I lived in Korea for long time and love Korean food. I was recommended by my old friend to come here so I made a takeout order since outdoor was cold. Price is expensive for small restaurant but the taste and quality is good. But this Korean restaurant is more cheaper than any other Korean restaurant around the area. my go to korea house or in park n shop, concord or oakland but ohgane is all you can eat, they make their food quick and fast, no good for authentic korean food. I like their meat but soup is no good. No where near authentic compare to here or korea house. I read reviews and fellow yelper mentioned about comparing ohgane and small restaurants like this place. I don't trust that review at all, yes i understand to each of their own but would you really compare all you can eat to this business or any other? That was funny comment. That person has no sense of taste in korean food. I live in korea and tried many food there and here. This place is not bad at all, very close to authentic Korean fusion. Now my reviews on food: Wife and I got 3 items. Jabchae, Monk fish stew, and spicy sautéed squid. Very good. They make their Jabchae really tasty, its not dry or hard compare to other restaurants. It's perfectly seasoned but little sweet for my wife. (Tip: if you don't like sweet, ask for less sugar). Monk fish was very refreshing, spicy kicked in perfectly. It was around$15 and if i go to korea house or Oakland is around $18-19!! super cheap for a monk stew. I recommend to take your soup and re-heat it for stews. More you heat it, the better. They also had pollack roe stew which is only 17 bucks. thats crazy. cuttle fish is too spicy for me, medium spicy is good. overall, very good. Thanks to my old friend, will be coming back. read more

I'm updating my review from 4 years ago, I stopped by today for the first time since pandemic hit. I missed eating inside especially Korean food. I'm glad that this place survived and is still open. Many of the employers have changed since last time but they were super nice and attentive! Service: They do require vax and ID. I'm happy that they are doing this. Especially for someone like me... who haven't gone out to eat for so long and stepping out of my comfort zone (to go order, eating at home). But the young girl who was working here was very attentive as well. Food: I'm Chinese and I love beef intestine. I believe it's one of the special order (#60 something). It's a big hot pot, already assembled and cook inside but you can still boil it on your table. The Gopchang Stew was super good. It's spicy yet, the flavor that gives into the intestine was just perfect. It has beef intestine, carrots, zucchini, tofu, and onions along with tripes. All the flavor was focused onto the intestine. The price was around $41-4(?) but good for 3 people. My husband and I loved it. There was still left over so I had to take it home. I would love to try their stir fry intestine, or their squid.. Next time! Tip: they give you free box per table but another boxes would be charged 25cents for extra to go boxes as things are going up. It make sense. 25 cent is no problem. First review must be for here. I LOVED the food here! I'm so shocked to find a Korean restaurant (hidden gem) in monument blvd. I never thought I would, it's so hidden away from the street. My go to was always the one in the park n shop but forget it! This one as it is! This is my second time coming back and its even better! I came to takeout an order of "L4 porkbelly", and the portions were just right for one person! the price range for the lunch is between $10-13+tax. Its a singular portion and it comes with varieties of little dishes(6 sides) in a bento style with side of white rice. Little bummed about the rice though, they only have white rice. I love purple rice but that's okay! For the amount of sides they give during dinner time which was at least more than 7 sides, I forgive. I came back few days after for dinner time. Still good price for the good amount of portions and the condiments! Dinner order: I've ordered Seafood pancake, LA short ribs, bibimbop, and spicy pork. Wait time was about 20min! All the dishes were recommended by one of the employee. She also told me that most of the entree, soups are 2 people portion, at first I thought she was kidding but no, she was not playing! My first review on yelp must be here! I made a to-go order via Grubhub and went to pick it up for 4 items. I forgot to take picture of one of the dish,which was bulgogi beef. My friends and I was craving korean food today so we decided to go to our usuals but instead stopped by Korean BBQ plus since we were by the area from costco shopping! Easy order from grubhub and went to pick it up after shopping from there, super simple. When I got in, the food was packed nicely and sealed with my name on it. It was so delicious even with to-gos! I really wanted the seafood tofu soup or kimchi stew with pork but to-go is never good with soups especially Korean or Pho so decided to get all BBQ. Friends and I got the short ribs, bibimbap, chicken, and bulgogi. That came with one tray of banchan that had 8-9 dishes, CRAZY! I usually go there to eat but since Covid-19, I been taking out. I saw that they opened outdoor seating, must come back for hot sizzling pot! Also, had conversation with one of the waitress and she said, they will be opening for indoor seating as well as outdoor starting October 1st, 2020! Sounds exciting. read more

