Kour Thai is my go to for fresh, delicious, food. The service is amazing. The views from the restaurant are amazing. The dining experience and food quality is consistently top notch.

Evidently we received by mistake, beef broccoli, beef chow mein, potstickers, and shrimp eggrolls, everything just seemed to be this time.

Three months ago, my wife and I ordered a dinner and everything was delicious. Now it seems everything has changed. The order was beef instead of chicken as we ordered sauces seem to be just thrown together and the shrimp eggrolls included a shrimp tail and a shell shrimp the potstickers were the same, but everything just seemed to be plain. We'll try one more time. Good location great for looking at the lake or sitting inside quietly.

Little gem authentic Thai food. service was prompt. Cozy family restaurant atmosphere. the view is spectacular. It would be a solid 5 stars if the Tim yum soup is served ahead of the main dishes, so they don't get cold while we finishing up the soup and less salt in noodle would be nice too

Partly eaten Seafood Supreme, steamed jasmine rice with sauce on it, and soup in front.

The best Thom Ka Gai I ever had! The food is beautiful and the sauce on the Seafood Supreme was divine.

Love coming here Been in business since 2007 Situated right on the lake Beautiful panoramic lake views All the food is made to order Hot and fresh ingredients Service is good when it gets busy the cook also comes out and waits on the tables and then goes back and prepares and cooks every single meal for each customer herself She definitely needs a GOOD short order cook and a prep cook she does all this herself as well I will de finitely keep coming back to this place as long as she is in business We love her and her authentic foods

VEGAN REVIEW Came…read morehere for a dinner in a recent work trip. This came up as my best vegan option. Started with the mango salad, had the pumpkin curry with tofu as my main. Large portions! Tasty & very fresh. Great herbs & lots of sauce. It's in a building that I think is a converted lumber mill? They have seating in a main dining room & then outside... that is still inside? LOL you just have to see it to understand. The decor is nothing to write home about, but it's clean & perfectly serviceable. The service is good. Attentive, but also one the server saw I was reading a book he let me linger. Would return again!

Overall, portion sizes especially the amount of protein in the dishes were a little disappointing, but they certainly deliver on Thai flavors when you're craving it. Koa Soi Chang Mai Curry Egg Noodle Soup (4/5): Egg noodles have a satisfying chew to them with some extra fried noodles over top to add a bit of crunch. Soup was savory, but I just wanted all the flavors to be amped up more (more tang! more spice!). Fantastic option for a rainy and / or sick day though! Panang Curry w/ Pork (3.5/5): Pork was a bit overcooked and chewy, but thinly sliced enough to not be a problem. Plenty of vegetables, but a little sparse on the pork unfortunately. The curry itself had great flavor: great balance of sweet, creamy, and savory across the spices and coconut. However, the curry ran very thin and ate more like a soup. Angel Wings (3.5/5): Chicken was juicy and tender, but there was no crunch on the outside and the skin was still the soft / slightly slimy texture. The sauce is a great sweet and salty combo. The side salad wasn't the freshest, but they aren't the star anyways.

An extremely solid 4 1/2 stars…read more.. I found this place while staying at a local motel. The name kind of concerned me, so I took a look at their menu online. Szechuan is way too spicy for me, but they had a lot of items on the menu that were not spicy at all. I decided to go with a sizzling rice, soup, and the mu shu chicken. The restaurant was only a few minutes away, so I called my order in, and they told me it would be ready in just a few minutes. I go down to pick up my food, and it was a very nice restaurant. The people who ran the place were very friendly, and when they brought out my food, dear Lord... It was in a large box. I couldn't believe how much food I got. I brought it back to my room, and it was amazing. The soup had chicken, beef, and shrimp. The broth had a great flavor, and between the meat and the veggies, which were not mushy at all, there were a lot of "goodies" inside. It also came with a very decent sized portion of crispy rice to put in the soup. The moo shu was also very good. The chicken was tender and moist, and the veggies played very well with it. The "pancakes" actually reminded me of tortillas, but they were very good, and there were *5*of them. The order came with what I believe was a hoisin sauce on the side, and I put some of that in the moose shoe, and some of that in the soup, and it just completely added to the flavor. I had enough for dinner, a snack later on, and breakfast in the morning. It was an amazing meal. The only reason I'm taking off half of a star, was because they didn't give me any silverware or napkins. I didn't think about looking when I got the meal, because I figured they would be there. Fortunately, I keep a set of travel silverware with me, and so I didn't have to go back to the restaurant to get the silverware. I don't know if they normally don't give the silverware or if they just forgot, but it was a very small glitch. Next time, I will double check. And yes, there will be a next time. Thanks!

