They have plenty of seating. ​I should also mention that their menu is so good it left me torn on what to order. Despite the crowd and influx of orders, I thought the service was fast. The team works like sandwich ninjas, slicing meat and slathering spread, which was fun to watch. ​I ordered 'The Veggie,' while my husband got 'La Paradiso.' The focaccia tasted extremely fresh: crusty on the outside with a prominent flavor of EVOO, and soft on the inside. Excellent customer service, and very good sandwiches. I just discovered All'Antico Vinaio, and based on the stellar reviews I had to give it a try. All three people behind the counter greeted me enthusiastically and with big smiles when I walked in. I perused the menu and opted for La Toscana. While I was waiting, I was enticed by the beautiful display of delicious and fresh ingredients in the display case. Every sandwich is made to order, but they worked very quickly so I didn't have to wait long. Overall the sandwich was excellent. In particular the Truffle Honey really took it over the top in terms of great flavors. I did feel that the focaccia was a bit too crispy, at least to my taste. I'm not sure if this was a one-off issue or if this is how they always make the bread. I would have preferred the focaccia to be quite a bit softer, but maybe that's just my personal preference. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but it was a very hot day so I stayed inside with the air conditioning. The place is really clean with some nice decor. Came on a Wednesday night around 6 and it was pretty dead. That being said the food was still delish! We got l'inferno, a slice of the olive oil cake and a glass of red wine. I've had All'Antico Vinaio in Las Vegas before and when I saw they had one in Nashville I definitely needed to stop by! The location is conveniently located near Vanderbilt. There was alot of seating all around and alot of TVs. So definitely an option if you wanted to eat and watch some sports. We came for an early dinner so it wasnt busy at all. We got the L'INFERNO but subbed the nduja for sun dried tomatoes. They packed the sandwich with porchetta! All of ingredients in the sandwich was top tier. So obviously the sandwich was as well! My colleague and I were looking for a new place to go for lunch when we were in the office last. We found this place, which to us at least, was a new sandwich shop. They're going for an Italian vibe, and the decor basically agrees. The people were all extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. I later learned the name basically translates to "Ye olde wine merchant." This place is totally fine, and maybe it's totally your thing, but my colleague and I decided we likely wouldn't be back. Not because it's not good, but because the whole vibe, the food, the pricing, just don't align with what we go for. When I'm going for a sandwich, I want to quickly know what I'm ordering. The menu was lots of Italian, which I can't read or understand, so there was a lot of reading the paragraph under each unpronounceable name and back and forth trying to decide what I wanted to try. I'm pretty sure my friend and I were drawn to the sandwiches we picked because the Italian names were close enough to English that we knew what they meant, though they both came with some ingredients I'd never heard of. Apparently mine came with pistachio cream, which I didn't know was a thing, at least for sandwiches. If the stuff on my sandwich was that, it was kind of like loose cream cheese. I'm sure they would have answered our questions if we had more or adapted if we'd asked to leave something off, but I didn't really know what most of the things were, except prosciutto, so we just went with the default. I was unimpressed with the drink selection. A can of soda for 3 bucks. Not classy, which conflicted with the vibe they are going for. Between the sandwich, the can of soda and the lowest percentage tip on the screen (fifteen), my lunch was over thirty bucks. The sandwich was big enough, it comes on a square of ciabatta bread cut into two rectangles, so I at least felt like I got enough food. Each bite was good, but when I stopped to look at what I was eating, I couldn't really distinguish between everything in there they kinda squirmed together and I didn't recognize anything specific. Bottom line: this was too fancy for me and my colleague. It wasn't bad at all, but not what I'm looking for when I want a sandwich for lunch. If you're looking for something new or your palette is more evolved, I would encourage you to give this place a try. read more

They have 3 vegetarian options, 1 being the classic caprese and two others being similar sandwiches with grilled vegetables, cheeses, and a spread. The fillings of the sandwich were good, but the pistachio spread was really rich and could have benefitted from balsamic vinegar or something acidic to cut through it. We went on opening day. I didn't notice any problems or glitches. My friends and I got different sandwiches, and they were all quite good. AmaIng bread, just like the sandwich shop in Florence, Italy. They do load on the meats. (They evidently ran out later in the day, according to a review.) Service was perfect. I've been to the one in Florence and while this doesn't compare to eating the fresh sandwiches in Italy, it's pretty darn close. It takes maybe 7-8 minutes for them to make your sandwiches, and the focaccia is warm and still crispy. They are expensive but the portions are generous. I want to leave it 5 stars for the district sandwich, but the other one we got (dolcezze dautunno) was not good. The district was PHENOMENAL! The interplay of the creamy pecorino, the salty pancetta, and the fresh bitter arugula was to die for. However the dolcezze dautunno was almost inedible for us. The Lardo is this white meat that has the texture of raw chicken and tastes like pure fat. I had to take out the meat to finish it. The honey and truffle are good, but even then, it was so rich. It could use something fresh to cut through. If you come I would definitely go for the more exciting sandwiches (the ones with the pecorino cream, pistachio, truffle, etc), as that's where they shine! read more

Great concept but the hype did not match. Staff was robotic. Asked to have the sandwich cut in 4 and was told "I can't" there were no customers in line and they already cut in 2. It took her longer to say I can't than the nano second to cut it. I had ready paid and given the staff a 22% tip, which I regretted. The Venice needed some salt, acid and fat like sea salt, pesto, mustard, mayo as mozzarella and tomatoes were flavorless. Turkey was tasty but dry.
