Sugarcane rum, coffee, honey, hot sauce and premade daiquiris are some of the things you will find at this distillery. It is out aways from anything but definitely worth a visit. Most tours take about 1 hour. You mat want to give yourself at least an hour and a half at this location to checkout their merchandise. there is plenty of staff to answer your questions. You also get to sip fresh pressed sugarcane juice which if you haven't tried is a must. There are many options for tours. The walking tour does get warm quick and is muddy red dirt so ware your least favorite closed toe shoes. read more

Really nice facility and rum tasting The male staff member who did our tasing was very knowledgeable on the product and history of the building and farm. The entire experience was less than 45 minutes so you do kind of go out of your way for the experience. We probably wouldn't do it again, but enjoyed it on a rainy day in Hawaii read more

If you have about 45mins, this will be well worth the time and money. This distillery tour is veteran owned, locally owned, and partners with other local businesses on island to provide the best whisky and distillery experience. I saw on instagram that they were staying open till 8pm on a Saturday, instead of closing at their usual 5pm. I've been meaning to try this place! Them staying open later and advertising it was super helpful. We brought our two babies with us, which seems odd to a distillery, but they had a great time! We stayed for a quick drink, the food was delicious and my daughter was glued to the tv. Shockingly we had no baby meltdowns. It was a great place to chill and relax on a Saturday afternoon. The owner and the staff were so friendly and helpful, would love to go back! read more

Now they have a bar!! We've been here for the tours and enjoy their quality whiskey and gin. Owners are retired military and are super chill. Great whiskey meets great drinks. There isn't much on the menu, but what they have is delicious. Weekends they sometimes offer live music, which is why we ventured out to this side. It's a small place, there is a restroom. Bring your own snacks because there is no food for sale. They said they sometimes have food trucks, but not the night we came. My usband doesn't drink but they have sodas and kombucha. Kombucha is the Sky Hawaii brand super fresh and delicious. Try them out! Don't forget to tip your musician! read more

Went here as a treat to my boyfriend on our anniversary as he is a self proclaimed whiskey aficionado hahaha! Whiskey is not my first choice of alcohol but I reallly enjoyed the tour! It was very informative and and interactive! The tour guide was knowledgeable. We also get to bottle your own whiskey bottle in the end! 4 stars for the experience 3 stars for the whiskey itself as it was a young batch. Being a young distillery they needed to get their first batch out ASAP. Overall it's a 3.5 rating! read more

The distillery was very clean and welcoming. The staff was highly knowledgeable. We did the tour and got to learn a lot about the process and about the company itself. And there was a nice tasting at the end. However I feel that the tour was short, probably because it's a small operation, but a bit more history about the company would have been great. I also feel the tasting at the end, though nice, could have had a few for options. In the end it was a good time, but wouldn't say a must do on the island. read more

Went to the winery and made a stop here. I was the only one there at the time and the man who was there was very friendly. The tasting was great, smooth. At the time they didn't have enough of the larger bottle so I got two of the smaller ones. It made for great gifts read more

We went out for a date night. The tour was quite informative and fun. The guide Olivia explained the process really well and also explained everything so well and answered everyone's Austin's in great detail. We even got to bottle our own whiskey and seal it. They let us sample the whiskey and taught us how to avoid it properly to taste the flavor of the whiskey. We bought several as gifts as well since it made for a unique gift. read more

There is nothing I love more than a tour of a facility that makes food. Ok let me clarify, there's nothing I love more than a tasting room in a distillery...Ko'olau Distillery does not disappoint! Founded and run by veterans the tour guide was brilliant and funny! She guided us with such deftness that we were all eager to label our own bottles and taste the wide selection of craft alcohols made on the premises! My wife and I dropped into Ko'olau Distillery the other day. Lucky for us, they were just getting ready to give a tour of the distillery and whiskey making process and we were able to join in. The facility is very clean and well kept. Ian, our tour guide, was very friendly and informative about the distilling process. It was a fun, entertaining and of course, interesting to learn about the only whiskey distillery in Hawaii with it's own unique distilling process. The distillery also has a small gift section with assorted Ko'olau items, such as T-shirts, hats, etc. You can also purchase whiskey on site as well. It was definately a great time and great tasting whiskey. I highly recommend visiting Ko'olau distillery!! Job well done to these guys! read more

While planning my trip to Oahu, I found this distillery. I'm glad that I made it a point to visit! This distillery is tucked into a little industrial-ish park. (Helpful hint, when you're following your gps and it shows that you drove past it, just keep going to the next driveway. You'll see a faded sign for the distillery on the fence, turn right. Drive straight ahead, all the way to the fence. Turn left and I'll be a couple doors down.) If you've done tours of any distilleries in the Bourbon Trail or Jack Daniels, it's really interesting to see the similarities and the differences between gigantic and micro/nano distilleries. The tour was informative and the whiskey was better! read more

