The line isn't as crazy as when it first open since they can make more customers. They specialized in Filipino flavors. If you like brioche donuts, this is the place for you. They have a lot of other items including focaccia or open faced sandwiches. The cost is a bit high though it's worth it. If you haven't tried them, you need to try them.
Kora is lovely place to eat. I got multiple pastries to try. I really liked the focaccia with grape tomatoes and fig donut which I believe is seasonal. I got the pandan matcha latte which you can taste has quality matcha. Service was relatively fast considering the place gets packed quick.
Came back again to one of my favorite bakeries in NY. The owner is super kind and friendly. He stays around inside and will talk to you both in line while you're outside or inside when waiting for a drink. The pastries are amazing, drinks are phenomenal. There's some seating inside, first come first serve. Lots of wood and beige and plants inside. There's also a bathroom in the back, no code. Be sure to budget some time when coming here as there is pretty much always a line, even when they first open in the mornings.
This is my favorite bakery in NY so far. When I say there are no misses so far, I mean it. All the pastries I've tried are delicious and that's hard to do. Service is always quick and the line moves fast. The space has some tables and is very clean. I've tried the spam & cheese pan suisse, the kouign aman, the ube donut, the flan donut, the mango float donut, the calamansi basil donut, the macadamia sable. They're all good. I don't even know how to choose favorites but if I had to, the mango float donut from the summer menu is outrageously delicious. It's the perfect sweetness and amount of cream to mango chunks to mango puree to pastry. I also love love love the passionfruit matcha danish and the flan donut. Overall, I highly highly recommend Kora Bakery.
Amazing bakery. Extremely friendly service and the quality of the pastries here are a dream. I went on a Friday morning and most seats were occupied, but I was able to get a seat as the area is spacious and open. The standout here is the Mango Float donut. It's a seasonal special so make sure you stop by before it's gone! The chantilly complements the mango compote perfectly and without overdoing the sweetness. In fact, it wasn't too sweet, which is a huge compliment. If you're looking for decadence, the leche flan ni nola is great. Personally, it wasn't my favorite, but only because I think this made me realize I prefer leche flan as its own dish. Regardless, the quality of the flan was amazing. Had the perfect texture and caramelized taste. The drink--their seasonal matcha guava drink (the MSG)--was delicious. You definitely have to stir it as the guava at the bottom is a bit heavier than the other parts of the drink. But quality matcha and solid drink flavor profile. Felt very summery and fresh! I can't wait to go back another time!
I've been meaning to make it out to Kora for so long! I'm glad we finally made it out early on a Sunday morning. There was still a line, but pretty short. The cold brew was refreshing but a little sweet. The ube donut had a strong ube flavor but wasn't particularly impressive in terms of texture, flavor profile, etc. The flan donut was quite a standout for me. Obviously very heavy but split 4 ways it wasn't too bad. Unique concept, excellent execution = a fun and exciting experience. The flavors on the strawberry calamansi donut were particularly good - the sourness and sweetness of each fruit played off each other nicely. The croissant was pretty standard but I enjoyed it because I love cheese. I think it definitely could have been more cheesy and more crispy but overall no complaints. I'd skip the ube donut next tjme and would probably reorder the flan or the strawberry calamansi. I'm interested in their breakfast sandwich and other savory items. Definitely worth a trip out to Queens if you're a pastry fan like me
I've been wanting to try out Kora and so glad we did because it was worth the hype. We picked up a variety of their Filipino-inspired pastries, and every single one was fresh and well balanced. My favorite by far was the ube donut. The ube flavor was rich and earthy without being overly sweet. It was light, fluffy, and the natural flavor of the ube shines through instead of being masked by sugar. The matcha passion fruit donut was another standout with its creamy, tangy passionfruit filling which made it not overly heavy. The only thing is I can hardly taste any matcha. All the donuts and croissants were surprisingly light, fluffy, and decadent. Everything tasted fresh and not overwhelmingly sweet. Would definitely want to return for more when we're in the area.
I've been wanting to come here for a while as I also wanted to explore the Sunnyside neighborhood. I would say the best thing to get is the ube donut as well as the salted egg babka. I was sadly not a fan of the spam and egg croissant or the flan donut. The flan was too dense and thick for our liking, and I wasn't a fan of the sticky coating of the spam and egg croissant. Has potential, but needs a bit of improvement with execution - the flan could be lighter, ube cookie softer, and the spam and egg croissant could've been just crispy and buttery on the outside. 4/5
Ordered a dozen - got doubles of A few times so everyone in my family can taste them. The ube was the first one finished. The strawberry donut, ensaymada, pineapple coconut and mango float were good. The flan was delicious but too heavy. There was a line but it moved quickly. Service was quick as well. Nice coffee shop with plenty of seating 4 stars because the donuts were a bit pricey. $100 for a dozen is a little too much. This is a 'nice to check off the list' place.
Finally got to try the famous Kora donuts! While the cream in the calamansi basil donut was a bit too tangy and sweet for my personal taste, the real standout for me was their Pandan Matcha Latte. They source their matcha from Kettl, so you already know it's good quality matcha. It was absolutely delicious and perfectly balanced!
Great spot for unique fresh bakery foods and ube cravings! Staff is friendly and keeps the line moving. Not a lot of seats so best to take goods to go.

