The theme on the walls of the rear entrance is a NY subway. My ex gf and I were in the Westchester area. We were looking for a pizzeria. So I found this place on yelp. I decided to stopped by, without reading the reviews. So I can judge it by basing it on our own experiences. Not someone's else's. Although itnwas cold at night. It was warm inside pizzeria. We both got two slices of pizza. I forgot what she got. But I got Angeleno Pizza and LaRocco special pizza slices with A&W root beetle soda. She got her two slices with Sprite soda. It was $11 for 2 slices of pizza and a soda. So $22 plus taxes and optional tip. Since I gave them tip. After he heated up pizza he called me and left then at counter. The 4 slices were in 4 individual paper plates. So I had to carry 4 pizza slices back back to table with 2 hands. So I did 2 at a time. I wonder why they didnt put all 4 slices on a single tray or all four plates on a single tray???? 1 star taken away for that. We ate in restaurant and sat by window facing Sepulveda Blvd, while Word Cup 2026 was blaring on one of the TV screens inside. Pizza was good. Angeleno pizza was really good. Ex gf got full off 1 slice of her pizza. So I asked for container. He showed me where the personal pan pizza boxes were. I grabbed one and out her slide in it.

Being from Illinois, my…read moresister recommended Union Station Pizza Company because of their deep dish, and I can honestly say it's some of the best deep dish pizza I've had in California. My issue was with my most recent experience. I'm not a fan of the large tomato chunks in the deep dish sauce, so during a previous visit, an employee told me they could substitute their regular pizza sauce. She warned me that it could make the dough soggier, but I accepted that risk, ordered it that way, and the pizza came out perfect. I returned about two weeks later and ordered it exactly the same way. A newer employee told me he had been instructed never to make a deep dish with that sauce because it could affect the dough. I explained that another employee specifically told me to order it this way and that I had already tried it and loved it. I was willing to pay for it and completely accepted the risk, but he still refused to make it. I don't blame the employee because he made it clear that he was new and was simply following the instructions he had been given. My issue is with the inconsistency and how the situation was handled. I ended up leaving with nothing because they refused to make an order they had made for me just two weeks earlier. The pizza itself is great, but this was a very disappointing customer service experience. I have never been to any establishment in my life and been turned away because they couldn't make a very minor adjustment to a food order that I had already previously ordered there.

When the opportunity to try the pizza arrived, we had a very large group of people to feed. We went to MidiCi's early and let them know our plan. Preston, who was working behind the counter and he was also the person who originally told us about the restaurant when we were at the hotel bar a couple nights earlier. Not only was he able have appetizers that we pre-ordered out to the hotel bar area for everyone's arrival, but everyone's pizza was made special to order and spot on. If you're looking for a great pizza experience in the Hawthorne area, I would greatly recommend MidiCi. Preston and all the rest of the crew there were amazing, and will not disappoint.

Despite having three types of pepperoni, this does not mean the pizza is going to be covered head to toe with pepperoni slices. The tomato sauce was the best indicator that we were eating a fresh pizza. The crust was crunchy and the cheese had a nice pull. A lot of oil pooled on the bottom which was the only downside. However, I would come back again to try the other pizzas. Note: Market Pizza is located in a back patio surrounded by Jackson Place (apartments for rent) and Jackson Market (historic neighborhood cafe and deli). Follow map directions - you'll second guess yourself at first if you park on the main street because Market Pizza and Jackson Market are part of the neighborhood itself and are not surrounded by your typical commercial businesses. It's a soothing environment for brunch with draping vegetation and cute furniture. Beware of flies during daytime. The store itself only had two people working (one person mostly taking orders and one person mostly cooking) so it took a while to make the pizza because the wood fired oven isn't necessarily humongous and there were several people who had ordered before us. No buzzer so if you decide to wander around or if your table is out of earshot, you'll have to check in as they verbally call orders. I had no idea when my order was coming up but they were friendly about me checking in whenever I walked up.
