The vegetable ramen has good though limited vegetables. The noodles are instant starch style. The ordering register defaults to a 15% tip which is easily changed.

I was in the area due to getting an oil change at Walmart and I realized I hadn't eaten lunch, which led to this place! I originally came because I saw from online photos that they had sushi rolls, but unfortunately they no longer serve sushi so that really sucked. However, I opted for their chicken katsu curry plate and it was delicious! Definitely made up for it. Service was good, and the katsu curry portion was huge for a table of one. I ended up being able to take some home. The quality of the food was great! If the curry was good then I can only imagine how good the ramen is. Perfect spot for a quick lunch if you're eating by yourself or a small party. Definitely very yummy!

Came to Koshi Eats before heading to the movies and tried the: - Kuro Ramen, which has black garlic oil, fried garlic, an egg, green onions, a couple chasu pieces, and some veggie in it. 8/10 - Sake hand roll 8/10 - Maguro hand roll 7/10 - Hamachi hand roll 8/10 - Atlantis sushi roll 7/10 The ramen was delicious and the quality of the fish was good. It looks like their wasabi is freshly grated (correct me if I'm wrong) but it was goooood. The staff are friendly and great. There's a decent amount of tables and seating, and bar seating is an option as well.

Casual ramen eatery next to the Regal Movie Theater at Delta Shores. You order at the cash register and then sit down. The food is brought to you. They serve ramen, won ton soup, appetizers, soda, and beer. You also have a choice of thin, thick, or udon noodles. The ramen was tasty and service was quick. The restaurant was clean and it would be a good place to eat before or after a movie.

Went here for dinner. The place was decent. Clean and enough seating for everyone. I ordered the Wonton Ramen Soup and honestly, It just wasn't for me. I'm more used to the traditional Cantonese Wonton Noodle soup so maybe that's why. We also tried the Sisig rice bowl and didn't really like it either. I know the taste of real sisig and this one just didn't compare. Service was okay. Overall, not terrible but the food wasn't what I was hoping for.

As a Natomas resident, I'm more familiar with the Koshi Ramen on Truxel. This Koshi Eats is also by a Regal movie theater, funnily. Located between Fire Wings and Pieology at Delta Shores. I don't actually tend to go for their ramen (just okay), even though they have 9 kinds to choose from...for appetizers, spam musubi is a solid choice and quick on time as a starter, which I did before catching Wicked Part 1. If you are dining in and not in a rush, the whole grilled squid and takoyaki is the way to go -- can even make a meal out of apps! I'm a good fan of their rice bowls: chicken teriyaki, chashu, unagi. The chashu pork and the unagi are both good! They have chicken karaage as an appetizer but not in donburi (curry) form, or katsu. They also have sushi rolls (7 basic flavors and 10 specialty rolls), but I've yet to try those.

i came here with my boyfriend the service was fast & the worker was nice. we ordered two ramen bowls, one green tea & fries for $50. the fries were DELICIOUS! the ramen on the other hand was just okay. it seemed like something was missing but i'm not sure what. also i don't eat meat & on the menu there was only one vegetarian option to choose from which was a little disappointing. overall the vibe of the place was okay. nothing was extraordinary or terrible, it was just okay.

Food is hella good! Service was okay. When we walked in, she stared at us weirdly and didn't give us time to read the menu.

In short- really great experience. Recommended dishes were great. Best thing we thought about this place is the food and the service. The cashier and server were kind and attentive. Food was really done well for limited menu items. We'll definitely come again. Restaurant: Food: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Service: 5+/5 Price: 5/5 Great job Koshi- thanks for a nice evening

Food: 4.5 Mics Service: 5 Mics Ambiance: 5 Mics Food: I like the menu a lot. I can in for Ramen and truly enjoyed every bite. The spicy minced pork was really spicy...a little too spicy for me. I finished the bowl and still enjoyed . Service: Order at the cash register and get your food. Standard. The sushi chef behind the bar was talkative and the "server" checked in us. No complaints and no raves. Ambiance: Nice modern setup and outdoor seating. A little dark inside but nothing to complain about. There are clean bathrooms as well. I would come back and eat here again. Come in and enjoy!