I'm glad to see they have a brick & mortar now and the space is well-designed and the kitchen area overlooking the pastry display, there's some seating which was nice to see (I was expecting none), and the staff was so friendly! It was a Thursday around 10am and thankfully there was no line and they were still fully stocked. We got a bunch of pastries that I came in wanting to try and others that just caught my eye. Everything was honestly fantastic. If you're not looking to spend ~$40 on pastries, then the standouts I would get were the Passionfruit Matcha Danish, Ube Donut, and Strawberry Calamansi Shortcake in that order. The Passionfruit Matcha Danish was a perfect pastry (and I don't ever say that). The passionfruit cream actually tasted like passionfruit, the fact that they use Kettl matcha shows they take quality seriously, and the white chocolate ganache mixed with the matcha powder made for such a creamy, delicious, and earthy bite. The fried brioche on the Strawberry Calamansi Shortcake was so pillowy and fresh and I loved the white chocolate chantilly. The Ube Donut was honestly quite dense but what I liked about it was that it was filled to the brim with ube pastry cream! And this cream tasted unlike any other ube cream I've had; it had some texture (not fully creamy), great ube flavor, and balanced sweetness. I found the ube glaze on the outside to be too sticky and slightly weird but the ube brioche & pastry cream helped me quickly look past that. Both drinks we got were also beautifully crafted, the flavors were spot on, and the layers were distinct. They looked better than they tasted but honestly, I'm comparing it to the incredible pastries so it's a high bar. I wish they had more savory (non-pork) pastry options. All in all, a great first visit here and I'd definitely come back!
Finally went to Kora to try their items. The pastries were delicious. I ordered the Ube donut, Leche Flan Ni Lola Spam and Cheese croissant, Ube coconut cookie. Will come back and try other items. Also the staff were friendly and patient with my large order.
I had long awaited for Kora to re-open in their new location, so it's a wonder that I haven't made the trip to Queens sooner. Well, I finally had the chance to try it (a few months later than I should have), and my oh my, what a great bakery this is. Excited as I was to try their fare, I over-enthusiastically bought more pastries than I could finish in one sitting (don't worry, I took home the leftovers!). I've enjoyed every bite, and although the pastries look decadent, they were flavorful but not too sweet. They were enough to satisfy my craving for a sweet treat without feeling cloyed. You simply cannot visit a Filipino bakery and not order ube, so of course I tried their ube cookie and donut. Both were delicious and generously filled with thick ube halaya (jam) that I could tell was made with the real thing and not with artificial flavoring. The cookie had a nice chew while the donut was wonderfully soft like a pillow. Oh, and the mirror glaze on that donut - perfection! To break up the sweetness, I also ordered the spam croissant, which was so good, I would certainly return for it. The cheddar cheese filling was superbly salty with a hint of pimiento peppers and, I believe, Lao Gan Ma chili crisp. The flan donut was tender, the custard on top rich without feeling like I couldn't take a second bite. The margarine on the ensaymada croissant was silky and sweet from the granulated sugar. The shaved cheese added a nice savory salted egg flavor to it. The croissant pastry itself was flaky, layered, yet tender on the inside - everything a croissant ought to be. Each item I tried at Kora was expertly made, with inventive flavors that beautifully marry traditional Filipino tastes and French pastry technique. I do not doubt that every single item on the menu is delicious. (As someone who nearly bought half of the offerings there, I think I know what I'm talking about.) Please please please, come to Kora. It will quickly become your favorite, as it has quickly become mine. read more

