The girl said it's more because they replace any broken buttons (athough a shirt I picked up had a broken button after they pressed it). I have been here about 5 times. The last 3 times there was an issue of some sort that reflected poor quality of service. Each time, I've tried to give them the benefit of the doubt due to human error. After this last time, I'm done with them. Due to the frequency of poor service, they are the worst dry cleaner I've ever been to. Problem #1. If you send in a suit to be cleaned, they separate the pieces and send them off to different locations to be serviced (and they dont tell you this). When you go to pick up because you have been told your order is ready, just to drive home and find pants missing. After this happened twice, I was told that they do this without telling the customer and that I should just wait until 5pm of the day promised to receive the whole order ("that would have been helpful to know the other 2 times I went there, thanks). #2. I received a pair of dry cleaned pants where the back pocket (inside was torn, which wasn't torn when turning them in for cleaning). #3. several times that I have brought my suits in, the jackets and shirts are pressed all funky and look more wrinkled than they were when brought in and sloppily hung on the hangars. Now I have to press-off a suit at home, when I had brought them in for that very reason. I feel the workers are sloppy and the management doesnt seem to maintain continuity of level of service here. As a business owner, I waited 3 times out of curtesy to see if human error was corrected. This seems to be a recurring sloppy operation. Below are a few pictures straight out of the wrapping. My son had his ROTC uniform dry cleaned here. We were not aware it was a preferred place for local service members and first responders for uniform dry cleaning. Because it was a military ROTC uniform, they waived the dry cleaning fee. Being a Veteran, I really appreciate it; Not so much the no charge but for the military support. They have earned my business and I'll be sure they know they have earned their cleaning fees and will respectfully decline any free services. Please use this company! read more

I've been using Kona Cleaners service for at least 12 years now since we moved to Corona. It had a different name before and i think Kona Cleaners just bought the store recently. I remember it was only 99 cents for a piece of clothing before, now I think it's $5 to $6. Price is a little high but we like the service there, the employees there are very nice and friendly. Today I just had an unbelievable and quite frankly shocking experience. So last week I brought in 10 pieces to the store then I came 2 days later to pick them up and Lakisha brought out 9 pieces and told me we're missing a white Georgio Fiorelly shirt and that's exactly what I am missing. She said to give her 2 days to locate it and I said that's fine. Today I came back to drop off some more clothes and hopefully pick up my missing white shirt and was told the manager checked the camera and saw I picked the 1 shirt already Are you kidding me? One thing I have to give this place credit is they are very on time, maximum 2 days they will have all your items and for the manager to say I picked up the 1 piece first already and the other 9 pieces later was shocking to me, unbelievable. It's ok to make mistakes but it's unacceptable to blame on the customers. I told them there were a couple of times before you guys gave me someone else's pants and shirt and I brought them back to the store so please don't tell me you don't make mistakes. Anyway there are hundreds of dry cleaning services around, I will take my business (at least $100 to $150 a week) somewhere else, so sad and unbelievable. ZERO RATING: Management at the Foothill Pkwy location in Corona is terrible & incompetent. She provided poor customer service & does not take accountability for lost items. She did NOTHING to resolve the issue & acted as if I was bothering her. Never mind that the lost item issue last for 1 month without a call from her until last week. For this reason, you just lost my business of $3000 a year and all you had to do is refund me for the lost item which would only cost your company $120. I'm really impressed with Kona cleaners. Kona recently took over from another establishment and really stepped up the service. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. Often times your order is ready the next day by 3:00 pm. They even offer pick up and delivery. They are able to email all of the paperwork and send an email or text reminder when your cloths are ready. They offer friendly, fast and affordable service and highly recommend. read more