It's a hidden gem literally hidden in the corner of small plaza... It's very authentic and similar to Korean food that I've tried in Korea. I miss Korea and those fun times before pandemic. I door dash their food back in early June and I finally made the stop to dine in. I forgot that our county requires vax cards to dine in. But thank goodness, I had mine on my phone. It's no problem to me that they are doing this, I personally feel more secure to eat indoors and the employees make sure to check before getting seated. Service was A++! They were super generous with the side dishes, I didn't think I would get so many banchons. But the bonchon itself is the best around town!!! It's fresh and each one of them has their own unique flavor. Especially the kale, never expected the kale to taste delicious. I got the dosot bimbap and oh man, the hot sauce on the side... the sizzling crispy rice A1. The small soup Korean miso soup (+5$) so good. Thanks will be back. I usually come here with my family to celebrate some occasion. But since covid started, I haven't been back. The food is really good and the portions are what keeps me coming back for more. I like doing family style in this restaurant, so you can get a little of everything. The food is savory and not salty. It's just right for my family and I. My favorite dish to order is the seafood tofu soup- it can be spicy (if you choose to) and it's so flavorful. As well as their most popular Galbi short ribs and Jabchae. Love love love. So yummy, doesn't taste like rubber at all. I will say this though, if you really want a bang for your buck, come during lunch time because they give you a "bento box" with your dish. I got the bulgogi and that came with 6 different sides and a rice. Very simple and great for one person. This is only if you order one item from lunch though. If you get multiple items from the lunch menu, they don't do lunch box style. They give you complete full sides that feeds about 2-3 people, its sharable and easy. read more

For a first-timer in this restaurant, I was surprised that this restaurant existed! My family and I are from Concord and living here for so long and never knew about this gem! I liked the service and the food was fantastic! I went in yesterday for outdoor dining with my wife and kids. I believe there was only one waitress. Which is understandable during Covid, it's better to keep one or two employees. She helped us throughout what to order, what are the popular dishes, any recommendation. She suggested the jyabche first, it was very delicious! Another dishes were the korean beef short ribs and hot stone vegetable with beef. I was surprised by how much portion they serve and especially the mini dishes! Usually, other korean restaurant only served half-of what they have and best kimchi in town! I don't know where to start, its was perfect The food is great & banchan is amazing. You get a lot banchan. Service is great. The two ladies are so nice & helpful. While i was talking to one of the lady, she told me that the ownership has changed and now owned by two sisters which is the two ladies. The management has also changed, the food changed as well. its so much better now. The people who has gave them the worse stars, probably came in wrong time.. They also told me that they sell kimbab (2rolls) & jab chae for $4.99 which is great deal. cheap for just 2 rolls!! & lots of jabchae. I came here recently, and was surprised to see it was next to a korean market i had a bad experience with about a month before. I hope they arent the same owners. I was greeted hastily and rushed to a one seated table as soon as i arrived, even though i was expecting a guest too, and had to correct the waiter. i was very hungy, so i order all you can eat A with my friends. We order a bunch of meat and side dishes. There are plenty of food.... we try to finish everything we ordered. It says to charge addtional for unfinishe food. Overall, we ike the place and service. Alothugh a few times, the waiter forgot a dish or order, it all come later. It was my first time coming here. I went with my brother and sisters and the waiter, and waitress were extremely nice. Since it was our first time here and we weren't sure what to order the waiter gave us free samples (which was the exact size as the real dish), and also endless appetizers!