We waited for the lines to hype down at this place. About five months later and it was worth it. First time coming here there was a selection of colorful donuts. Starting from the lychee raspberry, Matcha strawberry green tea, Ube loaded (same concept as a Boston crème doughnut), and mango sugar glazed. When experimenting with many donut flavors, we tested which were the popular ones. Traditionally the Ube flavor doughnut flavor won. My next favorite was the lychee raspberry. Seasonally it seems the flavors do change and rotate. But let's not forget the beverages too. The Ube iced coffee and the pandan iced latte, which is one the few places that serves this here. Even on a cold day, the Ube iced coffee is so rich and decadent with a chockful of ube flavoring over the coffee. The line does move fast and the workers do an amazing job. Longest line I've experienced is waiting 10 minutes. The key is getting here early so you can get a chance to grab as many flavors as you can. The donuts are huge, but be warned are expensive. Worth the treat as these donuts are unique. read more
I specifically drove from Philly to NYC to try their pastries! The staff seemed so kind and friendly, and their drinks and sweet goods were phenomenal and totally worth the hype! Plus, they have a clean and huge bathroom which is unheard of at most NYC bakeries. I had the following: Ube Fried Brioche: The most amazing brioche I have had. The Ube filling was plentiful Leche Flan Ni Lola: So luscious and silky Ube Latte: So pretty and the Purple yam was a delightful combination with Espresso Pandan & Matcha Latte: I could taste the Pandan and Matcha flavors distinctly which usually is not the case. Coco Jam Latte: Thankful that I got this as a last minute decision, there was a sweetness and saltiness to it that made the drink so balanced. read more
Definitely a spot to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings with a Filipino twist. The lines can get long, but they move quickly. The place itself is nice, a bit trendy appeal. But not overbearing. Unfortunately, all the seats were taken. So, we had to take our food on the go. The pastries were very good. We got the ensaymada, ube latte, the coco jam latte (a must have) and a whole bunch of stuff I forgot (my wife went to town on the stuff we bought ). Since we don't really go to Sunnyside that often, it was worth the trip. read more
Met up with a friend who lives in Sunnyside and had bought this for our meet up. I was so excited to try it as the last time I was there the line was so long I gave up. My friend got a mixed box of different types of Donuts but my favourite was the Ube one. It was mind blowing! I wish they open a branch in the city. In the interim i will have to rely on my friend. Or consider moving to Sunnyside! read more

Came here on New Year's Eve they were out of most stuff just had three types of cookies left a short bread sandwich cookie with a coco Carmel filling and cookie with date toffee and a chocolate cookie I put them down with my son and family member and they were already being eaten while I was waiting for out ube lates Although place was packed and busy , line moved fast and I was able to get a seat to sit down and enjoy my desserts and late All the cookies were great my favorite being the coco jam shortbread cookie sandwich The lates were so rich and barista put pretty art work for each Can't wait to come back and try the full menu read more
Re-reviewing because the Kamotecue danish (Fall 2025 menu) is incredible - one of the best pastries they've ever made. Banana and caramelized white chocolate cookie also remains flawless. Turon hojicha latte was good, but the banana is a little sweet/concentrated. Will stick to the ube latte. read more

