The food here was really good. We got the sizzling sisig and it was delicious with the egg. The special was the spicy crab yellow curry and it was the best meal of the night!! The server rated it a 7:10 spice level and it lingered. It was so good with the rice. The ube ice cream was really good as well. Pork Belly Adobo wasn't too bad, I really enjoyed the egg in the vinegar. There was a wait but we walked in 6:20 pm and was told we had until 7:15 pm if we did want to eat. We did it LOL. If you were to come here, definitely make sure you have a reservation. The ambiance is a very decorate fun place and a nice touch of South East Asian decor.

Visit June 2026: Very popular hip Asian fusion (mostly Filipino and Thai). Reservations are suggested. Loud music and funky decor starting with the wrench used as a door handle to the restrooms with wallpaper made from newspaper comic strips. Service was quick and efficient, very business like. They were busy I get it but still how about a little smile lol. Positive and fun interactions with staff contribute to the enjoyment after all. We arrived and it was still HH so one of their signature drinks, Kentucky Pig, was only $10. Bourbon, ginger, curry leaf , and mint. Crushed ice so kind of like a twist on a mint julep. Unfortunately the HH lumpia were all sold out. Khao soi: Yummy coconut curry based broth. Felt there should have been more chicken or maybe the pieces were just small? Sizzling Sisig: I've had better Sisig. Felt it could have been a little more crisp and some more heat from chilies. Claypot spareribs: Winner! Super tender rib meat and the sauce was went well with the coconut rice. Tangy and spicy. Brussels Sprouts: Standard take surprisingly. Desserts: Ube soft serve is fantastic! Fun place to hang out with friends and family.

    Sizzling Sisig with Garlic Rice

Came here for brunch and only made a reservation for 2 about an hour beforehand during the weekend and was very grateful to have gotten some seats at the bar. I ordered the Sizzling Sisig with Garlic Rice and it was delicious! First of all the portion sizes were huge and I could only finish half of it. Also, I was a bit worried about the pig ear as it could be a bit flavorless and tough but it actually went extremely well in the dish for the extra bit. I also especially enjoyed the raw egg which when mixed in naturally cooked itself all over the pork. Definitely would come back again to try their other brunch or menu dishes!

Pig and Khao ... Clever Name and an Excellent Dining Experience. Perfect combo! Well worth the trip to the UWS from Brooklyn and certainly worthy of another trip in the near future. Food: 5/5 So delicious. A collision of authentic flavors and exceptionally executed dishes. We tried a good amount and honestly, I'd recommend it all. I'm looking forward to coming back. Perfect for a date night or friend's dinner. Service: 4.5/5 The wait is a bit long for peak hours but that's to be expected. Once you sit down, service is pretty good. They're attentive without being overbearing. Ambiance: 4/5 A perfect blend of chill, casual and eclectic. I loved the vibe.

    Mocktail - Beauregard

Cool, buzzing place with awesome service and wonderful food! Ray at the front was so welcoming and nice. We arrived early for our reservation on a Saturday and he sat us immediately at a table and was nice enough to charge my phone. We had been out all day sightseeing so this was super helpful. We had Jacquedda as our server - another very sweet and helpful person. She made recommendations that really helped us out and we enjoyed everything she suggested. The mocktail she recommended - the Beauregard - was one of the best I've had. As a non-drinker, it's nice to find n/a drinks that are special. We were a party of three and did the family meal. I will say, it was a ton of food, we boxed up what was remaining and gave it to someone at the subway since as out-of-towners, we knew we wouldn't be able to eat it later. So the amount you get is well worth the $ but for the 3-4 portion, better to have 4 people so as to not waste, or just be sure you can take it home or give it to someone. The shrimp, the coconut rice, the crab fried rice and the khao soi (curry noodle dish) were our faves. All of them bursting with various flavors. The whole fish was tasty, had crispy skin, but I'm not one for picking out small bones. The chicken wings were huge - I wish they were Wingdings so we could have more skin and less meat, but some, or maybe most, might appreciate the meatier wing size. This place was great. I highly recommend trying it as a casual, fun place to dine. The music was also a vibe.

