Came in for a pre mothers day dinner with the fam. The staff was so accommodating. They were completely booked and offered to allow us dine at their waiting area space which offered comfy couches and table. We gratefully accepted the offer. To start I ordered the raspberry frozen margarita and my daughter ordered a mojito-mocktail. The establishment offers small bite/ tapas style dishes. We ordered way too many dishes; cucumber salad, poke bowl, stick ribs, dumplings, octopus, truffle mac n cheese, and tuna with crispy rice squares. All of the dishes had incredible flavor; my faves were the sticky ribs and poke bowl.
Everything about Koré is phenomenal. The food is delicious, the vibes are spot on, and the service goes above and beyond. If you're looking for a meal to remember, this is the spot. I highly recommend making a reservation! While they do take walk-ins, this spot can get busy even on weekdays. If you can't find a time that you like on OpenTable, set a notification for the time you want! I did that and ended up getting lucky with a cancellation the day before. It's pretty easy to find street parking nearby, and there is an attached free lot as well, though it does fill up quickly. I met up with two friends for our Saturday evening reservation, and we were seated right away.
WOW YALL, I can't believe I slept on Kore so long! My wife & I met up with our besties & fellow Yelpies Amanda M & TJ M for an 8:15 Sunday dinner & were served by the incredibly friendly & enthusiastic Kensington. She took a good 5 mins to welcome us as newbies & go over all the highlights. We each started off with a cocktail from their extensive drink menu. I had the Beluga which was a deliciously sweet gin based drink heavy with lychee. I don't remember what everybody else had but we all tasted each others drinks & they were all solid. Between the four of us we probably sampled half the food menu but if I had to pick just two faves I'd go with the Salmon Don & the kimchi bacon risotto though it's REALLY hard to narrow it because everything here was exceptional. Every time something new was placed on the table & eaten somebody said "this is so good" I'd go so far as to say that Kore deserves all the praise that Noko up the street receives. The atmosphere is more fun & laid back, the food is just as good with some of the same creativity & inspiration, the drinks are better & the service is exceptional. I will be back & will bring more people to try Kore because they are doing everything right. Get down there & eat yall!
I about to become a regular here. The food is so flavorful. I loved the crispy tuna, and the k pop chicken. I can't wait to go back so I can try everything on the menu. Everything is shareable so they recommend 2-4 plates person. We for about 5 dishes for 2 ppl and it was plenty. They are a craft cocktail bar and everything was amazing. Service was fantastic. Shout out to our server, Kensington, she has great energy and gave us awesome recommendations. This is a great place to meet friends or have a fun date night. There is bar seating, couches and tables. The vibes are great to chilling and hanging out. They also have a private parking lot so that takes the stress out of parking. But the spots are sort of small so I can see it filling up fast. Can't wait to go back.
Korean food in Nashville??? As you can imagine, I did not have high expectations coming from NY. Especially when we walked in and saw no Asian customers in a pub-style atmosphere, which would be a big red flag in NY but not so much down here. As it turned out, there was no reason for concern. Kensington was our waitress and she was amazingly informative and super friendly! We learned that the chef and co-owner was born in Korea and the menu, while not traditionally Korean, is Korean enough. Highlights were the Kalbi steak, MU cucumbers, k pop chicken, plantains, crispy tuna and dessert. But the rest were also so good. One of the best meals we had in Nashville!!
Came here with some work colleagues and was pleased to say the least. We definitely spent a pretty penny, but was well worth it. Be prepared to do the same especially if you want to indulge in multiple dishes (and even accommodating for a party greater than 2-3 folks.) We didn't have to wait because we had a reservation in place the day prior. We had the time at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. No problems there. Our server was also very friendly and attentive (his name is Travis). He made sure to give us our time/privacy to chat but also showed face to fill our cups, clear our dirty dishes, and make sure we were cared for. Most importantly, the food/drinks. Although portion wise they are on the smaller side, you are paying for the quality over quantity. We ordered: Mi Cucumbers, K-Pop Chicken, Sticky Rib, Duck Tacos, Truffle Mac and Cheese, Gnocchi, and a few cocktails on top. I had the "Kore-Anita" and was happy with it. Definitely would get again if I weren't trying anything else. Lastly, seating inside was fair. Not too large but also didnt feel too small. Again, my party was a size of 4 and I already thought that was "larger" than the average parties I saw in there at the time. Definitely a place for a date. Would recommend. My personal rating: 4.6/5