A few years ago, I noticed that one of my absolute favorite dress shirts had a trail of spots going down the right side. It looked as if something had dripped on it, but I couldn't tell what it was. I first tried to wash it normally, but there was no change in the spots. I tried pre-soaking with detergent overnight with some hand-scrubbing, then back in the machine, but still no improvement. The shirt remained unwearable, hanging in the corner of the closet. Since it was no longer 'in the rotation', I kept forgetting to take it to the cleaners with my regular pile. Finally, I made a point to grab it and take it in on my next trip to Kona Cleaners. They told me that the fact that the spots had been sitting for about 3 years, and that I had already washed the shirt myself may severely mitigate their ability to clean it. Especially considering I didn't even know the source of the spots, they couldn't guarantee it could be cleaned even if I had brought it in right away. I left my shirt with them and crossed my fingers, hoping there would be at least some improvement when I picked it up in 2 days. Since Kona Cleaners sends digital notifications, I receive both texts and e-mails when my cleaning is ready for pick-up. In this case, I got them the following day...a day before they said my shirt would be ready. I figured that they had either given up, or were magically successful in resurrecting my shirt from the dead. I was hoping for the latter. I stopped by, and they retrieved the shirt from the conveyor. She peeled back the plastic cover to reveal a shirt that looked as good as new. Not only was I ecstatic, but was also kicking myself for not getting it done sooner. Kona Cleaners really saved the day...and all for just $1.99. read more

Called Tuesday evening to inquire about sewing/alteration service and was told that I would need to bring the item in the next day so the manager could see the item, which was a baseball hat that need a new velcro strip sewn on. Went in the next day and spoke to someone at the counter (who didn't appear to be a manager) who promptly turned me away saying that their seamstress wouldn't not be able to do it because the "material was too thick" although this seemed to be a simple process. No different than sewing a new zipper on a pair of pants IMO. I asked if the seamstress was there to look at the item herself and she answered no. Associate was very unhelpful and just appeared to not want my business. Will never attempt to use or recommend this business again. read more

Had to come leave a review for the employee Hannah who needs to work on customer service skills! I walked into the cleaners and she saw me walk in and didn't greet me at all just looked up and continued her phone conversation. 5 min passed and she shrill didn't say anything with me standing there. I said "excuse me " she looked up and still didn't say anything and kept talking on the phone. She was on the phone for several more minutes then finally walked up to the counter and when i asked for the service she said they couldn't do it in a day . so as i left i asked for her name. she responded and said i was talking to my manager on the phone so that's why she didn't help me ". i work in customer service as well and it takes 1 second to greet a customer and say i'll be with you shortly or give me one minutes . she had a bad attitude i left and went to ace cleaners and got the service i like nice workers and no bad attitude! won't be back to this cleaners read more

I had 3 pants that needed to be altered. I went to pick up my pants on the date as indicated on the receipt. The pants were no where to be found. I called back the next day and the employee and manager's responded by saying "We are really backed up with 1 seamstress on vacation and the other only works part-time." Now, I just want my pants back, altered or not. The manager stated, just call back tomorrow to see if your pants arrive. How long will I have to wait for my belongings? Service was not rendered. All I ask for Kona Cleaners to do is apply what's called, "Business Ethics." My family and I have been coming to this cleaners for years! And yesterday they called to tell me they have ruined yet another one of my cloths. When they called to tell me they asked me the worth of the dress they put a hole in because they said they couldn't find it. I told them how much I pairs for the item and presided to check the internet to see if I could find it to replace it knowing the item is no long available with the company. Today they called and said they would refund me because they say the item is lower. I spent the whole first half of my day looking for that dress and it does not exist. So not only did they lie about finding it they won't give me compensation for THEM damaging my dress! The will only give me a credit! If they think I'm going to keep my business with them they are crazy! I find it so disrespectful and poor business practice that they are defusing to compensate me for there mistake! Employees are very friendly and I even received a hand-written thank you note for being a new customer. I took my grandmothers 63 year old wedding dress here and was able to pick it up only two days later! The dress looks amazing, they completely revived it! I was doubtful anything could be done about how yellow this dress had become over the years, but figured I would have it cleaned anyway.