Such an amazing spot! Have been dying to come here as I love Asian food and donuts- so this is the perfect spot. Tried 2 donuts and no line which was nice. Space is overall large and was no seating at first but slowly opened up. For donuts- went with ube and flan.. both amazing. Have not tried anything like it and you can taste the quality- really a must try and recommend strongly read more
More like a 3.75. This was just okay for me, maybe I had high expectations. Their choices are overwhelmingl! But for a first visit, I went with the Ube donut & Black sesame hojicha creuller (Fall '25). I restrained myself from getting the matcha crueller or Pumpkin leche flan (Fall '25). All are around $7-8. The donuts are on the larger side, well made, and very artisanal with types flavors and decorations. I just didn't find them to have much flavor. Mine were nicely fried donuts and crueller, but the Ube was kind of one note with an extremely sweet frosting on top. The cream inside was generous and fine. The crueller is just a plain donut with also generous amount of very sweet frosting on top. At first there was a nice black sesame flavor, but after a few bites, everything got too sweet. The "hojicha" was in the sesame crisp decoration on top. I didn't taste any hojicha flavor in it. I guess I was expecting black sesame or hojicha in the dough. I realize this when trying to decide on the seasonal Pumpkin leche flan. The "pumpkin" flavor was the garnish on top (can't remember if it was frosting or decoration). No pumpkin flavored dough or pumpkin flavored flan. That would have been amazing. I went before lunchtime on a weekend and must've lucked out because there wasn't a line. A lot of the tables were full and there was a stream of people coming in. The owner seems so nice. And the space is gorgeous! Feathered painted earth tone walls, warm minimal decorations and plants. Objects from both of the couples' cultural backgrounds. The staff uniforms and caps were on point! Food displays were clear & labeled. They thought of everything! The staff is very patient in explaining everything. Unfortunately, for the price point & the pastry, although not too sweet except for the sugar frosting, this is a one-time visit. I've been following Kora for awhile, since before they had their physical location, and I've been waiting for the day I can finally try their pastries. I went during an off peak time on a weekday, and damn was I lucky. Everything was in stock, so I got a box of doughnuts and an ube latte. I feel like the photo speaks for itself. The flavors are so unique, the texture was wonderfully pillowy and doughy, and the taste was great! The ube latte wasn't anything special, but the doughnuts are 100% worth the wait for! The store itself is nicely built, and the staff was super friendly. Kudos to Kora for taking care of their staff and putting their employees first! Can't wait to visit again! read more
The line wasn't too bad- total wait time was about 20 mins on a busy Saturday. Kora is filled with some Filipino flavors, assortment of delicious and seasonal flavors pastries too. I tried some of their classics and one seasonal item: ube, flan, spam, and pomegranate cheesecake. I also was interested in their smoky mountain seasonal drink because it has hojicha! The pastries were good and not too sweet. The flavors comes through and I love how much filling were inside. The salted coco jam latte was so GOOD!! Tasted like a coconut candy from my childhood. But the smoky mountain was a tad bit too watery for me. I'll prob come back to try other pastries and re order the coco jam latte again. read more
Wow, this spot was excellent! I'd been hearing about the new incredible pastries and I'm glad I finally got the chance to enjoy them! I arrived on a weekday morning, about 15 minutes before they opened and there was already a short line. The owner greeted everyone and provided a brief explanation for what to expect and thanked the customers for the support of his business - this definitely added a nice personal touch to the experience. I had the following items: -Ensaymada Croissant -Ube Brioche -Caramelized Banana Cookie -Salted Coco Jam Latte The Ensaymada Croissant was the star - a perfect croissant with the addition of also being a perfect ensaymada with the right blend of cheese, sugar and butter. The Ube Brioche was very good - nice, subtle ube flavor. The Banana Cookie was overly sweet and not really for me. The Coco Latte was such a nice surprise - I had it without coffee and it was a perfect blend of sweet, creamy and slightly salty - delicious! This place is super popular so make sure to plan ahead. There is some indoor seating, but not a lot. The space is modern, yet warm. read more

