Looks like this place goes by KOMI tofu but when I search for KOMI, Seoul Tofu comes up so I'm assuming these two businesses are the same. In the past, this used to be Jang An tofu, which was one of our favorite tofu soup places in the PNW area and we actually had gone out of our way to come here for their delicious tofu soup. This place has obviously gone through a change in management. I ordered my usual tofu soup with a "spicy" rating. Noticed a few changes. They no longer serve the little yellow croaker fish. They now serve mackerel. Historically, tofu soup goes hand in hand with yellow croaker as they balance and enrich each other's taste. Mackerel seems random and is not truly supported by the traditional taste palate when it come to the presentation of tofu soup. Anyhoo, mackerel itself tasted OK but it certainly did not go well with tofu soup. And the tofu soup. Tofu soup is one of my absolute favorite. I had one sip and I immediately tasted the exploding spiciness from what seems to be capsaicin. The spiciness was more chemical in nature rather than from a combination of tasty flavors. I could not even have the courage to go for the second spoon. I actually stopped eating and I did not even want to take it home but my wife did not want it go to waste so we decided to take it home and modify the taste a bit. Also the rice. Traditionally, it should be presented in the hot stone pot so that the bottom layer is slightly burnt so that when you pour hot water, it becomes a flavory bowl of nureungji. That's an essential part of the tofu soup experience. However, here, they are using a stainless steel bowl on top of the stone pot, which makes this experience dull. From getting rid of the yellow croaker and the original stone pot, they have changed the whole tofu soup experience. And the tofu soup is not great either. Service was friendly, however. Ambiance was the same as before. I would love them to do better. But at this time, I won't be returning anytime soon. Sorry.

I came back to Seoul Tofu after a long time and had lunch by myself. It's located inside the Great Wall Shopping Mall. I ordered the fish roe tofu soup, which came piping hot and full of flavor. The stone pot rice was nicely cooked, and the banchan (side dishes) were fresh and tasty -- especially the kimchi and cucumber. There weren't many servers working, so I had to wait a bit to be seated and served, but the staff were kind and courteous, which made up for the delay. Overall, a cozy spot for Korean comfort food. I'll definitely be back!

This place is under new ownership so I came by to give it a try. Even though the menu is pretty similar the soup and sides don't seem as good as before. The rice is exactly as I remember it. I ordered a medium spicy on the soup and it was very mild. The soup was not even red. I would recommend spicy if you normally can handle a medium elsewhere. The staff seemed nice but I go to Korean restaurants for the sides and this one doesn't meet the bar. I would love to see the deep fried bony fish replaced with fish cakes. I also noticed from previous photos that the sides never change so switching things up from time to time would be nice.

We tried again a week or so later as my work is close by and we wanted something quick and affordable as we had a comedy show to go to afterwards. As we entered, we were the only ones and we were greeted warmly by the sushi chef and our waitress. Our waitress told us to pick any table we'd like and she brought us menus. Once we had ample time to glance over the menu which honestly had the right amount of items, I got the udon and shrimp tempura while my boyfriend got their Philadelphia roll and chicken katsu. Our waitress asked if we were fine with water and I didn't see a drink section on the menu but they do offer fountain drinks, canned drinks and hot tea. The inside is small but it's cozy and initmate. They have K-pop playing in the background with the music video. There is a good mix of natural lighting from the sun and inside. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. We received our roll and shrimp tempura first, udon next and finally the chicken katsu. The katsu sauce here is one of the best katsu sauce we've ever had as it had a perfect balance of tangy, sweet and savory flavors. There was a lot of katsu and my boyfriend said the only complaint was he wished there was a bit more rice as the ratio was off. I loved my udon, they give a generous portion of fish cakes, fish balls and a piece of shrimp tempura as well as plenty of tempura flakes. I do wish there was a bit more noodles but that was my only real complaint. The shrimp tempura was good but I do wish there was a bit more sauce. My boyfriend's roll was delicious and fresh! Their hot green tea was also comforting and delightful! The service here is pleasant as our waitress was kind and checked in on us often. She was also courteous and professional with other customers. We look forward to coming back whenever we're hungry for good and affordable sushi and Korean food.

