Menu is pretty much the same from years past so the family stayed with Bento boxes and I went with sushi rolls: the Sunday special-Tuna Lovers and their King's Roll. The Bento boxes came out fast and the rolls shortly followed since we were there for early dinner. My fam was happy while eating their meal. Unfortunately the sushi rolls was okay, the rice used was cold & tasted like it had bee in a frig so after the first two pieces. I had to stop eating and hopefully let the rice come up to room temp. It did help a bit but the consistency was to my liking because the fish pieces used was warmer than the rice (even though I finished both rolls). I should've just packed up the rolls and tried it back at home. Regardless it was disappointing. Big picture: fam was happy with their food and we got quality time with my FIL.

We didn't say anything because we wanted to be respectful to the chefs and didn't want to make a scene. Our takeout experiences haven't been much better. On one order, they forgot an entire container that was part of our meal, so we had to drive back to get it. They called to let us know they had forgotten it but also told us we needed to arrive within 10 minutes because they were closing. They also regularly forget the spicy mayo on takeout orders, even though they charge extra for it, while it's provided at no extra cost when dining in. My husband and I used to come here regularly because we genuinely loved the food, but after multiple disappointing experiences with the service, we decided it wasn't worth coming back. No apology issued for the wait, either. - Felt nickel-and-dimed on the pricing. Nowhere on the menu did it say that the combo meal had a $1.50 surcharge for teriyaki beef! And the portion was super small. - Was charged $3.99 for a Diet Coke but menu shows less for fountain drinks. Asked about it and was told it's only in the bottle. Maybe a Diet Pepsi would have been cheaper at the fountain dispenser but wasn't explained that. - Didn't like the tone seeing some of the reminders about taking napkins (really?) and returning sauces. - Restaurant was mostly clean but the table we sat at was sticky. - A customer in front of me was dealing with some sort of issue, perhaps a credit card double charge on a previous visit?
