The Lodge at Woodloch is by far the best weekend retreat/upscale spa destination we have ever had…read more Where to begin? There is so much to mention, I'll just make a list; 1 The Lodge, the rooms, the common area, the spa- The actual building/facility is so well kept, clean, inviting, good ambiance and vibes. You are greeted by staff when you arrive, who park your car ,escort you in, take your bags, etc. The lobby is so inviting, a gourmet snack or drink will be offered to you upon arrival. The guest rooms are big so peacefully decorated clean and modern. 2 The Grounds, beautifully maintained open space; a lake for boating, birding talks, bike riding, axe throwing, group hikes, wine tasting, garden demonstrations, outdoor exercise classes. there is an exstensive garden that grows produce for the chefs menu. 3 The Restaurant, wonderful selection of food and drinks, live music. Make a reservation ahead of time to get your table and time. 4 The Activities (included in the price), check out their website, classes are listed ahead of time, and you should sign up for them before your stay. Here's the ones we did; kombucha making, painting, fire making ,yoga, birding, axe throwing, wine tasting, cooking demo, Bosu Ball, Zumba, live music, sleep therapy, veg garden lecture, wood working. There is also every exercise class imaginable. Chef samples and different types of non alcoholic drinks are always available in the common areas. 5. The Spa (not included in price), upscale clean, talented massage therapists We went in 2020 and 2023 and are planning to go back next year. 6. Other things to note; Guests are probably 80% women, mother daughter, women's weekend, things like this, not many men except couples. I recommend booking your activities spa and restaurant reservations ahead of time so you get the spots you want. This can all be done online. The Lodge is not cheap, but it is so well worth it! Hope this helps you make your reservation!

There is a good reason this is named one of the top destination spa/resorts in the country. Golf is across the road, along with an olympic outdoor pool, volleyball, tennis and more. We were best friends since we were 10 years old, went to high school and college together and finally after 20 years I opened my eyes to see that the love of my life had always been right in front of me - he said he knew it all along! We knew from the start that we wanted a weekend getaway and for it to be rustic. We began our search with Full Moon Resort and when we pulled into the drive for a visit we knew we found the place! Meeting Henry, one of the owners, really put the icing on the cake because of how helpful, insightful, and accommodating he was. He gave us a full tour of the facility including the grounds, the reception tent, the barn, the performance space and even the lodging. There are so many amazing things about this venue but I will list my TOP FIVE: #1. Exclusive use of the property! This allows you to customize your wedding and have all of your guests stay on site! #2. Multiple locations! There are multiple locations to entertain your guests over the course of the weekend, even in the winter! My husband is a musician so we took full advantage of the performance space and had a Friday night concert with him, his band and the other talented musicians in our circle of friends and family. #3. The food! Crazy, right? Some people will choose wedding venues based on their caterers however that was not even on our minds when we booked Full Moon Resort. We wanted the remote location, the rustic feel, the ability to have all of our guests stay on site so it felt like our own home in the woods and boy were we surprised when the food was outstanding! Probably the best MacNCheese and collard greens we've ever had. Ever. #4. The service! From the moment we met Henry, as mentioned above, we knew we were in good hands. Once we were introduced to our very own event planner Leigh Ann we knew we were in even better hands! Leigh Ann worked with me on every detail of the weekend - from our Friday night dinner and the music that would be played to every step of the ceremony on Saturday and the details (snacks, marshmallows, candy, etc) for the after parties! She was amazing and everything went off with out a hitch. #5. Free Honeymoon! We took advantage of the winter prices at Full Moon Resort and got married in March. We also took advantage of the free Honeymoon in St. John which was the most amazing, most beautiful place we ever went. We highly recommend staying in this remote cottage, it's exactly like the reviews say it is. The most important thing about getting married at FMR is to set your guests' expectations from the start. This place is rustic and your guests should know it. I've read reviews about the lodging and yes, they are close quarters - especially the shared bathroom spaces but if your guests are there to celebrate you, as long as they have a clean place to sleep and bathe who really cares? And if you care that much then you probably shouldn't have your wedding here. The lodging that's "down the road" from the main area is NOT that far away. That's actually where my husband and I stayed and it was 30 degrees and snowing! We made it work and it was just fine. I can't recommend this place enough - 5 stars doesn't represent how wonderful it is and our friends and family are still saying it's the BEST WEDDING THEY'VE EVER BEEN TO!

