Orange Chicken combo plate with fried rice and pan fried noodles. 14$ & worth it
    C Turner

My new go to chinese place! I ordered an orange chicken combo plate and crab rangoons (not pictured because i devoured them). It was still hot upon getting home so I was pleased to know it was made fresh. The portions are huge and absolutely delicious. The orange chicken was in huge tender chunks with breading that isn't overly sweet. Each chicken piece held just the right amount of crisp where you're not cutting your gums or contrary wise, eating mush. It's my opinion that while pan fried noodles as a side are delicious and "light" (for take out haha), I would like you to consider adding something small to bring it up to par with the entrees. Sesame oil maybe? The rice itself is very light so I think a bit more complexity on the noodles will make it just right. Ummmm okay. So let me be for real with you right now. The rangoons were the best i've ever had ever. Water chestnuts?? Green onion?? Omg. to die for. I can't speak for restaurant experience but I will definitely be in again to try! Thanks for a delicious meal!

    Broccoli beef combo

Came here for lunch today. We shared broccoli beef with fried rice and bean sprout chow mein and sesame balls. The worker was very friendly. The place is also so cute and well kept. The food was pretty good. The beef was a smidge salty but I liked it and we will be back to try more things.

The food here does not improve. It's so basic, but if you look closely, there's no complication, complexity of flavors or even basic wok-skills that are used properly. None of the meat has a char on it or is richly flavored. The vegetables are essentially blanched... full of water.. absolutely no char or caramelization that would add levels of interest and TEXTURE!!!!!!!! It misses all of the complexity and doesn't captures ANY flavors achieved through proper wok cooking. It's lazily prepared as if they are trying to conserve gas costs in the kitchen. They can't even cut the meat into a decent size pieces appropriate for the mouth. Instead, the pieces are too large and you end up having to cut them and perform extra work that should've been done before starting the dish. My mushroom pork was dull, not cooked right and came sitting in about an inch of BROTH. You read that right....liquid water with some bullion! Not attempt to thicken or make taste special, no spices..ZERO complexity... It's a SAD example of the kitchen's lack luster ability. I can pull off a better stir fry in my own kitchen. Fool me twice?!!! I'm done eating here and may check it out again in six months. All of the dishes, lack flavor and are not prepared properly... they're actually kind of boring if you've been around and have absolutely no complexity of flavors or textures adding interest. They are not chefs, first. It's more of a cookie cutter process designed for ease, no skill required... 'Let's open a restaurant and try to make some money shoveling out poorly prepared dishes without ANY finesse.' Again, the table soy sauce is among the most sodium Laden out there. And while that may have passed in a restaurant 30 years ago, it is unacceptable when there are so many delicious LOW sodium versions commonly available on the cheap. Get with it. You should be constantly improving the quality of the food and your cooking techniques. Adding complexity, not overly simplifying things that come out boring, not cooked properly with essentially parboiled vegetables. The mushroom pork that I ordered yesterday was terrible. Bland, steamed pork and uncooked vegetables with zero spice thrown in a boring sauce that I could've whipped up in my kitchen in two seconds. It was 100% liquid! Hardly something you would even refer to as sauce! Sure, it makes the hungry feeling in your stomach go away, but if you've been around the block and have been exposed to good food and exceptional restaurants, at some point one has to says themselves, why bother? Shockingly in adequate and an insult to even a child in an Asian culture learn the basic and magic of what it's possible when using a wok! -G

The Dragon Fries are so good! They are fully loaded with orange chicken. They fries are also coated in the orange chicken sauce. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. It's a really big portion, one plate can feed 2 people.

Black pepper beef. You won't regret it.

Growing up with my grandfather cooking this place brings back a bit of nostalgia for me. One of my favorite dishes that I love to eat was ginger beef. I ordered that on this visit and it was so good. The beef was tender, which tells me they know how to tenderize the beef and the flavor was just how I like it. Plus it was full of gravy that would go good over rice. I would get this again. I also ordered the Dragon Wok chow mein and orange chicken. Both I would order again and again. Still unconvinced, you are missing out then.

The food was good and plentiful. The servers were attentive. Good experience all round. But I'm not a big fan of counter ordering. I'll come back. Pricing was a bit on the pricey side.

    Wor Wonton Soup to go
    Andrew K.

