It is so bright it kills the hill country vibe that most places keep. Our server Lourdes welcomed us in and brought us chips & salsa. We ordered pupusas (one cheese, the other was pork) and beef tacos. When the order came out about 20 minutes later, we were so pleasantly surprised that it was SUPER TASTY! I traded a forkful of my delish rice for a bite of my husband's pupusa, and both of us wished we had more of each! I wish I could make my rice at home like this rice--really well seasoned. We've been here twice,both times for a Friday HH. The service was slow. Last time it Took 45 mins for our waitress to come over and check on us. I even had to go inside and ask a waitress to get ours. We ordered the oysters on our first visit and it was unpalatable. Truly. We both tired one and couldn't do it. Oysters that are 3-4 inches in diameter aren't my thing. These guys were jumbo. I ordered a margarita and it tasted like it was missing the booze. The tacos are ok. I am a huge fan of Komal Latin kitchen & bar! I love visiting for brunch, lunch, dinner or just for a quick drink like a Brazilian Caipirinha or Roli's margarita. It's a great place to visit on a date, with friends, family with kids or solo. My favorite dish "The Steaks" Brazilian or Argentinian style. You can not go wrong with a perfectly grilled steak (Ribeye - Medium Rare) my fav. And of course their side- dish selections (Fried banana, fried yuca, or a freshly made salad. We had the sampler appetizer, great selection, super tasty! Knocked off one star because we ordered another glass of wine and we never got it (reminded the waitress once as well), plus a steak was ordered medium-rare came out medium, it was very good, but it should've been slightly less cooked, but not to the point where I felt it should be sent back. Also I ordered the surf-turf which included two jumbo shrimps for $6 more (I think it was), they weren't that jumbo, I won't add that again. Since the place hasn't been open very long I'm rather forgiving on mistakes like this. The food is incredibly bland. The salsa was like red colored water and the 'bowl' we had tasted like... nothing... no spices or seasoning at all. Ordered via Uber Eats. Not all items on menu were available. Modified order was submitted. Order arrived with a missing entree. Manager claimed not to have received that part of the order but Uber says they did. At least initially the manager wanted me to talk to Uber to get them to talk to him...I just wanted to eat. To their credit they finally offered to make the entree and deliver is themselves but by that time I had tried their soup (crap) and the other diners complained about the quality of their entrees...bland. I decided to pass and ordered new food from elsewhere. I had to speak with three different people at the restaurant to try and resolve this, in addition to the Uber driver and Uber customer support.