Loved our dining experience here. The staff were friendly and eager to help with choosing menu options, for first timers. Although the khao soi was good, i prefer spaghetti type, thicker al dente noodles and red raw onions with fresh cilantro ontop in mine. The coconut broth was a little too thick rendang gravy like. Definitely get the penang curry short rib and pay the +$5pp, so worth it. Absolutely delicious. The sinigang fried shrimp was ok for me, it was a tad too salty and vinegary for me to continue eating. The papas con rajas tacos were delicious with the turmeric potatoes with curry leaves. They have bottomless rice option, and i definitely appreciated that! The ambience was vibrant and buzzing. Will be back!

I was such a fan of this place - service is phenomenal, somehow it's not too crowded where you're waiting for a table / need a res but it's still lively, and the food slapped. You can get the $50 family meal (which seems to be a great deal) but we opted to order a la carte. - Chili pan mee: this is a dry noodle and since it said ramen noodle, I was expecting the cheap instant ramen but instead these noodles were much better quality and tasty. This reminded me flavor-wise of many southeast asian / Singaporean noodles and I loved the little fried anchovies. Alternatively, my boyfriend described it as similar to a pasta ragu sauce. - Sizzling sisig: make sure to squeeze all of the lime! this does have pig ear with some cartilage in case you're not into that. However, I would totally recommend. None of the flavors are too strong, meat is well seasoned, and it comes out hot with a raw egg. - The coconut rice: so good that my boyfriend and I wanted more. It comes with the meat plate. I would get this over jasmine.

The food here is so flavorful and heavenly, I highly recommend! I came here with my sister and we ordered a moo ping plate, sizzling sisig with rice, crab fried rice, and Brussels sprouts. Every one of these dishes were at least a 5/5 and in the case of the moo ping plate, truly deserved at least a 7 out of 5. The sisig was slightly on the saltier side so the rice was very needed, but otherwise there were no complaints from me. My favorite was the moo ping tacos which were perfectly balanced between the crispy and savory meat and the sweet pineapples. I'm not even a fan of pineapples but it worked well here. The same goes for the brussle sprouts here--these were the first ones I've ever enjoyed. The service was great and because we sat at the bar, we had the pleasure of watching the chefs cook. I'd love to come back and try more of their dishes.

I bookmarked Pig and Khao on Yelp about a year or so ago because I saw it on GMA I think. I mean, what a clever name! And also, I love noodles, and rarely get a chance to enjoy Filipino food. Now that I finally made it there, im mad it took me so long! Def on my faves list. The vibe is funky: colorful and culture infused decor, old school hip hop in the background, multiracial/ethnic and fun and friendly staff, fast paced but not chaotic energy. We were flattered when our server (one of the twins!) told us that we matched their vibe. I guess our excitement and enthusiasm about the whole experience was clearly evident. We truly felt special from the service we received from the staff. And the food? Oh come on! Bring me more! Don't stop! Every morsel was delectable. I HIGHLY recommend the family meal. For two people we got two small plates, a noodle dish, a choice of jasmine or coconut rice, and a meat/fish entree plus a choice of Ube soft serve or piggy back shots. Great value, plus variety for the greedier palates like ours. Servings are ample, so we boxed up half our meal for home. Can't WAIT to return (and after 8pm since we're told the vibe amps up a notch or two then). Thanks Pig and Khao friends for treating us so swell!

The original LES location closed, but this one still hits. Great for a casual dinner with friends or a date. Go family-style--trust me, you'll want to try a few things. And the sizzling sisig? Non-negotiable. Best thing on the menu.