First time trying this ramen spot. Wantes to eat lunch before we saw a movie. It's a nice restaurant. There's about 10 tables and a bar area that seats 8. We ordered several items, ramen, sisig, and chasu. The food came out fast! Nice warm bowls of poek broth with noodles of your choice. The chasu was very flavorful. Nice thick slices. The sisig was basically the chasu but with a kick. Onions, chili, and cilantro with a soy citrus kind of sauce. Very yummy! The ramen was amazing. Flavorful pork broth with seaweed, corn, bamboo shoots, fried garlic, and an egg. The egg was so delicious and cooked to perfection. I think they poach it in some soy broth because it had a lot of flavor. The service was great. They bring your drinks, utencils, and chili sauce to the table. Water is self serve. You must try this place if you're craving ramen.

12.05.23 Chicken Donburi (Grilled Chicken, Cabbage on Rice)
    May A.

Ramen Bar at the Delta Shores Shopping Center [Sacramento CA] Delta Shores has gained more restaurants since the last time I've been here. This was my first time trying out Koshi Eats at this location but I've been to the one in Natomas a few times. This second location is no different from the one in Natomas. The decor and layout is almost the same. It took awhile for someone to greet us as we stood at the counter. Finally, one of the female server came out from the kitchen and came and took our order. Their menu is simple, not overwhelming, so it's easy to choose. We did not order ramen bowls which is what they specialize in. Instead we chose rice bowls. Hubby ordered Chicken Donburi (Grilled Chicken, Cabbage on Rice) and I chose the Chashu Don (Roasted Pork Belly, Cabbage on Rice). I'm not sure if it was supposed to be served like that but some parts of the roasted pork belly on my meal was charred and even burnt. Hubby's chicken donburi looked more appetizing. Good customer service but 3.5 at best. Review #3276

Pay before you eat style restaurant, great for younger crowds or groups who don't want to split the bill or want to pay extra gratuity for large group. Street vibe ambiance with modern day feel. Menu is straight forward and has options for everyone. Both ramen my wife and I got the TONKOTSU AKAMARU (RED) and TONKOTSU KURO (BLACK) were ok, but I didn't get the deep rich flavor I'd expect from the ramen broth. This is my second time here in the span of 2 years and was hoping this visit would be better but they were both consistent in not providing that umami I expect from the broth. Koshi fries were good for what they are. Overall service was good and staff was friendly. They a chili sauce that can be added and they did give warning to add small increments, I loved that sauce. Would recommend for groups who are looking to get a quick bite to eat without the waiting and hustle of traditional sit down spot.

Is the menu online accurate? The past few times I have ordered ramen, it did not come with everything it said it would online. Still really good, just kind of disappointing.

sorry for the inconvenience, we are working on updating our website. but our online ordering is correct.

Expect to wait an hour for your food after you have been seated. We arrived close to opening at noon on a Sunday and did not leave until 2pm which is when they close for lunch. We sat at the back right side of the restaurant which is where the AC is blasting so it can get very cold when seated here. We started with the Ika Maruyaki (Teriyaki grilled squid) and for $28 this was a miss. No tentacles were served and the squid did not taste very fresh. It's really not worth the price point and I don't recommend it. The next appetizer was the toro roll and I think I need to order more sushi next time. The fish was incredibly fresh with a perfect amount of rice and high quality nori. I ordered the tempura udon - you really can't go wrong with the tempura here. It has a crisply light batter that is not too thick or oily. My husband got the tonkatsu curry and this always hits. The curry is so aromatic with the warm spices and the katsu is perfectly battered and cooked.

*** Vegetarian Review ***…read more Would I come back? Yes, friendly service. They can accommodate their broths for vegetarians. If you can handle it, always ask for a medium spice level. Tips for first-timers: 1) Plenty of free parking 2) They accept reservations The Food: Vegetable Tempura ($18.95, Grade A): I like how they cut the vegetables--not too chunky. There is nothing worse than a chunky carrot that isn't cooked to its core. The tempura batter doesn't pull off when you bite into it, and it isn't oily at all. Yasai Ramen ($17.95, Grade A): Asked for a water broth to make this safe and vegetarian-friendly. You would think it would be tasteless, but it was surprisingly packed with flavor. The medium spice level definitely helped, but even for people sensitive to heat, this would be a tasty dish. It says water-based, but it still has a deep, eye-appealing dark color. The noodles have a great bite. Not overly mushy. And they stay that way for the entire meal. Broccoli, zucchini, bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, and cabbage. The cubed tofu is fresh and wasn't spoiled which often happens with tofu in restaurants that a lot of people don't order daily. Jungle Roll ($14.95, Grade A): Avocado and cucumber, topped with a seaweed salad. Most Japanese restaurants fail to understand that vegetarians also want a fun roll! We asked if they could include a vegetable tempura inside the roll so there would be a good textural component, and added a drizzle of teriyaki and spicy mayo. Good news--they were able to do it, though having to check with the sushi bar is always an adventure ($1 extra for each request). Sidenote: Why do all Japanese restaurants need to ask the sushi bar? One-hundred percent of the time, we eagerly have to wait for the sushi court to give a "rolling." (Ruling if that was too vague). The rolls are made fresh and many meat-based rolls include a tempura element rolled inside. I could understand if we're asking to deep fry the roll, but just adding a tempura and a drizzled sauce? Ok, hopping off my soapbox. Bottom Line We've been coming to this place on and off for over ten years. It's been at least 2 years since our last visit, and there are some noticeable changes. Portions are smaller; the ramen bowls used to be the size of a food challenge. The restaurant itself is looking older and not quite as cared for, but the flavors remain excellent and the friendly, attentive service is completely unchanged.

