It's good sushi. The best part is the speed of delivery. You're NOT waiting 30 minutes for your order. The lighting is nice, booths are soft and high off the ground. The tables are large sized for lots of sushi sharing with family. It's not cheap though. If you're looking for cheap sushi, it's not here. The only thing I didn't care for was the baked sushi was served in foil. It was kinda hard to remove it intact from it. It would have been better if they plated it like other Japanese restaurants. read more

First visit. The entire staff was friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in until we left. We ordered a seaweed salad and a ginger salad. The seaweed was excellent and a large portion. The ginger salad was good, but had a little more salad dressing than ginger. We ordered a Hawaiian Roll and a Spider Roll--both were fantastic and fresh made. The Hawaiian Roll was beyond our expectations with fresh mango, seaweed, rice, Serrano pepper and tuna. The restaurant was clean, well decorated with convenient booth seating. Very nice sushi/Japanese restaurant. Had been to the one in Lexington many times, and decided to try this one since it is closer. It's a nicer venue than the Lexington location, but the service in Lexington was better. However, that does not mean that the service here was bad, just not as excellent as the Lexington location. Let me start by saying this review is of a to go order I didn't order online or over the phone. I ordered at the restaurant when I got there. That being said the service was very friendly, and the restaurant looked very clean. I ordered the Jumbo shrimp and chicken bowl, an order of spring rolls, and because my son is a picky eater the chicken nuggets and french fries. The food was delicious, my two complaints were that my chicken was kinda dry (and believe me when I say I drenched it in yum yum sauce and it was still dry) and my sons nuggets and fries were just thrown in a brown paper bag no container no little plastic bag. Just all mixed together by the time I got the food home the bag was soaked in so much grease the bottom fell out...thank god the food was over the counter and not the floor. Ate lunch here for the first time a few days ago and it was so good we had to come back just 2 days later!! The food is awesome!!!! We loveee their hibachi rice bowls; we've tried their NY strip, jumbo shrimp, and chicken (pictured is NY strip and shrimp) and all are so good. I really love how their shrimp are actually jumbo and they're not rubbery or mushy. Huge portions for the price too! All of our bowls were under $20 each and we ended up with leftovers both visits. Although we didn't get into the sushi options much, their spicy tuna crispy rice is to die for. We were actually shocked to see it on the menu as it's normally an appetizer you'd expect at a more "up scale" sushi restaurant, but we were pleasantly surprised as it was nothing short of delicious. We had the same waiter both visits and he's a very nice and attentive worker. He was patient and took time to read back our order which is a great attention to detail not often found in restaurants. Additionally, the restaurant is very clean and tidy, including the bathrooms. There's plenty of parking & seating inside the restaurant. Overall, Konnichiwa easily made its way onto our go-to list for hibachi/Japanese food. read more

What a poor experience. After noticing this new location and having a couple of good recommendations we decided to grab lunch. Well, first and last time here. House salad with ginger dressing, tofu curry and shrimp curry. The waitress informed us they use dairy cream, not coconut cream but that sounds fine. Our first red flag was the salad showed up with a white creamy dressing. "Is this the ginger dressing". Yes, our ginger dressing is mayonnaise based....ok...I think it was only mayonnaise. Could not taste any ginger....awful. Then the curry's showed up. " we put the spicy sauce on the side so you can add as much as you like". No spice to it at all...in fact flavorless...so we dug into the curry. It tasted like frozen vegetables in warm Half and Half...almost inedible. I strained the veggies out and put them with my rice, added soy sauce and choked them down. I can't stress enough how completely flavorless this food was. Don't waste your time. read more

First time dining here with my family. There was no significant wait time and we were seated within 5 minutes. The look and feel of the restaurant was cozy and we were impressed. We were not pleased with the seating as we all felt that we immediately sank down too much in our seats. The service was a bit slow as we had to wait several minutes before a waitress came to take our order. After we got our food, we were more than pleased. First thing I noticed about this restaurant was the high quality customer service. You walk in and you are treated like family that is happy to see you. The restaurant was clean. We ordered the jumbo shrimp bowl, my fil at all of it. Veggies roll and California roll for my 7 year old. She was very happy. It was her first sushi experience. The spring rolls were crispy , my husband enjoyed the egg rolls. My mother in law got the chicken bowl, which she enjoyed. My husband and I got the tropical roll topped with mango, the rainbow roll ( I really enjoyed that!) And the bang bang shrimp roll, which was our favorite overall. Our waiter Dio was absoultely wonderful, he has a great personality. Every staff member was very kind, and very attentive. The food came out super fast. We never had to ask for refills. The food was great, the atmosphere great..and the staff was amazing. They sang happy birthday to our daughter and brought her a complimentary dessert.
