I am very impressed by the restaurant interior. It would be a perfect date spot. The bar area is organized and looked romantic. The food was good. We got their house sake and it paired well with the food. I think there are rooms to improve on the food. The chicken teriyaki was overcooked. I got the Peter Parker roll; it can be better with fresh shrimp tempura.

One night in Toledo, I came to Koreana to have a great meal. I read some amazing reviews on Koreana both on yelp and reddit, and decided I needed to try it. This place did not disappoint! Coming in, though i was a little worried. It is located in this strip mall, hidden from the road. Entering it, the place is very dark. I was wondering if maybe I was making a mistake coming here. It was not. It was great! The service was excellent. The server was very attentive. She routinely came by to see how we were and if we were enjoying our meal. My family all did! Our appetizer was the pork belly sampler. My brother and I both love pork belly, and this was a rather delicious version! My mom just had a bowl of miso soup, she loves that type of soup and just wanted to have that. She said it was so flavorful. My brother had the chicken katsu, which he raved about. I had a piece and can tell you it was excellent. Crunch on outside, tender on the inside, perfect! I had the spicy pork bulgogi. I have eaten bulgogi before but only beef, so i wanted to try it out but with this twist. I absolutely loved it! Spicy, tasty, great flavor, it had it all! We were too full for dessert, but i bet it would have been wonderful as well. I greatly recommend this place!

A quality Korean restaurant in Toledo! How cool. I went here on the recommendation of someone who has studied in Korea, so I felt pretty confident it would be good. It was! I ordered the beef bibimbap. When you get this (maybe any entree) it also comes with 4 side dishes (called Banchan). I don't know if you get to request certain dishes, or not. I got kimchi (great!), broccoli (yay!), something I have no idea what it was but good, and then maybe olives but I didn't try that. The bibimbap was excellent as the main dish. Also it came with a side of soup! I also got friend dumplings as an appetizer. The sauce container spilled open, soaking the dumplings, so that was a bummer (takeout order probs) but they were super good. The takeout time for an early dinner was only 35 min, so FYI.

Not open for dining until Tuesday. Ordered 3 crab kimbap and added kimchi to the rolls and a tteokbokki appetizer. Total $35.80. I noticed I was charged $1 for an extra side of kimchi to the rolls, probably a good idea to let the patron know there's additional cost to add it when I ordered it, it's just good practice. Hayley made sure to clean off the counter surface by her as well as the doors when I left, that's good practice for sure. The rolls looks good and packed at least. The tteokbokki seems a bit small for $9, even if it's an appetizer portion. Hayley advised it was enough for a meal, not in agreement. I would have ordered a second order since my hubby and I both love this dish, then again it would be a small amount for $18 worth. Their tteokbokki sauce was a bit sweet, not bad, not sure it's worth the amount for what little you get in the serving and definitely not enough to share. The crab rolls with kimchi were good. Egg rolls are a not over cooked, but tasted good anyways. I liked the crab and kimchi in the roll. They were big and filled too.

Some of the food was good. The Korean version of sushi was refreshing. the bulgogi was sweet, without enough of the garlic or onion flavor. Noodles were good. Service was good. The side dish that comes with the meal - pathetic broccoli, tofu, bean, kimchi. Very small quantities stranded on a large dish. There are 10 ways you could have presented this better. The really large dish just highlighted the fact that the food was pathetic and a small volume. But overall it just felt like someone gave up on this restaurant a awhile ago. The menus were sticky and dirty. In the bathroom there were only 2 stalls and one had a broken door. The floors were also sticky and my shoes kept making a noise when I would lift them up. Whoever is responsible should make a bit more of an effort. It seems like they have a regular clientele and they just keep churning out the same stuff.

My husband and I love this place. The bibimbap is truly one of my absolute favorite dishes ever.

There are days that I just crave bibimbap because of this restaurant. Everything is so fresh. There are still a couple decorations from the last restaurant which is obscure, but that adds to the uniqueness of this place. The best is when you go on a night where it is slow, and Mr kim, the owner, serenades you on his saxophone. No matter the case you need to go and try this place out. Food is delicious, the wait is sometimes slow, but that is worth it for how good everything is. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

I came here cause I as really craving sushi and ramen. I was here around 6:30pm on a Saturday evening. For the customer size that they have, I think they are grossly understaffed. I waited for about 15-30 mins to get seated and waited another 15-30mins to get my food. My waiter was really nice so I honestly can't be mad. I ordered the seafood jjambong noodles and crazy california sushi roll. To be honest the food was okay; a 3.5/5 for me.. Overall I think this restaurant was an ok experience and maybe not worth the hype or price.