I came here with work colleagues on a business trip. We were able to make a reservation for a Saturday evening, and boy, did we need one. It was hoppin' in there! We went on a rainy evening at around 6pm and it was busy. While we were waiting for our seats, we saw so many delicious plates of food and unique drinks. We knew it was going to be hard to choose! Thankfully, the two ladies I went with had been before, so they were able to help me in choosing. We decided to get a few plates for the table and share. This is definitely an elevated tapas/dim sum/small plates spot. We went with the truffle mac & cheese, mi cucumber,k-pop chicken, sticky rib, crispy tuna + rice, and the scallops. Between the three of us, this was sufficient in terms of food. The plates vary in terms of quantity/size. For example, the k-pop chicken had a decent amount but for the scallops there were only three with the order. For drinks I tried the Blackberry Rye and the Hibiscus Bubbles. I love when rye whiskey and fruit are mixed, it is absolutely delicious. And then the bubbles drink was just fun. It tasted good and also had these cool bubbles on top. Very fun and funky. We enjoyed our meal but in true busy spot fashion, we had to vacate at around the 1.5 hour mark because they had another reservation coming in. While I ubered, there seems to be parking close by. All in all, this was a really fun (and expensive) experience. Definitely worth it in my opinion. I am trying to figure out how to get back to Nashville just so I can go here again.
I was in town for work for the week and this was our last celebratory dinner with just one of my colleagues and I and I wish I had found this place. We had too many meetings. Anyways we came in knowing bar seating was our only option after calling and found only one seat available. Staff were so kind that they pulled up a second barstool and had some people scooted down which everybody was happy to do. Gotta love how polite it is in the south. Jen the bartender was phenomenal. We started with some cocktails a lychee martini and I forget what my friend ordered. Loved these. Then we asked Jen what she liked. She gave us all the customer favorites and added hers into the mix. I think we based our whole dinner on her recs and if you're reading this yall should do the same. This is tapas style to expect to order a few things. We got the broccolini (5/5), salmon don bowl (4.5/5) only bc the rice filled me up and I needed room for more delicious things, kimchi bacon risotto 6/5 tbh the best thing we had IMO, sticky ribs (5/5) and we capped it with the caramel dessert. Start to finish this was an awesome meal with great staff and incredible food. The inside is so cute you can tell it is well loved in the neighborhood.
Supremely great food! I went simply for a drink and dessert and was convinced in the first bite and sip that I would be coming back in the near future on my next trip. I had a freshly squeeze watermelon margarita and a cheesecake packed full of love! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and made me feel right at home. (Thank you London, Travis, & Sabrina!) And observing all of the dishes that went by me, I knew I was in foodie heaven! Don't miss a chance to come here! Your pallet will thank you!
Love Kore for some good quality Asian fusion food in east Nashville! They have a pretty good happy hour deal (bar only). Beer was $5, wine $7, and cocktails were $8. I love the capri moons they had, which were essentially adult capri suns and they actually come in a capri sun bag. I also tried the lychee martini, which is a little less sweet than the lychee capri moon. In the happy hour, they also had food specials which ranged from $3-$10. The spicy tuna crispy rice is a must get if you like raw tuna. It was so fresh and paired well with the crispy rice. The K-pop chicken was really delicious, good flavors, and perfectly fried. The cucumbers were refreshing. The sauce was really good and I think it had sesame oil, but whatever that was, wow, get me a glass of that sauce.
We've made Korè Nashville our regular Wednesday night date spot, and it never disappoints. If you go, sit at the bar and take advantage of the happy hour--that's the move. The pricing is basically cut in half, and it lets you try a bunch of different things without breaking the bank. We usually order one of everything on the happy hour menu for each of us, plus extras. The tuna tartare is our favorite by far--we always get three to share. The crispy rice with it is unreal. I like to dip the crispy rice in the cucumber salad dressing and then stack it with the tuna... next level. The gem salad, cucumber salad, and K-pop chicken are all outstanding too. We usually just get one K-pop chicken to share since it's rich, but it's seriously good. The vibe is trendy and busy, especially at peak times, so get there early. It can get a little loud, but that's part of the energy. One heads up: if you're not sitting at the bar, you won't get the happy hour specials--and that's where the real value is. Great food, great atmosphere, and one of the best midweek date night spots we've found.
I hope you are not a vegetarian if it's your first time to Kore. The Sticky Ribs are, without a doubt, the best I've ever had--crispy braised pork ribs glazed with a hoisin chili sauce. Unreal. Other standouts: Kalbi Dumpling - super tasty filling Kimchi Bacon Risotto- so much flavor Crispy Tuna- my favorite! poke like spicy tuna on top crispy rice Skip: Kalbi Steak- good flavor but too chewy The service here is top-notch--attentive and friendly without feeling overbearing. The staff made great recommendations and truly elevated the experience. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance: modern, stylish, and cozy, making it an ideal spot for a date night or dinner with friends. Kore has it all--delicious food, warm service, and an inviting atmosphere. Can't wait to go back! read more