    Smoked Fish Toast

We came here on a Saturday around 11am. It was already started to get busy but they were able to seat us at a shared high top space. Workers were all enthusiastic and nice. The three of us did the family brunch meal and it was so fun!! I was hungry and this included a lot of food. The inside was a little loud but nice atmosphere with open windows. We started off with the smoked fish toast and Patis calamansi wings. Both were good appetizers. The wings were huge but the skin was crispy and had good flavor. We then moved on to the Khao soi and chili pan mee. Both of these dishes had great flavor. The khao soi curry was great and delicious. The garlic rice was also so yummy and unlimited. We then ended with the ricotta calamansi pancakes. The ricotta and pistachios works so well together. So fluffy and a perfect end to the meal. We also each got to choose a coffee or a mimosa with fun flavor options. For $38 per person this was a great amount of food and definitely worth it! A really fun meal!

Ube soft serve was a nice ending!

I was heading to a nearby concert and wanted an early dinner. Was able to secure a table on a Thursday at 5, without a reservation. I was greeted by a pleasant gentleman, and was brought to a comfortable table. I knew that I wanted to order the sisig and Brussels sprouts. They mentioned they had happy hour specials, so I added the smoked fish dip. The waiter was awesome throughout the meal, helpful with recommendations and brought everything out in a timely manner. Brussels sprouts came out first and I kept wanting to save some for with the sisig. Problem was, they have a hit of seasoning that kept me going back for more. Could have done two orders. The smoked fish dip was smooth and flavorful. The star of the show for me was the sisig, absolutely sizzling platter of porky goodness with a fried egg! Hard to top! As a nice bonus, they sent out a complimentary soft serve of ube. Great ending to a wonderful meal!

This review is long overdue. I've been eating at Pig and Khao for the past 7 years, going back to the original LES location, and I can honestly say I've loved just about every dish they've put out. Some of my early favorites still live rent-free in my mind: the choo chee fish, the Brussels sprouts, the Hainanese duck, the pork belly, and the coconut rice. Each dish is packed with flavor, bold, comforting, and consistently memorable. Pig and Khao has also been more than just a restaurant for me--it's been a place where I've celebrated so many of life's moments over the years. Birthdays, gatherings, casual dinners with friends... it's one of those spots that always delivers and always feels special. Seven years in and it's still a favorite. The drunken noodles are not spicy in my opinion but i can handle a bit of heat. The restaurant is medium sized, lots of booths, and was decorated for Valentine's Day. They take reservations and were pretty busy. Service was good, although a little slow at the beginning. Garlic Chili Noodles (3.5/5): Pretty good noodles, not very spicy but good flavor and consistency. Hakka Chili Chicken (4/5): I liked this chicken, but my dining partner did not. The chicken was boneless dark meat, which I really like. You can get it with no, light, or full gravy. We did full and had it with rice. I did enjoy this dish. Overall, I had a pretty good experience at HAKA. No dishes were real standouts, but they were all decent. It is not a bad option for Indo-Chinese in the area.

We ordered the noodles regular so they should have had some sauce but there was none. The chicken dishes were both really good. The chicken wasn't overly fried or breaded. Located within the historic Chelsea Market building--a former Nabisco factory where Oreo cookies were first produced--the restaurant feels theatrical in the best possible way. The soaring ceilings, dramatic lighting, and energetic atmosphere create a sense of occasion from the moment you walk in. It feels less like simply going out to dinner and more like stepping into a beautifully staged production. I started with a Botanist Gin Martini with a twist, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The surprise star of the evening was the new Cucumber Tiger Salad. The balance of flavors was exceptional: bright acidity, a pleasant touch of heat, and just enough mint to make each bite feel fresh and exciting. Every so often the mint would come through and suddenly all the flavors would click together in a way that made me immediately want another bite. This is a dish I would happily order again. Next came the Edamame Dumplings. They were delicate and comforting, especially when enjoyed with the accompanying broth. The broth adds depth and richness that elevates the entire dish. My only suggestion would be the slightest touch more salt, perhaps even a finishing sprinkle of black volcanic salt for both flavor and presentation. I also found myself wishing there were a bit more of that delicious broth because it contributes so much to the overall experience. For my entrée, I ordered the Glazed Alaskan Black Cod, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fish was rich, buttery, and perfectly prepared. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the accompaniments were composed. The pickled cucumbers brought brightness, acidity, and crunch, while the black bean and eggplant relish delivered deep savory notes and unexpected complexity. I'm generally not an eggplant fan, but this relish was outstanding. The cucumbers and relish sit at opposite ends of the flavor spectrum, yet both somehow make the cod even better. Looking back, I think a glass of Sauvignon Blanc alongside the cod would have been the perfect pairing. I finished with the Miso Caramel Milk Bar, which was spectacular. Decadent, sweet, salty, and touched with just enough umami to keep every bite interesting. The chocolate crumble underneath added a wonderful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the creamy ice cream and luscious caramel sauce. Every component worked together perfectly, creating a dessert that was both indulgent and sophisticated. From start to finish, the meal felt polished, thoughtful, and memorable. Thank you!

