Tried Kopp's Custard, custard was good but service left something to be desired. Place is definitely busy, expect a crowd. Good custard overall, just wish the service matched.

This was my first visit to Kopps - but if I ever come to WI again I totally will come back here. First off, everything was absolutely delish. I went w the vanilla cone, and other members of my party got the butter pecan or the root beer float. We were all very happy w our orders. Second, I can't believe how affordable it was. I can't speak for the burgers and other food - but they seemed popular.

Haven't been here in years The Strawberry Shake and the cheeseburger with onions Service is good and Ambiance is like Happy Days you stand around the tall tables no chairs or outside.

Wait was longer than needed. I wish there was table.seating available for these monster burgers. Otherwise the burger was really tasty and huge. Good value for the amount t of food. I also had onion rings that were crispy and good. We sat outside by the fountain. Parking was difficult. Lost a star Bc of parking and lack of tables/seating. My daughter dropped her coke and eating on a bench sucked. Curious how people eat here in colder months?? Custard was good, I had a vanilla Sunday with strawberries, tasty, but Leon's was better. Don't hate :) I'm new to custard

He's nasty asl touching all the food everything dirty gloves

Well the guy on the ketchup station looks gross n touching doors and everything that's not food then dipping his hands in the onion bucket then to top it off refills the ketchup the over spill with the sane gloves wipes it up with his fingers turn places it back in side the ketchup bottle puts the lid on n proceeds to work at his station using the same contaminated ketchup on customers food that everyone has to eat. His appearance even looks bad . My first n last time . Teach your workers about cross contamination.. ppl can get really sick from his poor practices. Pray over your food ppl . It's Shame I can't get topping on my food bc he contaminated everything

Kopp's was packed. There's not much room to dine in, just a few tables along the wall where you can stand if you're lucky enough to grab one. There are also stairs outside, and a lot of people were out there eating and hanging out. Even though it was so busy, they had a really organized system and the wait wasn't too long. But that burger was good. You could actually taste the butter, and it was huge. The toppings were fresh too. I also tried the custard of the day, wedding cake, and it was so good. It even had a moist piece of cake mixed in. If I'm ever in town again, I'd go back.

This is always a set stop on our road trip from Chicago to Wisconsin, but our experience was a bit more disappointing this time. Even though we were one of the first guests (right after 10:30), we still had to wait about 15 minutes for our food & custard and it wasn't even that busy this time. The meat quality is good but I didn't like my burger the Kopps way. My husband ordered it like this because it seemed easy and good, but it had way too much relish and onions. This trip we had a 6 and 1,5 year old with us and this place can be a little stressful with young kids as there is no official seating. They did like seeing the cows in the parking lot and the spoon and cherry "statue" inside.

As someone who grew up in Wisconsin and moved away- when I come back this is the only spot on my must-visit list when I come home. I bring all my out of town visitors here for iconic big, flat, buttery burgers and the best custard. You haven't had custard until you've had Kopps. All the people I bring say it's lived up to the hype...and I hype it a lot. It's loud inside, can get busy but it's worth it. Seating is mostly outside, there are a few standing tables inside but you'll likely want to take it somewhere else to eat (perhaps your car...) in the winter if it's packed. Get onion rings (they're panko and not beer battered which make them feel less greasy imo), a cheeseburger with the works to split with someone and custard with a root beer!

We had to wait a bit on a Sunday afternoon, but it was well worth it. We tried the special French Toast sundae, Blue Moon milkshake, and the Turtle sundae. Everything was delicious, and top notch! I've heard the burgers are huge and delicious, too. The pup really enjoyed his Pup Cup!

When I first moved to WI, everyone told me I needed to go to Kopps. I can say it lived up to h the hype!! The custard is delicious and there are so many flavors! The burger and fries were also SO GOOD. This will be a place I frequent

We liked this place! Decently priced burgers, fries and of course custard. A beautiful June evening and plenty of space to eat outside. Got fries, one cheeseburger with the works minus mustard and one plain cheeseburger for the two toddlers to share (and since these cheeseburgers are as big as your face it was double the amount of food they could eat). Set us back about $18 minus tip. After all that shared as a family the Kopps Special Sunday (about $9). Top notch choice!

I see the appeal to Kopps, that's for sure!! Even in 20 degree weather, this place is busy as ever! I love that they rotate their flavors daily; so much innovation. Super quick service, lots of standing room. Can't wait to be back the next time we visit!