The bar stock needs to expand- no whiskey only bourbon and no cordials like Bailey's or Frangelico. Event space was large and spacious with lovely wood ceilings however sound was difficult due to no absorption. There was an after hours building also. They have clear rules/boundaries around BYOB and check out times so take note. I would totally recommend for events!

The lovely Eleanor does such a great job at greeting everyone and taking them to their table. It really feels like you're part of the family going up to Lukan's every year. The staff is so welcoming and genuinely seem happy to be serving you. Their team is on it! Always coming out with more food, drinks and anything you need, all while serving multiple tables that are usually parties of 5 or more. All the waitstaff seems to get along too, trying to enjoy their time together. This year, our server Jillian was a treat! She was so on her game, helping my family and keeping our plates full. The Farm itself is so lovely, tons of outdoor games like Ping Pong and Basketball. If you venture deeper into the property you can have some fun with all the animals like sheep, goats, chickens and even a Peacock. I'll have to stop by for dinner beyond Easter the next time I'm in the area.

We came on the coldest weekend of the year but my kids had a blast skiing, snow tubing, horseback riding, pony rides, arcade, game room, playing laser tag, swimming in the pool, the outdoor hot tub, and the nightly shows. Food is included in the price and it is buffet style for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is not but you are more than welcome to order more and take things to go. There's snacks available between lunch and dinner but there's also hot chocolate/coffee available all day long with some pastries. The only downside were the rooms. They are connected so if you have loud neighbors, you won't be getting good sleep. Overall, my kids loved the place and want to go back soon. I guess we'll have to wait for another Black Friday deal.

I say that in the most respectful way and only mean to say that I'm guessing the whole shebang would be next to nothing without her touch, her oversight and her attention to detail. The detail in the rooms, the perfection at breakfast, the lovingly manicured grounds, assorted wonderful nooks... at first I was wondering what there is to DO in Highland and, to be honest, I'm still not sure... but given the bike path, beautiful scenery and Inn At Twaalfkill, I'm not sure what else you need. I'm not always a fan of B and Bs... they can tend to be a little twee and you feel like you have to tiptoe around... partially because the walls in a good hotel are much thicker, the spaces less cramped, your anonymity more protected. There may be a bit of that tip-toeing here (the floors are pretty squeaky and you are worried that you are making too much noise for someone on a different sleeping schedule) but that is the only downside. We had just spent two nights in a pretty nice hotel in Beacon. The room was over 50% more expensive than here and, while large enough, there was not one square foot of horizontal space to put anything down in the bathroom.... The room at Inn at Twaalfill had so much guest-friendly space (especially in the bathroom), you would not likely have a use for all of it. If all B&Bs were this great and this price, I would never stay anywhere else.

This is the same for 'Ramada Rock Hill' location (and I'm going to copy and paste to that one too.)…read more Stayed here on a Tuesday night after doing some Borscht Belt photography of the old resorts during my vacation. It's annoying how this place is still $135-180 a night on a flippin Tuesday considering this is such a sleepy little sticks town and not everything is even open that early on in the week. But anyway, we could have stayed in a normal king room but of course we took the bougie route and got the king suite w jacuzzi tub. OH YES. And it was pretty much worth it! (for pics, inquire within for a small fee..Cough..) So for about $215 with tax, we were able to enjoy the pool which is open until 10pm and smells delightfully like cedar (i could have stayed in there all night) but was a bit on the chilly side. I didn't mind much but compared to other hotel pools it was not the usual 80 but rather around 70. Still nice though. Sauna in locker room area that i didn't check out and an awesome beer joint across the street that will deliver if you call ahead of time. Good ass food and super affordable! Bed was clean and comfy but they need to work on their pillow game. Very soft and flat pillows and only 4 small ones. I would have liked 6 if they were this size or at least 4 nice oversized. Tv was a tit fuzzy on majority of channels but who cares, I wasn't there for to watch that. Nice robes by the tub but um, don't think about jacking them bc they are a whopping $75 a pop if you do... better off nabbing some at target for a fraction of that. Would I come again? Absolutely. Plus I think the sofa at the foot of the king bed was a pullout so you could def fit 4 ppl comfortably and split the bill. No bed bugs spotted, no strange stains, only funky smell was in the hall outside the room. I might be back! Oh and um....abundant pokemon...wait what?
