I had high expectations for this place, and I think it is a little bit overhyped. Cucumbers were a little bland to me, and I wasn't a big fan of the sauce that was in the scallops. I want More of Kore! My husband and I went on a date here and it did not disappoint! Cool vibe, not too big, excellent service, amazing craft cocktails and the food was fabulous. We LOVED the truffle Mac and cheese, but the hamachi crudo and Krispy tuna were also amazing. This was easily the best meal I've had in Nashville in years. We couldn't find something to gripe about if we tried. Every bite of food we had was genuinely outstanding. When I moved here from California, I knew the one thing I was going to miss was great Asian food, especially Korean food. I live a good 55 minutes from Nashville, but I would take that trek anytime to come eat at Kore. The tapas here are incredible. Every bite was so delicious. The service was great too. They were able to get my group in last minute, although we did have to sit outside and it was a bit windy. They were kind and put on a heater for us. The kitchen did forget our truffle Mac and cheese after asking multiple times, and ended up taking it off the bill, but honestly the other spread of food completely filled us up! The food is brilliant, creative and made with love. There's a fair amount of places to choose, especially in East (think Hawkers, Noko, Two Ten, Xiao Bao) but my shining star goes to Korè. What sets them apart is not only their stellar food but their service. Chef Yun and Chef Nick go out of their way to say hi when you're dining and to ensure you're having a good time. They are so friendly, humble, wonderful and kind. Avery, our server, is amazing! Attentive, kind, down to earth, personable and has great recommendations. Been to too many places in East where the servers are less than interested to be there and that is not the case here. The ambiance is casual yet elevated (def date night vibes or a fancy place with your girls!) serving Asian inspired tapas plates. They recommend 2-3 per person, but my husband and I love trying different dishes, so we'll get more to share. My personal recs: 1. Mi cucumber 2. Truffle Mac and cheese (mind blown!) 3. Our server was very knowledgeable on the menu and happy to walk us through it when we arrived since neither of us had been there before. The inside was very cozy but we sat outside to get sat quickly which ended up cutting our visit short because of rain that came it but we got our last dish to go and closed out. The star of the show in my opinion were the proteins. The stick ribs and k-pop chicken were fantastic but the cauliflower and cucumbers were also great. The starches are very good but the flavors seem a little more muted after having the proteins with the exception of the truffle coming through very strongly in the nose for the mac and cheese. read more

Everything was 20 out of 10. We were 30 min late to the reservation but they accommodated us in outstanding fashion. We were seated at the couches by the bar. Originally we were on the fence but come to realize that's one of the best spots in the house. All the other tables are fairly close together and smaller in size however at the couches, a good 20x20 foot area of your space. Our waitress was outstanding. We had a 3 month old and she was the nicest ever. And the food and drinks were outstanding. We frequent noku quite often but this place supersedes it in everything. The manger was outstanding and gave us a little gift for the inconvenience of us not getting a table. We will most definitely be back soon read more

The restaurant is pretty new. They are still waiting on their beer license but had wine and liquor. I would give the food an 8/10 and the service a 6/10. The food overall was great but a few dishes I just did not love. It could just be personal taste. The chicken was great, I loved the dumplings, I don't normally like plantains but enjoyed these. The tuna and the beef tartar were not my cup of tea. The flavor was just a little off for me. I could have eaten an entire dish of the chicken myself but I tried to pace myself as my friends and I ordered a lot of dishes to try. The drink which I don't remember the name of was great, I got the mango but tried my friends lychee, the mango was good the lychee was great. Our server was very nice. I think they just don't have their systems together yet. There was confusion about who was serving which table. Some dishes they tried to bring to our table multiple times. We all got a second drink but the first drink glass was never removed from the table. The table next to us it took forever for someone to go and take their drink order then when the server figured out no one had been to their table yet, 3 different servers went to check on them back to back. The restaurant is pretty. The bench couch use a pillow as it was not the most comfortable.
