It was a little awkward though because they kept pressuring me to order more. I'm a pretty small person and it was awkward, because the staff kept making comments like "no protein"? Or "Do you want to add things to go?" Or when I was deciding whether to get sushi or the penne, they were like "Get both". It didn't feel very classy. To add, when we were about halfway through the meal they asked us if we wanted takeout boxes and that they could get the bill out. I also don't mind paying higher prices for food if the food is worth it. This was not a $72 meal in any way shape or form for me and my friend. The poke bowl I got was also not great. It was mehh, i followed that with the filet and green beans and brussels sprouts. Steak was cooked to my liking but typically, I like a char on the outside. This was not that. The green beans were great done a difficult to mess those up. The brussels sprouts were crispy but too oily for me so I didn't finish them at all. It was Happy Hour, so we started with the Featured Crab Crunch Roll ($6). It was exactly as you'd expect: Crab + Eel in a Sticky (Unsweet) Rice Wrap. 6 pieces, each Yummy, but not Overwhelming. . Our Entrees; However, we're NOTHING LESS THAN PHENOMENAL. . Let's start with my Entree: the Crab & Brie Stuffed Salmon. Although I couldn't place the Crab nor Brie, this salmon was lightly seared - -fiving it an almost poached taste. The skin had been removed, only one side was seared (lightly) and that still left the protein very tender yet flaky - well cooked, but not overdone. The Turmeric-infused rice side was delisious, a small bit al dente, with a hearty Indian flavor. The Broccoli cloves were also al dente, and had a great Sesame, onio taste. My wife stole most of them off my plate. . My wife ordered the Wagyu-Fried Rice as a light small plate of an entree. Still, it was a very decent size - akin to most any small plate you'd find at any such upscale restaurant. My wife never had Wagyu before and she LITERALLY held each bite in her mouth and let it melt before starting on another. I took a single bite and was jealous. Wagyu is Wagyu. If you had it, you know why Metropolitan restaurants often charge by the ounce for a Wagyu Serving. It's simply phenomenal. .\ Our total bill for 1 Crab Roll, two entrees, and two sodas came to $74 before tip. My mother had made a reservation for my graduation dinner on 5/10 and we had made this reservation about 2 weeks in advance knowing every restaurant would be busy on Mother's Day. The restaurant sent me a confirmation text the same day and our reservation was set for 6pm. They sent me another text for the same time asking if I was on the way and we confirmed yes. When we arrived to the restaurant my family said that they had to push it back since they were busy. I told the host we had reservations at 6pm. She proceeded to lie to me and said it was made for 7pm. I showed her the confirmation texts and she said she will try to do everything she can to fix it and let me know. After 40 minutes she never gave me an update so i cancelled my reservation and left. This was extremely frustrating especially because my family member's blood sugar was low so she had to leave and eat at her hotel. Three of us sat at the bar. Two people ordered old fashions. They were some of the worst. I had a trio of margaritas which didn't have any flavor. The potstickers were awful. We ordered a spicy tuna roll which was so spicy that you couldn't taste the tuna. We did complain about this and ordered the chicken lettuce roll ups instead. The roll ups were just as bad just not spicy. It was like someone spit in bowl. The 2 sea bass sliders were very fishy and not worth the money. The 2 hamburger sliders were small as well. We arrived on a Saturday night, with no reservation, at 5:30pm. We were able to grab seats at the bar, which is our preferred location when it's just the two us. After dropping off our drink the staff didn't speak to us again for 30 minutes, when we flagged down our server, asked for bill and canceled our sushi roll. I love that there are flowers everywhere as it makes the vibe warm, welcoming, and romantic. On both recent visits, the service was impeccable. Staff are constantly walking the room and making sure that everyone's needs are being met. On both recent visits, I ordered the angry edamame, regular edamame, the crispy soy brussel sprouts, and the poke bowl. Everything is so GOOD! The angry edamame is one of my favorites - super spicy and packed full of flavor. The crispy soy brussel sprouts are cooked to perfection. The poke bowl has great flavor, but seems small in size (for $24) and could use more toppings. From what I remember, the sushi rolls have always been great as well. I like the addition of the live DJ on weekend nights too! Ohhh, I almost forgot - the carrot cake! Oh my goodness! HUGE portion size and so tasty! I will definitely order it again! My meal was good however I did not eat my sausage as It was too undercooked for my liking. I didn't mention anything to the waitress because I didn't want to wait additional time for more sausage to be prepared. I simply ate the bacon that came with the meal. Our waitress was very polite, friendly and hospitable. We appreciated that a lot. What I did not care for, besides the undercooked sausage, was the overpriced carrot cake that I ordered to go. I didn't see the price in advance because we no longer had our menus. But seeing $15 for a slice of cake was a bit much! Definitely won't be ordering that again. I should've received a whole cake for that price. Nevertheless, I would certainly return and order something else on the menu. Three of us ordered sushi rolls, just one roll each, and one person ordered stir fry. After waiting an hour, our food arrived, but only three dishes were served. One sushi roll was missing. We waited, assuming it would come out shortly, but it took another 15 minutes. We're not sure if it was forgotten or entered late. After such a long wait, we hoped the food would be worth it. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The sushi rice was stale, and the fried rice was drenched in soy sauce, lacking color and vegetables. Because of the delay, we missed a live band we had planned to see afterward. To top it off, the meal was pricey, over $180 for four meals and drinks. We still tipped 20%, but the quality didn't match the cost. We were dining with my husband's parents, whom we rarely see, and the experience put a damper on the evening. We loved sitting on the patio on a nice day in March. The potstickers were very good, I would get them again for sure. My son had the kids bento box and it was outstanding. I got the sea bass sliders as my lunch and they were exactly as described on the menu and I liked them but I never would order them again. We had to ask the front desk for a server and it took an additional 5 minutes before anyone came to us. By this time we knew our entire order and told the sever, "just get the bottle of wine and four glasses quick". We ordered 6 appetizers for four people. Then we waited another 25 minutes with NOTHING but water. All of us were so stunned at the lack of service that we decided the expensive prices were not worth the wait.