My friend watched the waitress stack the 5 trays and left to process payment. Waitress returned and told them she was missing one payment. The party insisted that they all paid. The manager came to the table and told them they had to pay before they leave. Again, the party insisted they all paid. One of the ladies asked,"Are you saying that we're lying? There's security cameras in this room. Go review the footage and you can see the proof that we all paid and the waitress took the trays." Apparently the security cameras weren't functioning as he wouldn't look at the footage. The manager wanted to charge the missing payment to the person who used a charge card for her payment and the group told him that was not acceptable. The dispute went on for 30 minutes and customers at a near by table kept turning around and looking at us. The manager stepped away again and returned shortly with the missing payment saying that he found it under the cash register! There was no true apology, no effort to compensate the group for the embarrassing behavior and accusations. Clearly it was the waitress' mistake and she didn't apologize to the group. This is unacceptable behavior from the manager. Knowing this happened yesterday, I will no longer dine at Akebono. Very poor customer service.

But none of those reasons are the real reason I truly love Oto's,let me tell you what I really love.....Late last year I decided I was going to learn how to make my favorite food in the world and that is sushi.I went ham,I got the knives I got the kits,I got the rice maker,I got all the seasonings but what I didn't have was a spot to pick up the highest level of fish that was needed to really make homemade sushi pop and that is where Oto's came in to save the day. Their daily "sushi-grade" tuna and salmon that they sell in the back of the store is so next level-even a novice like myself cannot mess up a homemade sushi meal. They have so much to offer at Oto's,all the different levels of salmon and tuna, depending on your budget but all of it is amazing. I will forever be indebted to Oto's for helping me raise my sushi game at home and making my wife think that I'm just the best sushi maker-when it was always just the high quality fish offered at Oto's that did the work-Thank You Oto's for that. In closing-if you ever find yourself in the Land Park area and want to see what all the hype is about at this incredible spot or maybe you just want to try your hand at some home sushi making,be sure to stop by Oto's Marketplace-it truly is a gem amongst gems. PS....Parking sucks here-no way around that one unless u get lucky or have a handicap placard-don't like the parking.

If you're craving ramen, this is the place to go. This ramen house is literally around the corner…read moreof our house. Anywho, the last time I came here was before the pandemic. Soo long ago, right? Well, their ramen has always been great and tasty. This is a small restaurant next to other small business. The atmosphere is casual and cozy. They have art pieces and pictures of their ramen on the walls. There are booth, table and bar area seating. They have a variety of ramen, rice bowls, salads & some appetizers. Theres soda, sweet drinks but no alcohol serve. We came here for dinner around 6pm, not busy which was perfect. We were greeted my the server and seated right away in a booth near the entrance. Food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the #3 Red-Tonkotsu, #11 Shio Ramen & Unagi Rice Bowl as well appetizer, Shrimp Har Gao. The #3 was creamy with a spicy, savory kick to it. The #11 was light with subtle taste, not too intense like the miso or soy sauce flavors. Both ramen were flavorful. My dish was the unagi rice which contains rice, scrambled eggs and grilled eel. The portion was pretty big, tasted buttery, and tender, with a sweet-savory balanced. It was good but I've had better, meaning that the way the eggs were made, made a difference. Just know this dish did said scrambled so I wasn't expecting the slighty beaten running eggs that im used to when eating this bowl. The shrimp har Gao was mediocre, not flavored until you dipped into the sauce. Overall, all 3 dishes were well made. Appetizers was not my favorite. Service was great! Will definitely come back more often.