The best meal and most gracious staff. We were having a " light " dinner before a rainy/ chilly Bruno Mars concert at Nissan! Our food was spot on, flavorful without being heavy. Our waitress brought everything out inn" layers" timing dishes ar just the right spacing. manager London treated me like a queen!! Thank you Kore! Kore is a unique spot filled with various fusion foods! Contrary to how this spot was initially displayed on social media as simply Korean food, it has a lot of fun flavors & cuisines to offer. The interior of the restaurant is filled with a variety of styles but feels quaint and interesting. The food was delicious, with some dishes being more exciting than others! We loved the mole and the cauliflower but felt a little underwhelmed by the dumplings. Our service was good although I wish the dishes were portioned out rather than coming all at once. read more

I love somewhere I can go with friends and get a bunch of small plates to share and try a bunch of different things and Kore is so delicious and the perfect place for that! I decided to celebrate my birthday here and the manager came up to check on things and comped a birthday dessert! So sweet! I loved that they had several non alcoholic drink options. The Yu Gene was so tasty! Our favorite dish was the crispy tuna. The rice cakes were so unique and the tuna was so yummy! I can't wait to go back next time I'm in Nashville there's so many other dishes I want to try! read more
Grabbed some k pop chicken for a snack and it was the right move. These little nuggets are a little sweet, have a hint of spice and a maple or molasses flavor going on. They're not your traditional Korean fried chicken in terms of flavor but they're so good and so crispy. I want more after typing this! read more

Overall, a great use of the space that Eastland Café used to be in. Enjoy the moody vibe. As far as the food, we were not blown away. We ordered the crispy rice with tuna, the K-pop chicken and the truffle mac & cheese. The crispy rice with tuna definitely needs a glaze or some kind of sauce. We found that the perfect ratio of fish to rice was from cutting the rice patty in half. The sauce for the K-pop chicken was a bit too sweet, definitely need something acidic or spicy in the sauce and the chicken was chewy/ dry for a lot of the pieces. The truffle mac & cheese was very cheesy and very trufflely. Like too much truffle. The flavor definitely lingered and dominated every other dish that we were sharing. The server who took our order was very nice, the young man that was trying to take our plates was a tad pushy, kept asking about plates and glasses that we were not finished with. read more

My wife and I went last night for her birthday last night and really enjoyed it. Our waiter was very helpful in guiding us through the experience. The drinks stood out as an excellent start to the evening. Our favorite dish was the dumplings. Overall the food was top tier and the vibes were impeccable. read more

Whewww--Koré Nashville did not come to play with their happy hour! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was right--chic, cozy, and just enough buzz to feel like the spot without being overcrowded. The drink specials? On point. I had a cocktail that was both strong and smooth (shoutout to the bartender who clearly knows what they're doing). And the bites? Baby, that happy hour menu is not playing fair! Everything was seasoned, fresh, and served up with style. The Korean-inspired flavors hit just right. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. It felt like the kind of place you could post up with your girls or slide through with a date and feel like you're doing something special without blowing your whole check. First time at Kore, it was dark inside which was perfect for a little date night. We got the octopus, kimchi risotto. We liked all the dishes, but my favorite was the truffle mac.n.cheese, k.pop chicken and beef tartare. I got a lychee martini and an adult capri sun. I wish it was stronger, but it was good. The staff was great and the owner was really friendly, he went around and spoke to everyone. We'll definitely be back. read more

Koré might be the best new addition to Nashville. Why? It checks all the boxes other restaurants seem to have forgotten when looking to become a mainstay... friendly service, affordable and delicious eats, and free parking. This Japanese tapas restaurant now occupies the previous samurai sushi location on Chapel in East and what an upgrade! When you walk in immediately you're greeted with the most wonderful customer service. Not just by the hostess, but the entire staff goes above and beyond to make your time in their establishment a wonderful experience. You can tell this is a team effort and everyone wants it to succeed. I mean, my friend and I were even asked if the air conditioning was ok for us!! The food and the prices themselves are nothing like you'll find in Nashville with this level of quality. Their happy hour has actual happy hour prices with cocktails and wine ranging from $6-$11. I had an old fashioned for $8 and it was fantastic. Since this is a taps restaurant you're meant to order a few dishes to share so my friend and I ordered about 5 dishes and 2 drinks each and left fully satisfied. What really stood out were the sticky ribs and truffle mac and cheese. If you're looking for a new dinner spot with friends, family is in town, or even date night, Koré is the new go-to. Go. GO! Now. I will DEFINITELY be back. This hidden Gem in Nashville is phenomenal! Everything we ordered was amazing. The cocktails were beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend the tuna and hibiscus fire! But literally everything we ordered was 10/10. And the staff!!!!!!! Also so freaking amazing the vibe was total chill and we got the couch so we could sit and catch up. Top tier- must try! read more
A cute and quaint restaurant that's a great addition to East Nashville! It gets crowded so I highly recommend getting a reservation. We got a couple of different things and were pleasantly surprised with how reasonably priced everything was. We were recommended the k-pop chicken (multiple times) and it was decent but for the amount of food you get I'd say it was definitely worth it. The plantains were our favorite! read more
Kore is not bad! I think the flavors of every dish don't necessarily blend together, but overall decent. Good priced tapas! I wasn't a fan of the tartare - i didn't like that it was larger meat chunks instead of your traditional tartare. Service was really friendly and quick overall. Ambiance is interesting- it's an old bar. They didn't make many changes to it so to me the ambiance doesn't really match the cuisine but to each their own. read more

