I waited like 15 minutes just to place and order even though there was only 1 person before me just to find out they didnt have just about everything I wanted (whole wings green beans cabbage and peach cobbler). Fine I settled and waited another 15 minutes for my food. I got home to eat (I live literally down the st. 2minutes away) and my mac & cheese was cold and cheeseless, yams are literally BURNT like I couldnt do anything with them and Corn bread was cold and hard. Smh. I was truely let down. Lemomade and chicken was cool but Definitely not worth the $18 I paid foe the meal. Given that they just opened last week ill given them another shot in w couple of weeks to get the kinks out. 1st step get help! There's no reason there should only be one person doing EVERYTHING in the truck. Especially now with covid, its unsanitary and unfair to the quality of the food. Especially when I saw someone sitting in the driver seat on the phone. Always supporting Black owned but lets do better!

The thought of the two teaming up seems unattainable but it's been done and it's called Dulanville Food Truck! Yep, they serve up delicious eats from both establishments on one food truck! It's a cute truck that I was able to try at Infatuation's Eeeeatsfest. Of course what they offer depends on where you are catching them, but they will always have some form of that signature Prince's hot chicken recipe on the menu and if you're smart, you'll get that. I also highly recommend their Mac & Smokin' Cheese if it's on offer...omggggg. Mac & cheese is one of my guilty pleasures, childhood classic comfort foods, and this version is fabulous. Creamy pasta baked with four cheeses but having that signature soul punch with a dash of Hotville's sweet heat seasoning. Obsessed! I saw they're going to be at Winterfest today so am going to try to swing by for some more yums! You can see where they are on their website or ig! :)

Hotville, founded by the family that invented the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (Howlin' Ray's is…read morean imitator), teamed up with LA soul food giant Dulan's to open a food truck: Dulanville. It's excellent. I hadn't had Hotville since their brick & mortar space closed last year. Other than the food coming out of a truck, nothing seems to have changed. I tried the Dulanville truck for the first time when they were at Three Weaver's Brewery. I had the fish sandwich, fries, collard greens, banana pudding, and peach cobbler. The fish sandwich was spicy, fresh, and delicious, and the portion size was very generous. The sides were tasty, and the desserts worth ordering. I really enjoyed the banana pudding, which had nice slices of fresh banana and was topped with a Pepperidge Farm chessman cookie. The peach cobbler was really good, too. Service was friendly - just like it was at the brick and mortar space. And the wait time was short. I'm glad Hotville is back - even if in food truck form - and look forward to eating with them again.

On menu it's 5 dollars for fish tacos and 7 dollars for cheese quesadillas on happy hour menu. When I got the bill, I was charged 20 dollars for tacos (Should be 5 each) with rice and beans. Quesadillas was 9 instead of 7 dollars. The waitress told happy hour just for drinks and food it's only for taco Tuesday for those prices. I've been eating here for the past year and this is the first time I've ever heard of this because every time I eat here,, those happy hour menu prices are honored.

This place is a gem. Of course, I had to start with a margarita served in one of those huge goblet glasses, and wow--it did not disappoint. Strong, smooth, and full of flavor. My wife, who's pregnant, ordered a virgin cocktail, and honestly, it was just as impressive. It was refreshing, well-balanced, and fairly priced (which is rare for non-alcoholic drinks). For food, we went all in. My wife ordered the fish taco meal, which was generous and packed with flavor. The portions were no joke. Our son got the kids burrito, and it was massive--definitely not your average "kids meal." I went with the quesabirria tacos from the appetizer menu, and they were perfect for my appetite. Rich, flavorful, and satisfying without being too heavy. The ambiance really stood out. It strikes a great balance between authentic Mexican culture and a modern, clean dining experience. It's the kind of place that feels lively and welcoming without being overwhelming--perfect for a casual night out or even a small celebration. Service was top-tier. The staff was attentive without hovering, quick with recommendations, and made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. You can tell they genuinely care about the customer experience, which goes a long way. Parking is a bit limited right in front, but there's plenty of street parking and nearby lots, so it's manageable. Bonus: right next door is Drobe Stogie Cigar Lounge, which is a great spot to check out if you enjoy cigars. It's the perfect way to wind down after a solid meal. Overall, the pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and this is easily becoming one of our go-to spots for nights out. Highly recommend.

I work in pizza and I am on a personal pizza journey. Trying the top rated pizza in LA along with…read moresuggestions from people I meet along the way. The first time I went to Jon and Vinny's I went to the Fairfax location and had an incredible experience. My focus when I went was pasta and this was a little over a year ago. I don't even remember what the pasta tasted like but I remember the service and ambiance from that location. I wish I could say the same about the Slauson location. What I will remember about my visit 2 nights ago will be the food, not the service. Was it bad service? No. But it was weird from start to finish. We had a 9:30 reservation and the closed at 10, on their website they had reservations available until 945. The paged us at 8:30 saying our table was ready. When we got there at 9:30 we still had to wait for them to get our table ready. I didn't think this is the type of restaurant that was gonna make me feel like I have overstayed my welcome, based on them taking reservations up until 945, but almost immediately after finally sitting down they're telling us they're doing last call while cleaning the tables around us. After all of that energy making us feel like we needed to hurry up when we were ready to cash out our server had entirely disappeared and we had to wait until the host came and asked if we needed anything else and I told her no we are still just waiting to cash out. I tried the vanilla bean soda, it tasted flat and like it was made with sugar free syrup. Not a fan. The highlight was the food. Our first pizza was brought to us and felt like it had been sitting before they ran it to us. It was not nearly as hot as I expected it to be, which I considered to be a service issue not a kitchen issue. The 2nd pizza was perfect. We got a Little Nats and a White Lighting. Incredible, awesome topping combinations, the crust was nicely cooked and had a great flavor, high-quality cheese. I 100% will be back, the kitchen team at this location really nailed it and saved my whole experience. When I return to try more pizza on my second round of pizza tasting, I'm definitely stopping back at Jon and Vinny's. However, I'll return to the Fairfax location, or maybe try one of the others. If I come back to Slauson, I'll probably just sit at the bar or get takeout. Shout up to the awesome cooks who made me wanna come back and try every pizza!

All the dishes were good and had great flavor. The portion sizes were large enough and priced accordingly. However, the garlic bread although good was a bit overly cooked and did have a somewhat burnt taste. The staff were great and was very attentive throughout my entire meal. The establishment has an outside dining area which, is well lit and can accommodate a good size group. There's also a large wine cellar stocked with a myriad of wines to accompany any dish. Parking is available but depending on your reservation time street parking may be your only option.