Kopp's custard and hamburgers are the best! I am obsessed with them. I went to school in Milwaukee so I tried Kopp's many years ago. I always order the delicious burgers. For custard, I usually get the flavor of the day or chocolate and vanilla. I used to go all season, even when it is cold out. The place gets busy, especially during the warm weather and weekends, but the service is fast. There are no seats inside, just tall tables. There are benches outside. Can't wait to make the trek up to Milwaukee soon!

Ask the Community - Kopp's Frozen Custard

Do they have dairy free ice cream?

They do not. But the non-ice cream food is worth a visit by itself!

How far is kopp's from the pfister hotrl?

About 10 miles. Would be a long walk. Could take a bike from downtown on the Oak Leaf trail. Trail is safe but I do prefer to take it in day light.

This is only a small store, with maybe 2 or 3 tables and a few high seats near the front window. I could be wrong but I didn't see any outdoor/patio seating. Because the place was so busy, it was tough to see all of the ice cream options. It sure looked like there were "31 flavors" though! Because we couldn't make it all the way around, I opted for the first one that stuck out to me - oreo s'more. Omg. I very rarely have treats like, but dang was it good. Literally tasted like a perfect swirl of graham cracker and marshmallow flavored ice cream, with add chunks of oreo. Just one scoop was enough for me. They have this cute option for kids called Creature Creations, which is essentially a scoop of ice cream with a theme - dinosaur, unicorn, or alien. Our son loves dinos so we went with that one (see photo). To no surprise, he loved the chocolate and sprinkles! Plus it came with a dinosaur crown he wore on our way out of the shop. Beyond just regularly-served ice cream, here you'll find customizable cakes and pies, malts, sundaes, polar pizza (aka cookie pie w ice cream), bakery treats, and beverages. Basically anything and everything to satisfy your sweet tooth.

There was a mother with children and another man in front of me when ordering. It took about 1 minute, if that, before I could order. I feel that is pretty dang efficient. There were 2 girls working the blizzard and ice cream machines. They were creating these fantastic treats like nobody's business. The mother with the kids: the boys order cones, which were up instantly. The mother ordered a blizzard, which does take more than 25 seconds to whip up. It was maybe 1 minute, if that after her 2nd son received his dipped cone that the blizzard came out. This woman, who is obviously unhappy with herself and her life, was totally mean to these innocent girls that were making the treats. She rolled her eyes at them and was commenting about how unhappy she was. She stormed out. The employees were speechless. I felt so bad. When they made up my blizzard I did my best to console them, explaining that some people are just miserable and they want everyone else to be miserable too. I work at a store in Bayshore mall. I recognized all employees working were actually working. They were very polite, well spoken, and extremely efficient. This customer was wrong to act this way toward them. I actually told them to please apply to the the store where I work because we need help and I recognized they were very good employees. I didn't take my receipt or ask their names, but it was 3 girls. My time of visit was approximately 4:45pm on August 25, 2018. In terms of food: my turtle pecan blizzard was everything I could have asked for and then some. I wish this location had the full menu because the DQ cheeseburger and chicken strip baskets are pretty amazing. My visit today, in terms of employee interaction and how they handled a very rude customer, was definitely 5 star. I know I am going to gain 3 pounds from my blizzard but it was my conscious decision to consume these calories. I will likely make this poor delicious again after an extremely long, 6 day work week. If all the employees are as kind and respectful as the ones I met today, then it makes my experience totally worth it :)

Haven't been in years and it was the first time to this (new'ish) location. It was clean as can be, and despite being fairly busy, the staff did great cranking out orders. My two littles split the kids cheese burger, which as a meal came with a side, drink, and ice cream scoop. All this for like 8 bucks is a heck of a deal in my opinion. Sizable portions too. I also added an extra side of broccoli (nice they offer that). I went with the grilled chicken sandwich and it was darn good! I'm not someone who regularly eats fast food, and quite honestly am normally turned off by it, but the quality here was good! We sat inside at a booth, and pulled up a kids highchair that came equip with a whole tray attachment. If you're a parent to a small kiddo, you know that's appreciated. They do have plenty of outdoor seating as well. Prefer to take food to go? They've got dual drive thru lines. Maybe we'll swing through there sometime soon since we did indeed enjoy our meals.