Visited Kora on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm with my brother and his family. I already knew this place was pretty hyped and tends to sell out, so I tagged along. Even at that hour, there was a line out the door and the place was completely packed. We originally planned to dine in, but there were no seats available. Luckily, the line moved fairly quickly. Kora is known for their Filipino-inspired pastries--think kalabasa, turon, kamote, leche flan danishes, etc.--plus cookies. The danishes honestly felt like a bit much for me, so I skipped those and ordered a mix of their cookies instead: -Auro Chocolate Chunk -Caramelized White Chocolate & Banana -Food for the Goddesses -Jasmine, Calamansi & Ginger Sablé -Ube Coconut The standout was definitely the Ube Coconut cookie--soft, chewy, with a slight crunch on the outside and really great flavor. Runner-up was the Jasmine, Calamansi & Ginger sablé, which surprised me. It's super crumbly and not the most visually exciting, but the combo of citrus and ginger really worked. I wouldn't have thought to order it based on looks alone, but it ended up being one of the more unique bites. The rest of the cookies tasted pretty similar to each other--kind of a blind-test situation where you wouldn't really know which was which. I also got the matcha pandan latte with oat milk. The pandan was barely there--mostly tasted like oat milk taking over. Maybe regular milk would balance it better next time. Overall, an okay experience. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, and I definitely wouldn't come here specifically for dessert or drinks. If someone else wanted to go or treat me, I'd happily grab another ube cookie--but that's about it. I love sweets, but Kora's style leans a little too toward "diabetes-inducing" for me. read more

i bought from kora multiple times when they were just doing their weekend drops in LIC, so I'm so happy they were able to open their own place in sunnyside :) I've gone twice since they've opened. In the summer, we had their short rib & mushroom danish, blueberry calamansi fritter, and maja blanca (corn coconut donut). We also got the MSG (matcha strawberry guava) and calamansi matcha spritz for drinks. This fall, I tried the tres leches danish and the apple tamarind sidra. Their donuts and pastries have great flavors and i appreciate that they switch out seasonally! A lot of the core flavors are similar to what they used to offer at their old weekend drops, but they also have a lot of new flavors. I love their drinks, and it's a great new add that they didn't have with their old business model. The apple tamarind sidra has a brown butter foam on top which is delicious!! I recommend going there earlier because they do sell out of certain items and the line can get pretty long. read more

This one we've seen all over social media but we weren't going anywhere near it so we had our friend get us some to-go and we're so glad we did! This is some of the most decadent donuts you will ever eat! It has Filipino flavors which I love and it tastes (and looks!) like they were made with love. This might be my favorite pastry location in New York. I tried their ube donut along with the spam &cheese croissant and it was so delicious! The ube had a slight crunch on the outside and creamy&chewy on the inside, it almost reminded me of a mochi donut. I usually don't gravitate towards sweet donuts, but this one was a 10/10. The spam & cheese croissant was so good, this was actually my second one. It was savory but had a slight sweetness on the outside glaze. I would definitely come back to try the other donuts. I also had a drip coffee and I also recommend! I'm sure their specialty coffees are delicious based on what I had so far. read more
They are located on a commercial street, meter parking in the immediate area. They are open Wednesday to Sunday, 9 am to 4 pm. Came on a Wednesday morning, arrived around 845 am and got meter parking right across the street (meters start at 830 am). There was already a decent line of customers waiting outside, I joined in. The owner came out a couple minutes before 9 am to thank us for coming and that they would be opening a few minutes after 9 am, they let us in at about 9:04 am. The inside is modern, bright, and beautiful. They have seating areas and a giant glass window where you can see staff making the pastries. They have a good pace of moving customers along; order pastries at the beginning of the line and drinks at the register before you pay. They take cash and card. Once inside, I ordered and walked out with my goodies within 10 minutes. For my first time, I went with the ube donut, calamansi fritter, and banoffee hazelnut Danish. For drinks I ordered the iced ube latte with almond milk. They charge $1 extra for almond/oat milk, or you can get regular whole milk. My 4 items came to $33.81 after tax. Every pastry was heaven; the ube donut was my absolute favorite, soft, chewy, not overly sweet and good ube flavor. The other two pastries were also not overly sweet and had amazing flavor profiles as well. The calamansi fritter has a touch of tartness. Slight drawback was the packaging of the desserts; because I got 3 items and not six I got the smaller box which left the fritter and donut sticking together and separating the glaze from the donut onto the fritter. The ube latte was great as it relates to ube flavor. My drawback was the milk to espresso ratio; it was basically a cup of ube milk with barely any coffee flavor, to where I added a shot of espresso to the drink when I got home and that made it a perfectly balanced drink. I hands down plan to return and try more items, and get more ube donuts! read more

