Tried the matcha latte it wasn't good at all. The service is very slow, as well. Even with so many people working there.

I took my mom here for a Mother's Day brunch and my birthday celebration because it falls around…read morethe same time every year. I am so glad we chose Hide Out Cafe in Rowland Heights to have our celebration. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly, and the cafe is so cozy and welcoming. My brother was sponsoring our meal since he couldn't make it, so of course we had to go all out and order two drinks and two main dishes. (Thank you, big brother)! I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. We left with happy smiles and full stomachs, and can't wait to come back soon.

We waited about 15 minutes, thinking the second order was just running behind. Since we were trying to be patient and enjoy our time, we ended up splitting the one sandwich we received. The restaurant wasn't busy, but we had a hard time getting our waiter's attention. Unfortunately, we never found out what happened to the second order and ended up leaving still confused. At least we had six tater tots to split three each, really yum tho :)

This was probably the best curry spot I've had in a long time after. It is comparable to Curry…read moreHouse. The curry is a very deep and rich flavor. If you can handle spice, I loved the regular spice level, otherwise mild is there next level down and was perfect for my friends. Out of the hamburger, chicken katsu and the pork tenderloin katsu, I would have to go with the chicken. It was juice, tender and so delicious. The pork was a little bit more on the tougher side when compared to the chicken. But no matter which protein you go with, they were all delicious. A curry plate also comes with soup and salad. Both were served right away and very delicious. Despite how small the salad bowl was, they really stuffed it with salad. The server is nice and parking can get pretty crazy if you come during a rush. This is a great spot for a curry fix and would highly recommend.

The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. I ordered the chicken katsu, and it was made with chicken breast. I actually prefer that because it fits my macros better, though it was a bit drier than it would be if it were made with dark meat (chicken thighs). That said, it was still delicious. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place. I'm already looking forward to coming back to try the noodles--they looked absolutely exquisite!

The young lady explained the menu in detail and gave us a sample of their strawberry agua fresca and the café de olla. Once we tried the samples, we were excited to oder. We ordered a medium plate of green chilaquiles with asada and an egg and a medium plate of mole poblano chilaquiles with chicken and an egg. The presentation was a 10/10. We couldn't wait to take our first bite. The egg and asada looked perfect with the creama and cheese melting away. The First bite was love at first taste!! The crispy chips, the tender asada, perfectly cook egg and the green salsa gave me smile. A smile of WTF have I been missing. The mole poblano chilaquiles was aqually amazing!! The mole took us back to our visit to Puebla, where we tried authentic mole for the first time!! Props to the kitchen staff who prepared our amazing dishes.