Family has been in town from out of state since Thursday. We spent the weekend eating at a lot of…read morenewer Toledo establishments. Many of our families had not yet had any of the new "hotspots" It just happened to end up being a very Asian heavy weekend. (Koi/Top Pot) Top pot was great. The menu is enormous and the food and sauce combos are endless. We came in eight deep, my only complaint is not having enough large tables. If one person gets hot pot, everyone has to get hot pot. If you are going to make everyone at the table pay for hot pot, I think it's only fair to have enough hot plates for everyone at that table. I didn't even want hot pot, I just wanted the Korean barbecue portion, but I still had to pay the increased price. I get the concept, but if you are sitting at a table with six burners and there are eight people, it's a little ridiculous to make all eight of us pay for hot pot if we opt not to order broth and there's not even away for us to make a hot pot. We ordered a lot of food! There were a ton of appetizers, hot pots, and multiple rounds of ordering meats and vegetables. The staff stayed on top of it, we had our drinks refilled regularly, and we never had an empty plate. Prior to leaving, we all ordered bubble tea. This was not my first time here, but this was my first time coming with a group so large. In this instance, I didn't mind because the service truly was exceptional, but watch out for the gratuity that is added by the restaurant. Because it was a large table, they added automatic gratuity at 18 or 20% I can't remember which to be honest. I went to the podium and ordered my bubble tea to go and paid my bill. Without even thinking, I hit 20%, as I always do unless the service is terrible... Don't get me started on why we need to aggressively tip wait staff) As I was walking out, I looked down and realized I paid $62 for lunch! No alcoholic drinks, did not have a soft drink with my meal. Just korean bbq and a water plus my six dollar bubble tea to go. I figured someone else else's drinks or another person's check got added to mine. Nope! That's when I saw they had already added the automatic gratuity. So in addition to the automatically added gratuity, I paid 20% above that. Again, the weight staff were exceptional and we came in with eight people at 11:30 in the morning the minute the doors opened on a Sunday. I just want other people to be aware, not everybody has as much of a discretionary budget as I am unfortunate to have. When I checked into other people in my party suffered the same mistake. All I can say, is that waiter probably made a solid. $150 off us in tips. Good for him though!

The staff isn't overbearing & will help you when needed. I love the sauce bar, if there's any extras that you don't see, just ask the bar keeper.

Tonight was our lucky night as we were seated within minutes of our arrival. QQ Kitchen is very unassuming upon entry. Small sitting area that was filled with people waiting for their take-out orders. The dining area is small and decor is simple. There is one TV monitor and tonight, "Triple D" (Diners, Drive-Ins, Dives) was on. How appropriate, huh? Menu has a lot to offer making it challenging to arrive at a snap decision. Many great choices. We started off with Spring Rolls. Very refreshing taste and the peanut dipping sauce was quite tasty. Our dinner selections: Drunken Noodles; and Pad Thai w Shrimp. Both these dishes were excellent and very fairly priced for the food quality and portion size. A great deal of foot traffic for take-out orders during the entire time we were in the restaurant. Good sign. We had a fantastic meal and we will definitely be back yo visit QQ Kitchen. Well done!

This place is aligned fairly well though with food in Korea though ie not highly westernized. This place is in the center of the college area on Liberty and State street. The selection is not extensive but the basics are here including BBQ. Side dishes are decent, Kimchi, which is fundamental to any Korean meal and varies by region, is always included and people have strong opinions about. Theirs is OK but not top notch. Other side dishes are decent. Whatever we ordered, BBQ, Yuk Gae Jang, Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap (Rice. Vegetables and beef inn stone pot), other was pretty good.....just like Seoul Garden used to be before ownership change. We used to go almost exclusively to Seoul Garden near the mall off Boardwalk but after ownership change stopped as the taste changed significantly and not for the better. Its nice to have The Seoul is an option. They have beer and soju (Ubiquitous Korean liquor in Korea that along with Kimchi is many Koreans blood) Environment of the restaurant is modern but still a bit cozy. Overall, definitely worth a try. While we are at it, I have spent allot of time in Japan on business (some vacationing too) and I know it's trendy to go there now especially with the exchange rate, and by all means go, allot to see and experience (and eat!) there. But don't overlook Korea. The two countries have a torrid history and don't want to admit they are similar in many ways....but they are and Korea is loaded with great places to go and food to eat. Traveling can be done on any budget, feel free to reach out if you want to learn more. Also love to hear from experienced travelers, love to learn of new places and things to do.

Plus I can never decide what I want, so it was great to be able to get a combo with two different options. I went with the bulgogi/nengmyun combo and we also got an order of mandoo to share. Our server was super patient and helpful with navigating the menu. The food came out quickly and everything was pretty tasty - I loved the mandoo (dumplings) - they were big and filled nicely. The nengmyun was good, not the best version of this dish that I've had, but it's hard to find in my city so I was happy to have theirs. I loved the spicy pork bulgogi; super flavorful and not too spicy. Nate got the sundubu stew which was delicious and quite spicy! The portions were large, especially for the price.