I called the restaurant in advance to ask if I could make a reservation and to please give the check to me, as this friend can be quite stealthy about paying the bill. The lady who answered was most pleasant and accommodating and she mentioned that she would be our server too. The interior looks very similar to when this place was known as Aji. The previous owner had done a remodel before it changed hands so it is much brighter and inviting. We were seated at a booth and the menu is quite intriguing. They offer all kinds of nigiri/sashimi, classic rolls, special rolls, ramen, udon, bento boxes and even a kids menu. I don't eat raw fish so I ordered the green curry ramen which was a beautiful serving with two thick slices of pork, bamboo shoots, and a jammy egg. The broth was not what I expected. Even though the menu says medium spicy, I found it to be a very mild with a thin broth. I really enjoyed the slices of pork. My friend ordered the tempura udon. It was a nice serving of udon with vegetables and her tempura arrived separately on a plate, which we liked. Otherwise, the tempura would get all soggy. She couldn't stop commenting how good everything tasted. The interior is clean and service is outstanding, friendly and helpful. Our server was kind enough to take photos of us. When we arrived home, my friend realized that she had forgotten her leftovers. She was terribly disappointed so I told her to call the restaurant and sure enough, they had saved her leftovers in their refrigerator. What a very kind gesture! She drove back to pick them up and she was elated that they had been saved for her. Thank you Shiki for the nice meal and for saving my friend's leftovers. There are a few tables outside so you could enjoy a meal with your furry friend. Parking is available right outside the restaurant shared with other businesses.

I am still completely shocked by what happened at dinner tonight…read more The four of us went to a restaurant we've visited many times before. My mom loves their poke bowl and always orders it with less rice because she doesn't want to get filled up. Every other time she's ordered it this way, she's received a reasonable amount of rice--less than normal, but still enough for the meal. When my mom's poke bowl arrived, it had almost no rice at all. Since there was barely any rice worth mentioning, she told the waitress about it and asked for some rice to compensate. She was brought a small bowl of rice and added some to her Poke. When the bill came, we noticed she had been charged $5 for the rice. We politely asked the waitress about it. The owner overheard, and interject telling us that because my mom asked for less rice, she received less rice. We explained that wasn't the issue--we were confused about being charged extra for rice when the original portion was so unusually small.....nonexistent. The owner insisted that my mom hadn't asked for "half rice" and then went on to tell us that "you Americans don't understand how poke bowls work." At that point, we were stunned. We tried to explain our concern, but the conversation only became more frustrating. Eventually, I said to forget it and that we would just pay the extra charge. Instead of letting the matter go, the owner brought the chef out of the kitchen to further explain why we shouldn't have expected more rice. It was incredibly insulting and completely unnecessary. She would not stop berating us. We repeatedly asked her to stop, but she continued arguing the point. What should have been a simple question about a side charge turned into a lecture and a confrontation. We finally got up and left. This wasn't about the cost of the rice. It was about the way we were treated. We've been loyal customers for a year since she opened, and I've never experienced anything quite so disrespectful in a restaurant. Shame on you, Yu. Telling everyone we know.... and we know a lot of people here.

Cooked to medium rare perfection and delicious chimichurri. The steak was properly seasoned and the chimichurri added a nice herby spice. The fries were cooked just right and were gone in seconds. Service: Our service was excellent. The servers worked as a team and covered our needs well. Kept our water filled and gave us new utensils without even asking. The severs were all dressed chefs wear and looked very cool imo. Everyone has a neat and buttoned down appearance. They all had smiles which is a huge plus. Ambiance: The inside looked like were inside a barrel. The ceiling were rounded in a medium colored wood with dark metal curved beams. Jyun Kang Vegetarian - A Meal That Quietly Resets You…read more Some meals speak in flavor. This one speaks in quiet. Jyun Kang is not modern plant-based cuisine. It isn't creative, trendy, or reinvented. This is the kind of vegetarian cooking that comes from older traditions - simple, steady, and designed to calm you more than impress you. And maybe that's why the dining room is always full. White, Black, Indian, Asian - everyone sits at the same wooden tables, eating the same humble dishes with an ease that feels rare these days. The Food: Old-School, Temple-Style, and Intentionally Quiet Nothing here tries to stand out. The dishes are: * lightly seasoned * clean and balanced * tofu, vegetables, and wheat gluten prepared the way temple kitchens have done for decades * no heavy oil, no aggressive spices, no sharp flavors It's not meant to overwhelm you. It's meant to lower the noise inside you. In a strange way, the quietness is the flavor. This is the type of meal where your nervous system shifts down a gear without you realizing it. The Atmosphere: A Dining Room Wrapped in Calm Steps away from the main courtyard of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, the restaurant feels like an extension of the grounds themselves. Light streams in softly. People speak gently. Even the clinking of dishes feels slower, more deliberate. Eating here isn't just eating - it's entering a different pace of life. A White Peacock After Lunch After the meal, a white peacock walked across the courtyard - unhurried, soft-footed, almost unreal in how quietly it moved. White peacocks are often considered auspicious, but even without any symbolism, the moment felt grounding - a small, unexpected pause that matched the tone of the meal. Not many restaurants offer you that. The Walk Afterward Part of the experience is what happens once you step outside: * walking past tall trees * seeing peacocks on rooftops * watching families stroll through the open grounds * letting your mind cool in the same way your body just did This isn't a restaurant visit. It's a reset. Verdict: A Place That Nourishes More Than Hunger Jyun Kang serves exactly what it intends to serve: pure, old-style temple vegetarian food, quietly and consistently. It won't dazzle you, but it will steady you. And sometimes, that is worth more than flavor. If you want boldness, go elsewhere. If you want a meal that lowers the volume of your day - come here.