Service (5/5): We were able to get someone's attention to order and we were refilled on water often. The food was organized by appetizers and entrees that arrive all at the same time. The wait between ordering and food felt reasonable to short. The waiter also specified that certain dishes quantity (i.e. potstickers) could be increased to accommodate our party size for an extra cost. Food (5/5): TLDR; every dish was honestly SO good; I was surprised and will rank the items by 'must get' to skippable: Short Rib Bao Bun (3 pc): The short rib was so tender and flavorful. The bao bun was soft. The sauce was thick and worked well with the short rib. Pork Potstickers (5 pc): I preferred this over the lobster and scallion dumplings. The exterior skin is pan-fried with a nice glaze, hint of truffle. The bite was umami from the creaminess of the Parmigiano Reggiano. Chicken Satay (3 pc): The 3 pieces of chicken were relatively large, very tender, seasoned well. They were well complemented with the peanut sauce that is worth keeping to dip into other things! Don't sleep on the side of spicy cucumber salad, which was so well balanced in tartness and flavor. Pad Thai: This is one of the best Pad Thai I've ever had! The flavors are bursting, with a balance of sweetness, nuttiness from the peanuts, and tartness from a squeeze of lime. Peking Duck for 2: This dish is definitely more than enough for our party of 6 and appeared to be a half serving of the whole duck. The duck pieces are pre-cut for us to self-assemble into the wraps (not the usual bao bun but like thin tortilla wraps). I think I counted 8 wraps? Triple Pork Fried Rice: The rice has a lot of depth and generous chunks of pork. The rice is thicker than regular jasmine with a more chew which I liked. Dragon Tail Spare Ribs: Although this has a nice flavor, handling with your fingers makes them super sticky for your whole dining experience. The restaurant should give out wet towelettes if this dish is ordered!! Meat was tender and easy to chomp off the bone. Tuna Tartare: A small quarter-sized tartare dollop is served atop a small cube bread. The fish was fresh, presentation was beautiful. Was hoping for more tartare for the price point but it was very good. Overall, the dish was not filling so would skip if the party is hungry. Lobster and Scallop Dumplings: Great flavor with reasonable chunks of meat inside. Just preferred the potstickers a lot more! Bok Choy: Pieces were chopped in half and cooked with a nice crunch. Topped with something that gave it more texture. The garlicy taste was forward (in a good way). Rainbow Roll: While it was fresh and the individual pieces were large in portion, this felt like any other sushi roll. Skip this! Side of White Rice is $9?! That's theft and is skippable The amount of food ordered was probably a little more than what we needed but glad we ordered as many as we did.

One thing that did make me feel uncomfortable was the hallway near the downstairs bathroom where a picture of a Buddhist monk in saffron robes was displayed. Personally, I felt it was not the most respectful placement. Overall, I still enjoyed the experience and would love to come back again to see the beautiful giant Buddha.

