This place used to be a gem before it went thru new management. I ordered a to go items, one was Honey BBQ pork and chicken fried rice. BBQ pork was a few thinly sliced meat with veggies for $17+. Fried Rice was too greasy and I couldn't eat the rest but waste it due to the bottom being soaked in oil. We stopped here on our way to Mendocino. We ordered the Drunken Noodles and the Red Curry with tofu and vegetables. I saw that you could get the red curry with either mango or pineapple so I asked if I could have both added. Both, not one. They did so and charged me an extra $1.00 The food was delightful!! I really liked the fact that all the ingredients (except the pineapple) were fresh, not wilted or overcooked. The pineapple was from a can and that was the only disappointment. While traveling to Seattle, I stopped by and had lunch at a place named Thai Spice. At first, I thought it was going to be your typical Thai food place, but I was wrong. The menu had so many choices. This appeared to be a family run Thai restaurant. It was very clean and well maintained. The ambiance was really enhanced with nice decorations and display pieces. The young lady serving me was very polite and attentive. She answered all of my questions about the menu. I had Padthai and Thai Ice Tea (best I ever had). I even had some egg rolls. My verdict-Fabulous! When finished, they had my best dessert of all time-deep fried banana. It was entirely different than any I have had. It was like a wrap with a banana, then fried. The pumpkin curry consistency was way too thick, it was also way too sweet. No spice at all. I also got chow mein, fried rice and a seafood dish. Way too bland and also on the sweeter side. Too many vegetables not enough seafood in it. It's so expensive and I was disappointed. I spent $72 and some change yesterday and very disappointed. Thai food seem to differ ever so slightly between restaurants. In my experience every single one has something unique to offer that keeps you coming back. There are 5 levels of heat. We ordered Spicy Egg Plant Basil (Level 5), Drunken Noodles (Level 2), and Garlic Wings. When I mentioned level 5, our waitress (possibly owner) jokingly said I would cry. That got me worried at first, but I was able tolerate it. Excellent dishes all across. Also, they have draft beer. Winner! At Thai Spice, the food itself is an enough reason to return. However, their customers service is top notch and this place is all about cleanliness and it is obvious. It's a great feeling doing business with great folks. read more

My lovely daughter, Joy and son-in-law, Mike drive me to this smoothie place for a breakfast smoothie for me then afterwards, inhale Thai cuisine next door. Awesome! I must apologize for not taking a photo for Thai Spice which is directly next door to Flavor Fiesta but, I was seriously inhaling the delectable Thai shrimp rolls; I simply forgot EVERYTHING! My brain was in mindless fodderland while inhaling the shrimp rolls and downing the mango smoothie; I'm an absolute zombie inhaling my delectable dish from heaven! Meanwhile, my daughter, Joy and son-in-law, Mike ordered a PLETHORA and I mean a serious PLETHORA of Thai, main course dishes! Whoa~When they inhale cuisine, they inhale well! Lol! Ordered Shrimp Pad Thai to go. I was looking for some spicy so I ordered the meal at a level 8 (out of 10) and let me tell you- it didn't disappoint. The heat was definitely there and but not over powering. The noodles were soft and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The dish was served with a slice of lime and some fresh cabbage which brought a brightness to the dish. The person taking my order told me the dish would be ready in 15 minutes and i arrived just as the dish was being placed in a bag to go- probably 15 minutes. I throughly enjoyed it. Got the classic - yellow curry and drunken noodle. As good as I've ever had. Second time I got the Massaman Curry and the Tom Kha soup. I liked the Massaman Curry, but know that it is very peanut-y. I'd stick with the yellow curry next time. I did not at all like the Tom Kha soup and wouldn't get it again. My friend tried it and liked it, but it was the only thing we didn't finished. He got the Spicy Basil and loved it. I didn't see a menu posted, so I've included pics of the menu with prices. Take a gander if you wish. They have other good offerings. Food came out FAST. Impressive. Service was good, but if it ever got busy I think they would struggle. There was only my friend and I and another table of two. We were out of water for quite some time without them offering to fill it. There was a piece of chicken left under the empty table next to us. We also had to get their attention to ask for them to bring our bill. However, sometimes I feel like this happens *because* a restaurant is slow, not in spite of it, so forgivable. Small details just because they're new, not anything that was bothersome to me. They were very sweet. I wanted to get the Thai Iced Tea, but they didn't have boba so I passed. Bummed about that. The yellow curry comes with white rice, per usual. But the amount is not quite enough. One personal serving (see pic) - not enough for family-style yellow curry. The food was amazing! I ordered takeout for the evening and ordered on the Yelp app- very convenient, I explored the menu and had the option of picking what kind of spice I wanted. We ordered the sweet & sour pork, garlic & pepper chicken and some pad Thai! It is nice to have the rice included in the price- very reasonable but we didn't even finish one small carton of rice, I just wish it was an option not to have on the order but you have to pick one. We will definitely be ordering Thai Spice again and we are looking forward to trying the curry! read more

This place sucks!!!! First time here, passed through to get food and the lady who assisted us seemed like she didn't even wanna be there! It almost felt like we were an inconvenience to be assisted. We got water since at first we wanted to eat there, but after that vibe I wanted to get the f*#% out of there. Water was served and hair was inside the glasses!!! My husband pointed it out and I literally was so disgusted! Looked like dog hair inside the water floating around like ice cubes! So gross!!! Who knew such delicious Thai food could be found in Cloverdale! We were visiting from San Francisco and felt like eating asian food. Definitely surprised with how delicious the food was & very comparable to some of my favorite Thai restaurants in SF. We actually visited Thai Spice twice during our short weekend stay in Cloverdale. The first visit we decided to do takeout & during the second visit, we ate in. The drunken noodles & chicken satay appetizer are solid. Basil fried rice was also delicious. Thai Spice is under new management, and I really miss the family that used to run it. I liked the slightly spicier flavor of the dishes we ate, BUT I'm giving one star for EACH of the shrimp in our shrimp dish. That's right: One, two.
