My sister and I both decided to try on one item, and the saleswoman kept bringing us other clothes to try. We figured "why not?" even though the clothes were not our style, and surprisingly, the clothes looked great. They fit in a more flattering way than clothes from chain stores like Forever 21 or H&M, and the saleswoman also brought us accessories to play with our looks. It was like having our own personal stylist. In the end we decided to buy way more than we had originally planned. We went up to the register, and the accessories did not have prices on them. The saleswoman said she'd give us a good price, and she wrote down how much things would cost. I had two dresses from the 50% off rack, and she said only one was actually on sale. The other she gave me a $10 discount. I was confused but I let her ring me up. Afterwards, I walked back to the sales rack and I showed her the same dress was there, and she said it was there by mistake. It all seemed really strange to me, but my sister and I just paid and left. I was still bothered by what happened, so I checked the tags of the two dresses I thought was on sale. The one she said was on the rack by mistake had a red line through it. The one she gave me for a discount had no line through it. It was all so weird that I let it go. My sister decided to check her bag, and she saw on her receipt that the woman had charged her $10 more than what she had quoted to her. We returned to the store and told the saleswoman what happened. She apologized and said she couldn't give us money back from the credit card machine without her manager, but she allowed us to take an accessory to make up for the difference. While in the store, I saw that the dress that I had received for 50% that was previously on the clearance rack was now on a regular priced rack. The whole scenario reminded me of that scene in "Legally Blonde" where the saleswoman thinks Elle is a sucker and clips off the sales tag for a last season item. It's a shame. If the store was clearer with their pricing, then I would go back because the clothes are so stylish, but because of how I felt leaving the store, I will never go back.

Glided in today to this Ventura Blvd meet slightly west of Van Nuys Blvd gem for some spiritual essentials. It was a little busy with a few people in store shopping and exploring. The vibes were good, calm and inviting with Denise on register. I didn't plan to get much but ended up with some patchouli incense, black tourmaline (cleansing aura, dispelling negative energies/thoughts) and apache tea crystals (emotional healing) and a cleansing kit I had recently seen on the HOI online shop. The store had a new brightness to it with a slight shift in displays since my first trip in a few years ago. I stop in once in a blue moon and am definitely glad I strolled in today. The harmony of Fleetwood Mac (via Stevie Nicks) Seven Wonders leading the way. Palo Santo, candles, cards, crystals, kits, stones, charms, tarot, and beyond. This intuitive/spiritual/holistic and more shop is still one I adore. All items are very reasonable in price and of quality. Ample street parking (metered) and local lots being your best access as well as local LA Metro bus transit. I'm roughly a twenty to twenty five minute walk away. So when the weather is nice I definitely find my way here. The service is great and all the staff is extremely knowledgeable. They have a little over half a dozen locations with the Echo Park store being their flagship. The Sherman Oaks store being their only San Fernando Valley shop and one I implore you to explore. Open from 11am to 7pm all seven days of the week, "If I live to see the seven wonders.... I'll make a path to the rainbow's end..."