Love this Filipino bakery! They offer elevated Filipino flavors that instantly remind me of the Philippines. We tried a few different items and everything was delicious, but my favorites were the Ensaymada Croissant and the Leche Flan ni Lola. I also had the Ube Latte, which was really good. The space is cozy and beautifully decorated, and I love that the kitchen is open so you can see them making or putting the finishing touches on the donuts. The only downside is the limited seating and the fact that it's a bit far from where we live. Otherwise, we'd definitely be here more often! read more
AHHH so happy to finally try Kora's new spot! Before even trying anything, ALL the pastries are stunning in the display case. The workers were really hustling to refill all of the pastries because they were selling them off so fast on a Sunday morning. I loved EVERYTHING we tried. WOW. I was blown away by the flavors and quality of the pastries, both sweet and savory. I also ordered the hot version of the Salted coco jam latte which was delicious, and I'd get again! My faves were the ube donut (if you're an ube lover, you MUST try!) and the Spam & Cheese Pain Suisse. SOO GOOD. I dont' want to jinx it but as of August 2025, the crazy lines have placated a bit since their opening. If you come before noon there's a high likelihood of ur favorite items not getting sold out and grabbing one of the tables if youre dining in. read more

Delicious pastries with unique flavors! Definitely worth both the praise and the trek out to Sunnyside. Recently Kora started opening at 7:30 am but they don't have their full pastry menu until 9 am sharp. I got there at around 8:40 am and decided to wait for the full menu (the limited menu was about 6 items and didn't include any seasonal items or donuts). A line does start forming about 2-3 minutes before of everyone who wants to order (even some people who we're sitting/already ordered got back in line for more!). I meant to get two pastries but ended up getting four, which should be a sign of just how good everything looked. In order from most to least favorite I tried: - Kamotecue Danish: basically a sweet potato danish, I loved the flavor + the meringue on top. Not too sweet, unfortunately it's a seasonal flavor. - Ube Brioche Donut: a classic, this was so good. The only thing I didn't like was the ube chips placed on top but those are easy to remove (for me it just didn't add anything to the dish and if anything was a weird textural contrast). - Black Sesame Cruller: The cruller was well fried and the black sesame nutty and gao. - Tamarind Apple Fritter: I was surprised this was my least favorite but I think it was just a little too bright in taste for me. However, I could see this easily being someone else's fav. Even though Kora is definitely out of the way for me, it's now firmly on the top of my NYC bakery list. Maybe it's a good thing it's far, or else I'd be here way too often. read more
My friends brought some pastries from Kora to share yesterday morning because they said it is their favorite place to get pastries. We shared four different seasonal ones, and they were all absolutely delicious!!! My friend was also raving about the mushroom pastry, which was a summer special, so hopefully I get to try it one day/y'all bring it back again in the future. The four we tried were the jasmine, calamansi & ginger sablé; black sesame & houjicha cruller; salted egg babka; and tres leches danish. The sablé had a great crisp texture and smooth filling. The cruller really delivered on black sesame flavor. The babka was made of a beautiful croissant dough and the salted egg flavor comes through at the end. And the tres leches danish was surprisingly bursting with milk in the middle underneath a soft pillowy blanket of cream yet still crispy on the outer edge. I don't know what sorcery/magic they use, but everything was well-executed and probably the best pastries I have had before. As someone visiting from the West Coast, I am jealous of all the New Yorkers who get to go to Kora easily. Highly recommend any of their pastries since everything we had was 10/10! read more

My friends and I stopped by on a Saturday around 12:30-1pm. The line was dying down and luckily for us, there were a decent amount of pastries still available. They definitely did increase production and did not sell out so early as they used to. So, that's a improvement. There were a few unavailable like the ube donut and banoffe. But they still had a good selection to choose from. My friends and I each got our own drinks and shared the pastries to-go. We got matcha cruller, ube swirl and leche flan. I really enjoyed the matcha cruller. It wasn't overly sweet and the matcha taste was there. The flan on the other hand was loaded inside. The caramel immediately spilled out as soon as we cut into it. But I really did enjoy the flan in the middle. The ube swirl was light in flavor and had a nice crunch with the white sugar on top. In general, their pastries were great, drinks were also nice. Overall, it did meet my expectation that came with the popularity of this spot. read more