Was looking on line for things to do around Kailua and Kaneohe and saw that there was a distillery near by! We were surprised by the location, but was pleasantly impressed by the atmosphere and vibe of the bar/distillery. It's located in an industrial area with other businesses. We had a flight of a mix of whiskey and gin. The employee that attended to us was awesome and was incredibly informative and helpful. While we there an art class ( they were painting) was in session . Complemented with a full bar and a tasting area , they also had on sale merchandise and distilled spirits made on the premises. Came for a tasting midweek on a day they didn't have a tour and we had the Distillery to ourselves. I don't recall the name of the gentleman who helped us out but he was awesome! We really enjoyed our time with him and tasting the offerings. My favorite was the gin which was unlike other gin I've tried. There are awesome gifts as well. Would recommend if you are in the area. Parking is in the very back. read more

Finding different things to do and different places to check out is what I enjoy doing. I stumbled upon Ko'olau Distillery's webpage and saw that they did a tour. You are able to book a tour online and what's awesome, they offer Kama'aina and military pricing. The confirmation email received is very detailed and gave awesome directions as to how to get there. We didn't get lost. Ko'olau Distillery is veteran owned. Arrived on time and our tour group was about 10 people. I leaned a lot about the process of how whiskey is made. It's a science, but also an art. What's cool is that we were able to see and try for ourself the bottling process. Label, fill, cork, and seal. It was so fun. At the end, we were able to sample their whiskey, moonshine, and gin. I learned how to do a proper tasting. The moonshine was my least favorite. I really liked the taste of their whiskey. It was an awesome experience & I am glad that they offer tours like this. Support local and support our veterans. read more

Great little distillery tucked away in the foothills above Kailua. It was a bit warm the day we went, we got to taste a few nice whiskey's and some great floral aroma gin. The Old Pali Road whiskey has a great nose and pineapple overtones, what would you expect? They showed us how to bottle the gin so we took one of those home too. Worth the trip to support local businesses and taste some great distilling. read more

This distillery was wonderful! It's tucked in the back of an industrial park (like most great distilleries and breweries ), but don't worry about the scenery... after all you are still in hawaii! The owner and distiller were both super friendly and answered all of our obnoxious questions. We really enjoyed the tasting and ended up buying two bottles to take home. Best yet, they sell bubble envelopes to protect the bottles in your suitcase, so smart! Veteran owned and staffed as well! read more

We came on a non tour date but it was worth the drive. Family/ friend small business which is growing. The wife was around and showed us around. Gave us a sampling along with some chocolate that was made that incorporated their whiskey. She also gave us a mini tour and told us what they do during the tour. If we come back to the island we will definitely need to book a tour. We left with a couple bottles and souvenirs. I'm not really a whiskey person but their whiskey was nice and smooth. read more

I first came with my friend for dinner and I came with my mom for brunch after her dentist appointment, because I wanted to show her what became of the beloved Four Star Chop Suey decades ago. Brunch menu was not the usual breakfast items that we were used to, but I ordered what I thought she would like best. We had Breakfast Hash with potatoes, sausage, cheese, eggs, bell peppers but the sauce was a little spicy for mom. There were ingredients in the sauce which maybe was too much for mom. Citrus mint fruit salad, and Southern Chicken Biscuit and Gravy. The gravy was different.fitness good but, I preferred the dinner selection when I came with a friend who traveled all the way from Kapolei for some shared dishes and appetizers. The Oxtail was flavorful and delicious, The homemade breads were so warm and fresh. The breads were served with the seasonal hummus, and I love the citrus mint dressing on the fruits! So refreshing! Night time was busy and we didn't have reservations, so we were lucky we didn't have those high top table and chairs . Best to have reservations for dinner. Weekends have night entertainment in the bigger dining area. We came earlier, but as the night went on, it got busier and our waitress was also assisting other customers in the other room, so we were missed . Service could have been better. Not too many of my townie friends had made it to this side but it's a nice place to dine at to experience their food and beautiful ambiance! There were a few side parking stalls along the right wall of the restaurant, otherwise you would need to find street parking. There's a nearby 24 hour municipal parking lot and it's still a quarter of 20 minutes. This restaurant is not in the main Kailua town area. If you haven't been to Kailua, Kailua is a nice town to try all these different restaurants. You be surprised and pleased. They are closed on Monday & Tuesday. Brunch is on weekends from 9 am to 1 pm. Otherwise they open from Wednesday thru Sunday from 4pm to closing at 9pm and on Friday & Saturday nights they are opened til 11pm.

The space is rectangular, and there isnt really a great sea ting for bigger groups to be together and engaged. The restaurant should be able to fit around 25 people.