Penang had always been a great go to (for over 20 years) place with flavorful Malaysian food. Sad…read moreto say, since sold the food has been severely lacking in flavor and consistency. While the Roti Canei used to have full flavors of coconut milk, lemongrass and generous spices, the dish is now bland and boring, so much so that we did not finish it The satay tofu sauce was completely devoid of flavor and a weird thick gloopy texture. If this was the first time that happened, I would not be writing this, however this is the 2nd time and the lack of flavor was also an issue

We ordered a lot of dishes including a whole fish.. all the classic Malaysian dishes and everything was fresh and definitely tastes like home. Wasn't too big a fan of their assam laksa (lacked a bit of flavour) but everything else was good. Staff were also really accommodating for all the kids and gave us the room in the back so we had a semi private area away from the other patrons. Usually come here during Chinese New Year for their Yee Sang but I think you just have to call to confirm they have it every year. It's a great place to get together with friends and family !

Once you sit down you scan a QR Code to order your food and drinks. I was pretty hungry that day so we ended up ordering a ton of food. The drinks were pretty good and they were served in Le Creuset mugs. Not the biggest deal, but I can appreciate some nice drinkware. The bowl of Kimchi Fried rice came out first. It was a generous portion and the rice was cooked well, but I feel like it could've used some more kimchi. The eggs on top were cooked perfectly and added good texture to the dish. The next dish to come out was the HK French toast. The bread was nice and fluffy which paired well with a nice generous drizzle of condensed milk. I enjoyed this a lot. We also ordered scallion pancake, pork barbecue, and bossam baos. These were ok, I would probably pass on a return visit. I felt like the meat in the baos was a little tough though they did have decent flavor. The last entree was the smoked salmon and avocado croissant; I really enjoyed this. It had a generous helping of smoked salmon and avocado as well. The saltiness of the salmon paired well with the creamy and fatty avocado. The croissant was also nice and flaky. It was also served with a house salad which had a nice drizzle of dressing on it too. For dessert we ordered a Black Sesame Souffle Pancake. This was SO good. A few months ago I visited a place in Princeton that specialized in these Japanese-style pancakes and Tasty Junction's version was so much more enjoyable. I loved that it was served with a healthy scoop of ice cream. The pancake was airy and had a bounce to it. Each bite was so good and made even better with the ice cream. I'd definitely come back just for the pancakes. All in all Tasty Junction is a great spot tucked away in Glen Rock

One thing I really liked is how customizable the menu is. You can choose different creams and ice cream flavors on top - they have a great variety, including strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, taro, ube, and more. The service was great. Everyone was very kind and welcoming, and they let us know that the Japanese soufflé pancakes take about 15 minutes to prepare, which I was completely fine with since they're made fresh. The ambiance is chill and quiet. The café is tucked away on the side of the street - I actually missed it the first time and had to circle back. We were lucky to find street parking right in front, though there aren't many spots available. As for the pancakes themselves, I thought they were just okay. They're made with four eggs, and you can definitely taste them. That said, my daughter absolutely loved them, so it may just come down to personal preference.

I took my cousin out for her birthday back in April and I we were not disappointed. I hadn't even finished my meal and I already said I was coming back. We had the salt and pepper shrimp, black prawns, shrimp fried rice, and bok choy to share. the portions of rice are hefty enough to share, but if you a big dawg help yourself to the full serving. We had the Vanilla Creme Brulee for dessert which we shared and it was just the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. Nothing was overpowered. Like I said, i will be back at some point. The food was fresh and good quality. They get two thumbs up from me!! If you love Asian cuisine, you will not be disappointed! Next time your friends ask if you want to go eat somewhere, Sei Less!

I loved the decor, lighting, furniture, and music. It's very spacious, and I really liked that they have separate areas for dining, large groups, and if you want do hookah. Our server was great and tried to accommodate as best as he could. We were very disappointed with the food. I was bummed they were out of the oxtail eggrolls. The items we ordered lacked flavor and just didn't hit. We ordered the chicken satay, the peanut sauce was a bit too thick and in our opinion didn't compliment the chicken and the chicken tasted pretty greasy. I ordered the shrimp dumplings and really enjoyed those. I also ordered the sea bass. It was a bit bland and the rice that was served on the side was hard. My cousin enjoyed the spice kung pao chicken. For drinks, we ordered the sidecar and lychee martini. I thought my drink was pretty good. If I'm ever in the area again, I think I would try it again just to see if I didn't choose the right options.