Food was amazing and service is so quick. The line moved quickly once you are inside. There was a slight wait for us outside. I would say the ambiance is very lively. The only downside I wish kora did manage was the inside seating and table management. It was clear some people were holding the tables while they didn't have their food yet, and people with food was waiting for tables, so it's a little difficult to grab a table. The crowd does die down later in the day, but expect a crowded morning if you are there on the weekend and perhaps a line. read more

Heard about this Filipino bakery while I was in New York, and I'm so glad I took a trip to Sunnyside, NY. Kora is a nice, cozy spot where you can sit down and enjoy some pastries or one of the drinks they offer. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they give great suggestions on what to try. My favorite was their ube and coconut cookie, but everything we got was amazing. I recommend getting there early, as Kora often has a long line just to get inside -- but trust me, it's well worth the wait. I finally made it to their physical location! I was scared off for a while since I read about the lines at this place when they opened but I decided to make the trek and got there at opening time on a Saturday morning. There was a decent line there already, but it moved pretty quickly. The interior was modern and spacious and had a decent amount of seating (there's also free wifi) so this might actually be a nice place to grab a seat and hang out when it's not as busy on a weekday. I was intrigued by their new fall seasonal flavors, so I got the jasmine, calamansi, ginger sable, the salted coconut donut, black sesame hojicha cruller, and the leche flan kalabasa donut. The sable was good - it was tender and crumbly but the flavors felt a bit muted to me (slight hint of jasmine and I was expecting a strong zingy kick from the calamansi but I didn't quite get it). The salted coconut donut was my favorite and my friend really liked the black sesame hojicha cruller (this was probably my least favorite because the nuttiness of both the black sesame paste and the hojicha combined was overpowering; it was also on the sweeter side). The leche flan kalabasa brioche donut was good (it was spiced and tasted like pumpkin pie) but the flan on top I think was overbaked - it was a little dense and eggy. Honestly I'm probably being overcritical - I still love how creative they get with their flavors and I feel like their dough bases (for the cruller and brioche) are well-executed. I was eyeing the ensaymada croissant for next time, and I also want to try their fun drinks so I will be back at some point! read more

I remember seeing this place on IG awhile ago and thinking oh wow, thats a very interesting concept. I happened to be in the neighborhood (first time in sunnyside) and my friend and I dropped in for some drinks and pastries. He got a seasonal drink which was pretty good and I ended up getting the Ube Latte (there was a mix up in my order and they were kind enough to offer to remake my drink but I said it was okay). The ube latte was very good and I love the size of it too. But I think the true spotlight are the pastries omg the salted egg ube babka is so GOOD! I would rate Kora between 4 and 4.5 stars-- good but don't think it's worth the commute for me. Of the pastries I tried, ranked by how much I liked them: 1.) Mango float: my favorite by a wide margin, def recommend! So light and airy, perfect ratio of cream to mango filling to donut 2.) Blueberry calamansi fritter: good springy texture, great blueberry flavor that went very well with the calamansi 3.) Raspberry lychee donut: amount of filling overwhelmed the rest of the donut a little but still very good 4.) FFG cookie: flavor strongly reminiscent of pecan pie, so if you like pecan pie, you'll like this! 5.) Banoffee hazelnut danish: lots of banana flavor, was a little overwhelmed by the amount of cream. Very rich and heavy 6.) Spam and cheese croissant: good flavor, found it too salty 7.) Coffee cruller: Very strong oil flavor, both my sister and I liked this one the least I also liked the salted coco jam latte-- lots of coconut flavor, very yummy. read more
The space is nice and spacious. This is a great place to meet up for coffee and an assortment of pastries. The staff is very helpful when picking. It was easy to find street parking. The fig danish was one of the best bites I have ever had, makes me sad it's seasonal. The spam and cheese pastry was flavorful. read more
Saw them from their inception as pop up and super stoked that they finally have a storefront for me to try these pastries that would be so difficult to get during their drops. Unassuming but really star of the show for me was the coco jam alfajor (housemade coco jam sandwiched in butter cookies). SO good, so buttery. The salted coco jam latte was excellent. Espresso goes so well with this coconut jam. There's plenty of seating but it's also really popular, so don't plan on getting seats if you're coming on the weekends. They also have some outdoor seating. Wifi is available. Laptops are welcome on weekdays only. read more