The cashier/server is very sweet! She made sure we were satisfied with our sushi and kept coming back to check in on us. The place is cute inside, it was actually very roomy, has a lot of natural light and they had some K-pop videos playing in the background. The restaurant is tucked away near the closed down Old Country Buffett in Kent East Hill. I really should've tried coming here instead of traveling to Renton for some sushi! But I will definitely return for more of their delicious sushi!!! I would definitely give them a try if you're in the area.

I ordered the traditional mix beef bon broth soup with clear noodles and my bf got tofu soup with a side of dumplings. Tofu soup is ordinary! But the sullungtang is really rich and comfort. It was super cold outside so this soup was a perfect balance to it! The dumplings are well seasoned and the kimchi tho, do I need to say anything else? Tastes homemade and authentic! I will come back soon! Oh yeah don't forget to buy a jar of kimchi to bring home! Only $8.99 sooo good

We had ordered a seafood pancake, saw ours be given to another table that ordered later than us. We reminded the waitress once more and saw that one be given to another table as well. We reminded them one last time just to be told "it's coming." At that point, we have been dining in for 45 minutes, finished our soups and just ended up wanting to cancel that order (even though we were looking forward to it). We went up to the cash register and told the waitress to cancel the pajeon but she didn't believe us that it never came and that she had to check our table for herself. Not once were we ever checked up on, just overlooked and ignored... I want to say I like Yi's but I am apprehensive about coming back.

Speaking of pork belly they were too chewy we cooked it for long enough and it was still very chewy. Service was trash. The lady that was our server poured all the meat on our fryer so half of the meat was stacked on top of each other so it took longer to cooked. We're already on a 90 minute time crunch. If my step dad wasn't pestering the lady for a next round they wouldn't have checked on us and we would've been waiting for 30 minutes. While we were waiting for the second round the lady told us to turn off our heater when we're not using it, the man later came and turned it back on and told us to keep it at level 400-500. The next time we got the food she tried to put all the meat on the fryer again my step dad said "It's okay we got it, thank you" she looked at us like we didn't know what we were doing. Later on she looked at how we put everything on the fryer she looked and laughed at us TWICE.

The food itself was enjoyable and we appreciated having a place where we could gather and cook together for a special occasion. The meats were flavorful and we still made the best of our time there. Unfortunately, the service experience was disappointing. Throughout our meal, staff did not check in on our table to see how things were going. Our grill and grill parchment paper were not changed, and our banchan dishes were not refilled. No one explained whether banchan refills were available since we did not choose the AYCE option. We also noticed that sesame oil, which is typically offered at most Korean restaurants, was not provided and seemed to be kept behind the counter instead of being offered to our table. One thing that stood out to us was that we were the only Asian customers dining at the time. We observed staff spending a significant amount of time checking in on other tables multiple times, while our table did not receive the same level of attention. The difference in attentiveness felt noticeable, and honestly, it felt intentional. At the end of our visit, no one thanked us or said goodbye, which made the experience feel impersonal, especially since we were there celebrating a birthday. We came in excited to celebrate together as a family. While the food was good, the lack of attentiveness and communication impacted our overall experience. We hope the service can improve so that all guests feel equally welcomed and cared for..

Not to mentioned, our server was amazing and patient with us since it was my first time. Although, she kinda knew us from the church she still treated us with respect like any other customer without any favoritism or whatesoever. She told me full details of the menu to which is usually ordered or popular at the moment, since I couldn't decide myself. I loved everything she recommended and can't wait to go back again. I specially loved the kalbi and pork tofu combo . We did get the stone bibimpap as well which was amazing !! And the seafood pancake . And Seafood Pancake 해물파전 The others ordered the half and half chicken and hot Hot-Stone Bi-Bim-Bap 나물돌솥비빔밥 . The side dishes was the best too and I love the kimchi specially. Both times I've been here, it's always been very busy, but I've never had to wait for a table because they have a ton of seating. Even though it's pretty packed here, it's easy to have a conversation. The staff here are also pretty friendly and the food comes out quickly (though I wish the banchan would come out sooner). The food here is probably some of the best Korean food I've had in the greater Seattle area. I can think of maybe one other place that I would put on the same level as here. While I would argue that this is on the pricier end, I think the food quality really makes up for it. The kimchi made in-house is fantastic, and I've actually purchased some outside of the meal to take home to snack on later. I like the kimchi pancake and my go-to bibimbap is fresh and filling. Overall, Seoul Tofu House is a great spot, I wish they had another location somewhere up north. But for now, whenever I'm in the area this is my spot.
