The wife owner and barista were so incredibly nice. The barista had a phenomenal personality! Very friendly, calling everyone by a sweet pet name. Praise be unto whoever decided that Ocean Shores, WA needed a mini donut coffee shop- because it TOTALLY DID! They have every kind of combination imaginable for as tiny of a shack it is. My personal go-to is the Charlie Brown (chocolate sauce with rainbow sprinkles) with an iced coffee. The staff are always up for a pleasant chat and offering a daily suggestion for something new. The owner says they were inspired by the mini donuts from Pike Place Market in Seattle. However, I was born in Seattle, and raised in PPM donuts, and I can safely say that Kookamaunga's is far superior. I could go there any day. read more

Overall what a amazingly tasty experience!! Very quick about making the donuts (and they were hot and fresh). The taste of the donuts it's self was wonderful texture light and fluffy with great tast, THEN add the toppings, these donuts are out of this world! They have so many toppings to pick from, even a chili lime donut!!! Yes chili lime SOOOOO amazing. The customer service was great. The owners were very welcoming and engaged us in friendly conversation about our visit. The location was very easy to get in and out of with a drive though for convenience, not to mention it was easy to find with the key lime color of their building. I decided to stop for coffee since it was across the street from my hotel, I waited 18 minutes after I ordered 2 Americanos. I would have just left but I had already paid right after I ordered. They kept asking me if I wanted donuts, I'm not a donut fan so I politely declined 3 separate times. Coffee ended up not being very good. read more

Great strong coffee with a really yummy espresso flavor. I ordered a tall Americano with cream just what I was looking for on a dreary stormy ocean day. I went just for coffee but had to try the donuts as well. They were very good, cinnamon and sugar soft pockets of yumminess. We stopped by to get coffee, which was excellent, and the owners were incredibly warm and friendly. Wanted to sample their donuts but they only sold by the dozen. Here a few weeks ago! Super SUPER friendly staff. Doughnuts were great! Cold brew is a tad weak for me but the taste is good, next time I will go with a stronger iced coffee and water down what I need, not a big deal. In Ocean Shores for the night, found this little gem on Yelp and walked a few blocks over. It's a really cute espresso/donut stand owned by a couple from Alaska. Turned out they were closed due to a broken donut machine, but they were inside so I knocked on the window to ask where I could get coffee nearby. She was so sweet and offered to make me an espresso. I am from Seattle and it may have been the best Mocha I have ever had!! Not kidding. I'm sure their donuts are just as amazing. What a lovely couple and so generous to help a girl out in need of her morning coffee! read more

Been trying to try this place, but no luck. Was in town end of May and they hadn't opened yet post Covid shut down. Was in town again this week and they were closed on a day the schediule on the window stated they should be open. Tried again today and they were open! Yay! But the friendly chap at the window told me the donut maker was broken and they were only selling coffee, ug.. 2 stars for the friendly employee. Location, location, location! If you are going to make delicious sweets you might as well be located outside of a pot shop. Stopped by here on a cool October Monday afternoon after rolling into town and my sweet tooth was acting up. A dozen little doughnuts for just over $6-alright, I'll bite. Checked the toppings list and wondered out loud between a few, then ordered the chocolate mallo and lemon coconut. After watching their creation through the big window, out pops our mallo and mounds (chocolate coconut, one of the flavors we were debating). We were just going to take the wrong order of doughnuts (since we like chocolate coconut anyway) but another customer mentioned it to the ladies behind the counter who told us to hold on, and quickly whipped up the half order of lemon coconut. They told us to just enjoy the mounds as it was their mistake. Oh, if only every mistake was so sweet! Good customer service and delicious treats, that's five stars in my book. read more

Such a fun place! The coffee is perfect and there are so many donut flavors you can mix and match and find something for everyone! A must stop when you're at the beach. I just tried the mini doughnuts from kookamunga's. Great!! I came across their facebook page and decided to give their doughnuts a try. Lots of good things to say about them. 1. they are fresh, your doughnuts are cooked while you wait. There was 1 person in front of me, I waited in my car. Less than 5 minutes, the barista brought them out to me. 2. eat them while still hot, great taste, light and fluffy. 3. These are mini doughnuts... you can not eat just one. You purchase them by the dozen, think about getting two dozen. I ate 8 of them on my way home and was barely able to save 4 of them for Alex. This may be TMI - most fast foods are cooked in rancid oil. You can always tell rancid oil - you mouth feels like it is filled with a bunch of tiny fishhooks. That happens because rancid oil is a trans-fat, the molecule is wound counter-clockwise instead of clock-wise. NO FISHHOOK sensation in my mouth from these doughnuts. KUDOOS!!! BTW, most of the heart disease attributed to saturated fat is actually caused by trans-fat. ALL MARGARINE, any thing with partially hydrogenated vegetable oil is by definition a trans-fat and contributes significantly to heart disease. Don't get me wrong, these doughnuts definitely are not health-food, but are almost certainly less disease causing than almost any store bought sweets or pastries. I know that I will be back for more.