My husband and I went here on a Sunday for a date night and were not disappointed. The inside was so cozy and cute, even though it was about 15 degrees outside. They had many vegetarian friendly options and I enjoyed the mi cucumbers (so good!!!) and the wok-friend cauliflower while my husband, who is a meat eater, had the k-pop chicken and the salmon don. The meat portions were much larger than traditional tapas and we left very full and with leftovers. The sake list is extensive, though we both ordered craft cocktails. We will be back! read more

One of THE best restaurants to hit Nashville. And honestly my favorite. Tapas has a special place in my heart and Kore didn't disappoint. The service was out of this world and the servers and host were so kind! The food was phenomenal, literally, the best. I was preparing to feel underwhelmed but everything was so flavorful and portion so seemed quite fair. Split 6 tapas with me and a friend and it was more than enough, left stuffed and with leftovers. Plantains were my favorite dish followed closely by the octopus. Plantains had a great spice level and just enough creamiest from the goat cheese. Octopus was beautifully braised and the pickled grapes added the right brightness and acidity. The other dishes were amazing too but those were my top hits. The adult Capri sun/soju was amazing and you can take them to go! Can be romantic but also great for groups, extremely clean and warm. I can't wait to go back. read more
Came here on a rainy Saturday night and enjoyed a phenomenal meal. The service was great - very attentive. Ambiance has some Asian cues but I wouldn't call it anything spectacular. The food on the other hand was amazing! In particular, the K-Pop chicken and truffle mac and cheese were some of the best food items I've had in the last few years. Such a fun date night spot! Great for any kind of socializing! We tried most of the menu honestly and weren't disappointed. It's mostly small plates for sharing. The dumplings, steak bites (not sure what they're actually called) ,and the crispy rice with tuna were our favorites! We also loved the cheesecake! Super fun and hip vibe and great service! The chef came out after and introduced himself and he was awesome! read more

Ambiance is very laid back w/ an elegant vibe good date night spot We got: Cucumber Beef Steak Kpop chicken Salmon don 10/10 if you like authentic raw salmon dishes Fortune udon Gnocchi Have zero complaints about any of the ordered items. Honorable mention: the owner was SOOO SWEET. He saw me fanning myself (it was a hot day in general) and brought an electric fan for me and some ice for my water. Kore was an accidental find that ended up being a hit. The restaurant is whimsical and interesting, there's so much cool stuff on the wall. I sat at the bar with my friend and we just ordered dish after dish. The cucumbers, the rich Mac and cheese, the kpop chicken and good. God that kimchi risotto will live rent free in my dreams. The bartender who served us was amazing! She recommended this based on flavor profiles. She knew the menu inside and out. If your looking for something different, tasty, and fun this is your place. read more

Very interesting and unique combinations. Spicy tuna crispy rice was my favorite however I still prefer NOKO! I loved the texture on the rice tho. I had high expectations for this place, and I think it is a little bit overhyped. Cucumbers were a little bland to me, and I wasn't a big fan of the sauce that was in the scallops. It's not a bad place, just expected more! Overall I would give it a try again to try other things. read more

I want More of Kore! My husband and I went on a date here and it did not disappoint! Cool vibe, not too big, excellent service, amazing craft cocktails and the food was fabulous. We LOVED the truffle Mac and cheese, but the hamachi crudo and Krispy tuna were also amazing. If I was forced to pick out one thing I think the place could improve on it might be that the chicken was mostly breading ... but still really good. We would totally go back. This was easily the best meal I've had in Nashville in years. We couldn't find something to gripe about if we tried. Every bite of food we had was genuinely outstanding. Ribs were melt in your mouth tender and delightfully crisp. The generous serving of chicken was crunchy and flavor. The texture of the crispy rice was top notch. Our drinks were both tasty and showcased fresh ingredients. Service was quick and our meal well paced. We can't wait to make another trip to Koré! Run don't walk! read more
