Deep fried in the same oil used for the fish sticks, then had the lifetime microwaved from them.

Horrible!!! Avoid this place! I ordered two items and they were both inedible. Who can screw up potato skins? This hellhole can! No amount of sour cream will revive these over-microwaved disasters. I was told there would be four, but since the three I received are not safe for my dog to eat, it doesn't matter. They are dried out, hollowed out, burnt potatoes which are topped with fake looking cheese that appears to have a half life longer than a Twinkie. The skins were definitely deep fried because you can smell the fish on them - they clearly use the same oil for everything! I immediately threw away the crab cakes in the lobby garbage can, not realizing the potato skins were going to just as bad. The crab cakes were a 1/4" thick, including the heavy breading. Thus, there was just enough crab to make the breading stick but not enough to even notice the crab. They were thickly breaded potato chips. I doubted they were crab, but could visibly see part of a claw shell in the breading so it was actually the smallest amount of crab possible. I will not be coming back my next two nights here. I will not come back ever again and I hope you do not waste your money here like I did.

The food was okay, the service was slow. Got the vibe they didn't really care too much. Razor clams were good, clam chowder was probably Ivars,

2 eggs over easy, sausage links, hashbrowns, biscuit, side of sausage gravy.

Love this place for breakfast! 2 eggs, 3 sausage links, hashbrowns and a biscuit. DELICIOUS! Place was clean, met with a smile, server was OUTSTANDING and very attentive. Food was hot, fresh and very tasty. Prices seem to be creeping up slightly, but still a fair price compared to the portion size. Table and floors were clean, decent music in the background. Overall great experience and very satisfied. Left 4 stars, I believe there's always room for improvement. Where: less cost or more portions. Today's time, costs always go up. My favorite items, sausage links and hashbrowns. Check it out!

    Chicken Parmigiana with fettuccine

Some friends and I stopped in at Home Port restaurant to have our last dinner in Ocean Shores for 2024. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was excellent! The chicken was large, juicy, perfectly cooked and the breading was almost nonexistent. It was served with broccoli and cauliflower and garlic Texas Toast. The meal also included a house salad that had greens, copious sliced black olives, a tomato wedge, beet slices, and a large assortment of dressing to choose from! My only complaint would have been the toast had the consistency of non-toasted bread. Disappointing. However, the meal was excellent and I was very pleased with my selection and Home Port's preparation. The staff was very professional and helpful. One word of warning: as of this review, the cooks were new and their production was very slow. Be prepared to wait for a table, but the wait was definitely worth it.

Came in on Valentine's Day, made a reservation in the bar. Glad we got there at 4:30 for the prime rib. The crab stuffed halibut was excellent, but could've used a squeeze of lemon or capers in their mushroom sauce The chowder was very good Our waitress was very attentive. Our order was correct and served hot. Cute little nautical themed restaurant It was our first time in here. I don't know how we had always missed it before. But we'll be back again

Our place to go for breakfast. My wife and I shared breakfast here and the service and food were awesome. Must go to place visiting at ocean shores. The ambiance is very nice too!

Raw chicken from home port... we used to come here every year after clamming. My son's left over chicken strips are raw.... NEVER AGAIN

Ordered dinner at home port and my son got the chicken strips and fries. My son didn't finish his one chicken strip which is unlike him but we took the rest home. After microwaving and taking a bite, I thought it tasted funny. I looked down and the chicken is raw.... I can't imagine what it looked like before the microwave... We've gone to home port every year when we are out clamming. NEVER AGAIN

I was super nervous going here after seeing the Yelp reveiws and it was somewhat close to closing time to boot. At first, the server didn't seem too excited to see us, but she was really friendly as our visit progressed. The food made up for it though. The seafood platter was just what I needed. So much food that I had tons of leftovers. All the seafood in the platter tasted fresh and cooked correctly. The potato was baked perfectly and the herb buttery stuff it came with was such a nice addition. I tasted the chowder and mushrooms too and both were good.

We eat in the bar- and Leah takes fabulous care of us (heads up it is her 60th on April 12th- 2024/- stop in to celebrate her if you have had great service from her!) My dad always eats the razor clams. They are excellent- almost as good as my grandma used to make them. The smashed burger is also a family favorite.

The bacon/blue cheese burger was just so-so. It was also a little off putting that the chef/owner was on his cell phone in the dining room when there were no orders. This is very good news!! * Location: Perfect location on the north end of the tourist retail area on Point Brown, across the street from the ice cream shop & go karts. * Interior/decor - Neat, clean, bright. Wrap around bar seating, counters at the window, a few tables, two dart boards, jukebox and ATM. * Service - We were greeted when we walked in, found three seats at the bar (all tables were full). The person behind the bar gave us menus, asked for our drink orders and reminded it was cash only. * Food - limited menu (see photos). We had burgers w/chips (thick cut curly fries). Really good, fairly priced. I had the Harbor Bar + cheese & bacon, other two peeps had the mushroom burger. 5/5 napkins all around. * Drink - 4 beers on tap. Large selection of canned beers under ice. * Price - Fair & reasonable. $14 for bacon cheese burger + fries, $6'ish for a pint of beer. Cash only. There's an ATM on premise. Ocean Shores needed a place like this. Good food, fair prices (lower than average I think). Zero disrespect to the other burger & beer places in town. More options = more business = more visitors = WIN! The owners are transplants who had a business near Astoria, OR. They saw an opportunity here in Ocean Shores and thank goodness for that! The lone downside is they're cash only. But if you read this review then you know it's cash only and won't be surprised.

I was staying at the Polynesian resort so it was super convenient that I was able to just walk here. I ordered breakfast to go since I was planning on heading out before the restaurant opened for breakfast. I appreciate that they accommodated my slightly complex order. The crab and spinach benedict looked good and tasted good. The hash browns were crispy but a bit under seasoned. The eggs were perfect and had runny yolk after I bursted them. This crab/spinach/egg combo works very well. The crab tastes very good and the spinach added a good textural component. The hollandaise sauce looks a bit funny (maybe it split?) but still tastes good. I like the benedict a lot but wish it had more crab. Service wise, the only hiccups that I experienced were that I asked for ketchup but it never arrived and I was too lazy to get up to ask again. They also ran out of to-go coffee cups so they took it off my bill. Overall I had a good experience and really enjoyed the benedict.

At Bennett's they have both cod and halibut. Unfortunately for me they only batter their cod and if you want halibut you have to have panko crumbed. The person behind the counter where you order said they prep ahead and they couldn't put the batter on halibut. I also just wanted water as that's my favorite beverage. She told me I couldn't have a regular glass of water with ice. I had to buy it in a bottle with their name printed on the label. It felt like a way to wring yet more money out of their customers. I much prefer generosity to stinginess. It just put me off from the beginning. The cod was fine. But unlike most restaurants when you get fish & chips, there was no coleslaw. All that was on my plate was part of a limp lettuce leaf for a poor excuse of a garnish. We had 2 veggie wraps and a fish sandwich in our party as well. Everybody liked their food well enough. My daughter really liked her fish sandwich. I eat out a lot and Bennett's cutting corners and lack of generosity is unlike the vast majority of restaurants I've been to. I have no desire to return. My mother-in-law lives in Ocean Shores and had suggested the Thai place. Guess we'll go there next time.
