I daydream about this place. I was never a taco person and this restaurant opened my eyes to GOOD tacos. First off, the interior is absolutely gorgeous, between the decor and the natural sunlight. Even the bathrooms are beautifully decorated. Everyone working there is so kind and friendly. The food was next level good, the burrito and the tacos are what dreams are made of.

The standouts were the aguachile and the drinks! The aguachile was so flavorful but I wish it had more shrimp, it was mostly cucumber. The service could've been much better, we didn't seem to have a clear server and had to flag down people to get things. The tacos were definitely a disappointment, making any flavor. The enchiladas were fine, I'd get them again. The beef lengua was very dry and bland. The other location definitely has better tacos but this location is much prettier as far as decor.

My wife was feeling sick and wanted to surprise her with some breakfast. Ordered 2 burritos and 1 Orange juice . Upon ordering, I asked to make sure that the chilaquiles burrito did NOT have chicken. The woman on the phone said, of course not. (See picture that does not have chicken) but I also know from previous experience that they put chicken in it, even though it's not on the menu. Go to pick up my order and the orange juice is filled halfway. They say.. oh that's the amount we give (I was there last week and I got a full cup to go) Asked for sauce on the side, and they said no, it wouldn't taste right with it on the side. I go home, and the burrito has chicken in it. I drive back and the woman tells me "that will be 13.00" I tell her that I asked without chicken just like the menu has it. Mentions nothing about chicken. She gives me an attitude, takes back the other burrito (with the chicken), and says "just this one time we will do it". I was really disappointed in the response that I received especially when we go to Jalisco often and I'm just asking for my order to be correct. I paid paying for $40 for 2 burritos, and a drink with a tip. No apologies, just that we inconvenienced them with our order. I come home and the new order is cold and looks like this (see picture) This is very disappointing as my wife and I have been to this establishment many times since opening. We know that times are tough with rising food cost but being kind to customers costs $0 and will get you more future business. There are plenty of other places nearby with delicious food such as Angela's, and mi pueblito.... And I will think twice before coming

I'm originally from Arizona and moved to Massachusetts in 2023 and into the Orient Heights about two years ago and one of the biggest things I missed from Arizona is good Mexican food. I have tried a lot of different Mexican places around Massachusetts and they've been fairly disappointing. When Taqueria Jalisco opened up, I was really excited to try it because the other location had such great reviews and was within walking distance. I was so impressed. Taqueria Jalisco strikes the perfect balance between traditional food and fun, creative upscale food you might get from a trendy restaurant. I can get amazing birria tacos and menudo or concha french toast and a mimosa flight. I can have a nice comforting dinner or head over in the morning to finish off a whole mimosa flight with some concha french toast for a fun brunch. It's absolutely perfect and scratches the itch I've been missing since I moved. The staff is always kind and we've always had excellent service. Even if I'm just grabbing a couple burritos to-go on my walk back to my house from the station, the staff is always cheerful and makes a point of inviting us back. Couldn't be happier to live near this wonderful restaurant, it's brought great things to the Orient Heights neighborhood.

The ribs are fabulous! No question. They are as good as any I've tasted anywhere! Juicy, meaty,…read moreso flavorful. Perfect, I'd say! The green beans are fabulous, too. Fresh and perfectly cooked. I think the mashed potatoes must be fabulous fresh, but mine were heated over because they were prepared before I arrived, so I tasted that heated-over taste. But! They were very good; real potatoes, which you almost never can find anymore, and lots of butter! I might change that myself; a little less butter and a little more milk or cream. The thing I found disappointing was the fried chicken. I went to the restaurant to try the ribs because I'm looking for ribs to serve at a dinner party and I'm on the hunt, but I had to try the chicken! You may like it; I think my objection is a personal taste thing, but ..... The coating on the chicken tastes like it was poured out of a spice-blend like Montreal Steak seasoning or the Kirkland Signature Organic No-Salt seasoning, or Lawrey's Seasoning, or the seasoning packet from Good Seasons Zesty salad dressing packets - I know I've tasted it before, but I can't remember which it is. It was too too much! As I said above; it tasted like it was poured into bowl from the package and the chicken was dredged in it. The flavor may be great if it were toned down a little, like starting with flour and adding the seasoning blend to the flour? Starting with half and half of each would be an improvement, but I would go with a 3 to 1 ratio of flour to mix. Other than that, I am definitely going to order the ribs for my dinner! As it was, I used the sauce that came with the ribs to dip my chicken in; that sauce is out of this world!!!!! And the two gentlemen who helped me were terrific! Carmen talked to me about the ribs, the rest of the menu and was the most gracious host! I told him about my quest for ribs and he was very helpful! He alone is worth going back for. And Zee must have asked me 10 times if I needed anything; he was very attentive! This is a cozy place tucked away where you can go and relax and enjoy a great meal! Order the ribs!

It was ok but the corn was not charred at all. We then split the strawberry & burrata pizza. It was ok- but lacked a solid umami flavor. It needed more salt and pepper to be enjoyed. The worst part of the experience was that the manager (I think- he was dressed in all black & I saw the staff asking him questions) came out twice to smoke. He smoked by the railing close to Starbucks, which was about 20 feet away from us. Yet both times the cigarette smoke blew into us, which was absolutely disgusting. There were other places further away he could have walked to smoke, but he did not. Suffice to say I will not be back. I'll stick with Dryft.

I would expect the outdoor space would come in handy once the weather warms up. Conveniently located right off of Seaport Blvd. surrounded by some other good food and dessert options. Lots of parks in the area, including Fan Pier Park, which offers some spectaculay views of the Boston Skyline...particularly after dark. Metered Street Parking was actually manageable, especially in the later post 6-pm midweek hours in the Fort Hill Square Area. Meters are in effect through 8pm with a 2-hour maximum, so if you arrive after 6pm and feed the meter until 8pm, you are all set for the night! The South Station (Red) T Station is also nearby. I got 5 oz pours of all of their IPA's and was in heaven. The Really Big Bird and Galaxy Cutting Ties were amongst my favorites. I wanted to try multiple stouts but unfortunately most of their pastry stouts were not on tap. They were only in 18.5-ounce bottles so I could only order one. I got the Macaroon Macaroon, which was a collab with Veil Brewing in Richmond VA (another phenomenal brewery that I have been to). It was dessert in a glass. I had the lady friend with me, or I would have opened and closed this place that or passed out in the corner. I was in heaven. She ordered some spinach and artichoke dip but I don't remember it. It was filler as far as I was concerned. This place isn't about the food; it's about their amazing beer.
