Our server Jay was impeccable and ensured that our dining experience was memorable from our drink selection, walking us through their extensive menu, and ensuring that we felt like the divas we are! We ordered several starters and our favorite was their calamari alongside their delicious Kansas City strip! If you have a gluten allergy/sensitivity, you don't have to feel like you're working with a restricted menu, which is pretty spectacular all in itself! Here's the topper for me... 3 weeks after returning from my Nashville weekend trip, I received a hand-written card from our server Jay with Halls, Chophouse! I'm 45 yo, been to almost every continent.. total of 36 countries and have yet to have this level of customer service! They still stood there talking to each other and refusing eye contact even though we were right in front of them so we drove off to self park. We ended up parking on the other side, accidentally ending up in a valet spot for the hotel but they were nice about it. We were dressed casually and sat in the bar-ish area, which was perfect for what we wanted. They had two tvs with the football game over the bar and live music in the corner. I liked the decor but between the music and the group of drunk men a table over, it was pretty loud. I felt like I had to almost yell for my husband to hear me across our table. Service was great! Our server was attentive without being smothering. My husband ordered the Halls Old Fashioned. It was ok. Not bad but nothing special for $22. We ordered the dry aged ribeye tomahawk to split with mashed potatoes on the side. Fresh bread was brought out with softened butter. The bread was fresh and warm. The crust was a little hard but the center was soft and delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked and had the most delicious crust. They pre split the steak for us which was amazing service. It was served on a brown sauce that was tasty. It also had a swipe of either green goddess or pesto butter on the plate that was top tier on the steak. 10/10 I want that butter. It needs to be on every steak from here on out! The mashed potatoes were really good. They were super smooth and creamy but had some chunks of potato for texture. I ate half of my steak and potatoes before I was full. Our wonderful server boxed up our leftovers. It was a really big steak! We paid and left. Overall it was a good night and we will return. Hopefully we'll get valet service next time. We had no phone service in the restaurant which was strange given the location.

No reservation? Don't worry, you may be able to grab a seat at the beautiful bar when you walk in. The atmosphere is fantastic. There's great music playing softly in the background, and as you look around, you realize you're dining inside a beautifully renovated old warehouse. Here's a little inside history: the building was once used to make handles for old hammers and axes. Look closely at some of the beams and you can actually see the hammer marks! Okay, enough history, let's talk drinks! I started with an Old Fashioned made with Sazerac Rye Bourbon. It was very good and served with clear ice, which is always a good sign. My only complaint? They used a red cherry instead of a Maraschino cherry. They definitely need to step up their Old Fashioned game! They also made a great Dirty Martini, or as I like to call it, a "Dirty & Skanky Martini." Now for the food! We started with the Spanish Octopus, which was absolutely delicious. The Bluefin Belly was very good, and the Corn-Milk Hush Puppies were SOOOO good! We also tried the Summer Squash, which was another great addition to the meal. For my entrees, I went with the Wild Striped Bass, WOW! Amazing flavor, and check out the Jonah Crab on top! I also tried the Grilled Swordfish with Brisket Marmalade, and that was another winner.