This brand-new, family-run Chinese restaurant focuses on full-flavored dishes and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The family reportedly operates several successful restaurants throughout the Central Valley and is now looking to firmly establish its roots in Fresno. The Dragon Wok is off to a blazing start, earning strong reviews from even some of the pickiest Yelp reviewers. Many highlight the delicious, freshly prepared dishes made with high-quality ingredients--and based on the handful of dishes I have tried so far, I completely agree. The wor wonton soup, Mongolian chicken, shrimp chow fun, and black pepper beef were all excellent, offering a beautiful balance of color, aroma, and flavor. The black pepper beef stood out with velvet-like, tender, juicy strips of beef coated in a thick, glossy, savory brown sauce, finished with a bold kick of freshly cracked black pepper. Slightly caramelized onions and crisp bell peppers added contrast in both texture and flavor. Dragon Wok was also my introduction to Mongolian chicken. I usually order this dish with beef, but the chicken version here was a welcome twist. The crispy, golden-brown bite-sized pieces were tossed with pungent ginger, fresh garlic, and plenty of scallions. The dish delivered an intense, umami-rich flavor with a velvety texture and was very well executed. The shrimp chow fun featured wide rice noodles stir-fried with juicy, marinated shrimp and plenty of crisp bean sprouts. The noodles were soft, chewy, and bouncy, coated in a glossy, dark soy seasoning with aromatic garlic and ginger notes. I especially appreciated the generous use of bean sprouts--something many restaurants skimp on. Dragon Wok honors the traditional Cantonese style with chewy noodles and crunchy toppings. My favorite dish was the wor wonton soup. It was hearty, comforting, and deeply satisfying. The wontons were generously filled with a savory pork and shrimp mixture, complemented by crunchy bok choy and sliced carrots. The broth was clear yet deeply flavorful--a rich blend of chicken and pork infused with ginger and green onion, with a well-balanced umami profile. The orange chicken was also surprisingly good. It is not a dish I normally order due to excessive sugar, heavy breading, and inconsistent quality at many restaurants. However, a staff member recommended it, and I am glad I tried it. The dish struck a nice balance of sweet, citrusy tang, and savoriness. The aroma was bright and subtly spicy, the texture crispy without being overly breaded, and the sauce was light--not overly thick or sticky--allowing the meat to shine. Overall, every dish I have tried has delivered a satisfying combination of flavors and textures. The service is friendly and welcoming, especially the Saturday crew. They are attentive, check in with customers waiting for takeout, make eye contact with warm smiles, and are happy to offer recommendations. 4.5 stars from me.

Finally, a solid Chinese spot in this area! This new establishment on First & Herndon is a nice addition to the neighborhood. I liked the decor inside--they put effort into the vibe and it's a great atmosphere for a meal. Food was tasty and the staff was super welcoming. Still a couple "new business" kinks to work out, but I'm definitely adding this to my regular rotation.

Excellent experience and entrees! We were recommended by a friend who knows owner from previous years. We were in search of fresh Chinese food with good service. We walked in and immediately found bought that it reminded us of Scottsdale restaurants. We ordered the Mongolian beef and kung pao chicken. Both were made fresh and excellent portions! Also the front staff were excellent and checked on us after we received our meals. We will definitely be back here!

Wor won ton soup w/chow fun noodles

Had to try Dragon Wok as the reviews were so positive. The young ladies who were working the counter were very nice. You walk up to the counter to order and they bring your food to you. Hubby had the kung pao chicken which he said was ok, but found the chicken to be grisly. My Aunt had the wor wonton soup which was huge, she'll be having her leftovers for at least two more meals. I had the broccoli chicken plate w/veggie fried rice and bean sprout chow mein. Again, ok, nothing exciting. I would go back to try some other dishes.

This is my 4th time eating at this restaurant. I love this place, but I need to give an honest review. As usual, the service was great . However, the food was not quite as good as the previous three times. I am not sure if it's a different cook on this visit. I had the mushroom chicken plate and my wife had the Kung pow chicken plate. Both plates had only a small amount of chicken and both were quite salty. Service = great Price = great Location = great Food today = subpar

The standouts were the yangzhou fried rice which comes with shrimp, chicken, and vegetables. Loved all the meat here and big chunks of veggies. The pot sticker was probably one of the best I've had in town, The wrapper was not too thick, Silky, Slightly crispy, And the filling was light and delicious not heavy.
