After spending the afternoon crafting together, my mom, my daughter, and I decided to find a place for dinner. We chose Koshi Eats completely on a whim, and wow, what a fantastic surprise! We arrived around 5:15 p.m. and were surprised to see only one other couple dining there. The restaurant was spotless, inviting, and had a calm atmosphere. As we looked through the menu, we were immediately impressed. It wasn't that the menu was huge, it was thoughtfully designed and made everything sound fresh, flavorful, and high quality. One thing that really stood out was the variety of noodle options. I loved being able to choose between thin straight noodles, thick wavy noodles, udon noodles, and spinach noodles. It's such a fun way to customize your meal and something I don't often see at ramen restaurants. The food absolutely exceeded our expectations. The presentation was beautiful, each bowl looked like it belonged in a food magazine, and we couldn't wait to dig in after taking numerous photos! The first bite had us looking at each other in disbelief. Every dish was bursting with flavor. The broth was rich, complex, and absolutely delicious. It was one of those meals where everyone at the table keeps commenting on how good the food is between bites. I ordered the Hellfire Ramen with tofu, my daughter had the Garlic Punch Ramen, and my mom ordered the Japanese-style dry bowl (similar to bibimbap). Every dish was outstanding. I honestly think I was making happy noises with every bite because everything tasted so good. The noodles were cooked to perfection, the flavors were incredible, and every component of the meal felt thoughtfully prepared. My daughter loved hers, my mom loved hers, and we spent the entire meal talking about how YUMMY everything was. What surprised me most was discovering afterward that some of the online reviews are relatively low. Had I read them beforehand, I might have chosen somewhere else, and that would have been a huge mistake. Our experience was exceptional from start to finish. The only downside is that it's quite a drive from home, but it was absolutely worth it. Koshi Eats is one of those rare places you stumble upon unexpectedly and then can't stop thinking about afterward. We left already talking about when we could come back. We arrived here a bit early like before noon on a Thursday. So we had to kill sometime in the Delta Shores area bc actual time they opened wasn't until 12 noon! The ramen broth was not super hot like how I enjoy my soup plus the toppings were cold (no bueno) but my wife enjoyed hers tremendously. Unfortunately she can't eat this all the time bc she has to watch what she eats. It did satisfy her craving for ramen however. She had the spinach noodles original tonkatsu style ramen which I had the same except I had the larger flat noodle instead. You have a choice of 4 different noodles. The pork, egg & toppings were satisfying for her. Thank goodness. But I'm super picky about my soup & ramen!!! It is an order at the front & pay up front counter style of restaurant. Then seat yourselves anywhere in the restaurant. The mural on the wall was an awesome piece of artwork which they did an amazing job of it so it made the ambiance of the restaurant a little more appealing than super minimalistic bare casual. They had a change of management that's why some of the menu now are different. I like that they get rid of their sushi menu since its not really good. They are good with ramens. I didn't have super high expectations for this place but was actually pretty satisfied with my meal! It's a counter service style restaurant so you can take a look at the menu on the wall and order up front first. I really liked that you could pick your noodle type too (thin, thick, udon, or spinach) since that isn't offered everywhere. I loved the thin style in my Aka Ramen. I think the only thing was that it didn't have as much variety of toppings as I would've liked for a $17 bowl. Other than that, I enjoyed the broth and it wasn't too spicy. I also shared the kamikaze fries with my friend. It's a huge portion with delicious tender pork belly on top! That dish could be a meal in itself if you ate it by yourself. But it was nice to enjoy it more like an appetizer with someone else so you can still have your noodles too! Service was great, the cashier knew her stuff and was very efficient and fast almost like a robot! The place was pretty busy for a Wednesday night so I can see that it's pretty popular despite being in the middle of tons of other eateries. We were in the area and looking for something to eat. There are so many options in the shopping center but Koshi stood out to us since we love their Natomas location. Inside the same, similar decor and ordering at the cashier then finding an open table. Menu is also the same offering ramen and different appetizers. We got the tonkotsu ramen and miso. We also got extra noodles and broth. Ramen taste great and extra soup and noodles portions are large. Broth is rich and noodles are perfect. You can't go wrong with any of their ramens. I was in the area due to getting an oil change at Walmart and I realized I hadn't eaten lunch, which led to this place! I originally came because I saw from online photos that they had sushi rolls, but unfortunately they no longer serve sushi so that really sucked. However, I opted for their chicken katsu curry plate and it was delicious! Definitely made up for it. Service was good, and the katsu curry portion was huge for a table of one. I ended up being able to take some home. The quality of the food was great! If the curry was good then I can only imagine how good the ramen is. Went here for dinner. The place was decent. Clean and enough seating for everyone. I ordered the Wonton Ramen Soup and honestly, It just wasn't for me. I'm more used to the traditional Cantonese Wonton Noodle soup so maybe that's why. We also tried the Sisig rice bowl and didn't really like it either. I don't actually tend to go for their ramen (just okay), even though they have 9 kinds to choose from...for appetizers, spam musubi is a solid choice and quick on time as a starter, which I did before catching Wicked Part 1. If you are dining in and not in a rush, the whole grilled squid and takoyaki is the way to go -- can even make a meal out of apps! I'm a good fan of their rice bowls: chicken teriyaki, chashu, unagi. The chashu pork and the unagi are both good! They have chicken karaage as an appetizer but not in donburi (curry) form, or katsu. They also have sushi rolls (7 basic flavors and 10 specialty rolls), but I've yet to try those. read more

The decor and layout is almost the same. It took awhile for someone to greet us as we stood at the counter. Finally, one of the female server came out from the kitchen and came and took our order. Their menu is simple, not overwhelming, so it's easy to choose. We did not order ramen bowls which is what they specialize in. Instead we chose rice bowls. Hubby ordered Chicken Donburi (Grilled Chicken, Cabbage on Rice) and I chose the Chashu Don (Roasted Pork Belly, Cabbage on Rice). We ordered several items, ramen, sisig, and chasu. The food came out fast! Nice warm bowls of poek broth with noodles of your choice. The chasu was very flavorful. Nice thick slices. The sisig was basically the chasu but with a kick. Onions, chili, and cilantro with a soy citrus kind of sauce. Very yummy! The ramen was amazing. Flavorful pork broth with seaweed, corn, bamboo shoots, fried garlic, and an egg. The egg was so delicious and cooked to perfection. We also had the geso (fried squid), which was perfectly crispy and a good portion for $8.50. Service was friendly and attentive, and food served reasonably fast. Order at the counter, find a seat, and the server will bring your food. Our efficient server checked up on us and took care of any requests we had. Aside from several ramen choices, the menu includes sushi, appetizers, bento boxes, and donburi. I've only ever had ramen and squid (fried and grilled whole) here so not sure how the non-ramen entrees compare. But if you want ramen, Koshi will satisfy that craving. read more
