Nice place, first time here. Old Tiki Island spot. We got way to much food, but that's common at Asian restaurants. I got a sushi roll. It was fresh & good. We got a pu pu platter for 1, MO shi chicken, beef & pepper, chicken lo mein. Took a lot home but every thing was good. We will be back.

We're always looking for a go-to spot for Chinese. This place does the standard American Chinese food staples well. Pork fried rice was tasty and fresh though on the greasier side. Boneless spare ribs were well cooked, not dry. The teriyaki beef had a kick of curry which was nice. The chicken wings were just ok. They could use more time in the fryer for better color and some needed crispiness. Service was friendly.

The crab rangoons were the highlight of the meal with a great balance of light pastry and filling! The main dishes were also great

I love this place. I've tried many dishes here and I haven't had a bad one yet. General Gau, Sesame Chickecn, Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Beef Fried Rice, Egg Roll, Lo Mein, all have been fantastic. Everything is fresh and you don't get that awful feeling sometimes after you eat Chinese. I've tried Chinese food from different places in the area and this is my favorite. It's a fairly new place so inside has been remodeled and they have a nice bar if you want to sit at the bar. The staff is always very friendly and greets you with a smile. Can't recommend this place enough. It's my go to place for Chinese.

Everything was hot and fresh ! But the only issue was the waiter finally brought the noddles that we ordered after we finished the rice and general gao chicken ... I told him it was a little late ... he did not want to remove it from the bill so I took it to go

We did a take out at this restaurant today and were pleasantly surprised. we have never been the biggest fans of the other Ho Win but decided to give the one a try. The food came out very quickly and was delicious! The sushi rolls tasted fresh and did not fall apart. The place is slightly on the pricier side but we got a lot of food for our money. My "test dish" for any Chinese restaurant is salt and pepper calamari- easy to make ... but very easy to screw up too:) The calamari was up to par. Definitely will be back to check out their Mongolian lamb and the drinks everyone is talking about;)

We had a big gathering at Ho Win Palace. Thanks to the wonderful manager, Raymond Wu, we had a wonderful meal and a ton of fun. The food were just excellent. Raymond was wonderful, treated us as VIPs. Shout out to our wonderful bartender, Kiki too. Her drinks were delicious. We had our own room with karaoke. We had a blast. Thank you Raymond.

The new Tiki Island is now Ho Win Palace. Ho Win is a big win. It's wicked clean and remodeled very nicely and has a more yuppified look. Admittedly though, I really miss the "old school" look of nostalgic kitschy and cheesy Oriental-theme decor and red pleather booths, etc. But I am Zen with their efforts to update this place. Kudos. The bar is very extensive, and it's stocked with lots of everything -six rows deep of Woodford and many more boozes. They even have a bottle of Louis XIII Cognac front and center and all sorts of fun paraphernalia like a shot-glass Ferris wheel and much more. Classic New England libations are available on the drink menu including the ever-essential Blow Jobs and Woo-Woos. Hats off for this attention to our New England favorites! Service is attentive, prompt and friendly AF. The menu is "the usual" -quite extensive and includes the de rigueur Subgums, Moo Shoes, Kow Pangs, etc. We ordered two Mai Tai to start. Admittedly, they were good and well-presented but were in a tall glass and so they were very unboozy tasting and quite sure they contained only the Massachusetts state-law amount of booze and no more. They do have many types of phun glasses and Tiki mugs for each type of drink. Kudos for that. We ordered 'Goons which were good but I actually prefer a greasier 'Goon but that's just my pref. Moey ordered the Singapore Noodles and I got the Three Delight Kung Pow. Her dish was pissah and she loved it. My Kung Pow was very good and copius but again I prefer the more "old school" Kung Pow which is greasier and more ghetto. Again, this is just my pref. The food here leans towards a slightly more "gourmet" style. I also dig the Ho Win Palace monogram dishware. It's highly Festivus and adds a touch of class and shows that they don't cut no corners. I also got a Hot n' Sour Soup. It was wicked good and was thermally wicked hot which is a big plus. I've experienced cold/tepid soup commonly at many places and it's a big no bueno and speaks volumes about caring or lack thereof. Most importantly, it had the apropos woodear 'shrooms (NOT the Pennsylvania 'shrooms which has become the "new normal" but is unacceptable not to mention wicked unauthentic -and done so to simply save expense). Six bucks was quite reasonable for this good-sized and quality soup. Kudos, again... I will be back to Ho Win Palace. I wanna sample more phood and get a Blow Job too. Thank you, Ho Win, for doing a great job on this new Palace! Kudos!

Kung Pai chicken with beef teriyaki. Lunch special. $13 plus tax.

We ordered drinks and it kind of took some time. Once we got them, I noticed why it took long to get the drinks. This place caters to being more on the aesthetics. The drinks were great and beautifully decorated! That was a PLUS! Other than that, the food was okay. Nothing really special. They dress everything up really nice and make it photo worthy. So if you're looking to spruce up your social media with some nice photos of food and drinks, then this is your place! Overall, I'd give them a 7/10.

I got the cocktail that I think on the menu it said their would be sparklers or something with the presentation, so I guess I got my hopes up. A lot of their social media videos had bubbles, smokes, fire, sparklers, but my drink just came with smoke. It still looked pretty good, and tasted nice. The menu is huge. You can do a more 'Chinese style' dinner by sharing large entree items or you can get your own combo plate. I got the combo plate with 2 crab rangoons and general tso chicken. Food is pretty basic (well I did choose something basic haha). I've been here once around 8 years ago before they renovated to become this more modern Asian style. I must say its interesting what they've done to the place, they definitely have more business than before. But honestly it just feels like everything is for show, food is alright.

We are not that far from Medford and it took over 45 minutes to get there (traffic was crazy!) and we were running late. I called and they were super nice and said they could hold the table for 10 minutes (we were running 5 minutes behind our reservation) and not to stress out. When we got there, they were hopping! I am sure they get a lot of pre-show people because before I could even say we had to be out of there by 7, she asked if we were going to the show and assured us we would be out way before then. My hubby and decided to go the tapas route (which is basically the majority of their menu) and it was AWESOME! We started with the Queso Fundido. I am not a chirozo fan but the hubby is so I thought I would give it a try. It worked very well with the cheese and did not over power it. We moved on to the Cheviche Amarillo, Plantano Macho stuffed with beef, and Pollo Mole. All were perfect and just the right amount of food. I think my favorite was the Cheviche which was a white fish with sweet potato. The "sauce" was a citrusy topping and so light - did not detract from other flavors. Really all three were delicious. We also tried the flan because it looked so good coming out. Fair warning that I am not a flan person but it looked so yummy. Again, it was better than I have had but still not a fan - hubby on the other had devoured it with pleasure. It is a great location as well, and the space was very cheery, clean and despite being super busy we were not on top of each other - super worth the trip!

I got the margarita de la casa with salt, it was your classic margarita, but I liked it. Smaller size. For food, we started with the tamal with pork mole, which was really tasty, and fresh. Only one per order though, at $12 a piece. The size wasn't huge either. I then ordered the arroz del mar. It was creamy rice mixed with calamari, shrimp, and octopus. I was expecting more of a cream sauce but it was more like a watery broth, with a kick. It was spicy but tolerable. I liked the flavors but it didn't hit my craving. My boyfriend got the pollo con mole which he liked but I don't think he was crazy about it. I was still hungry so we ordered the plantano macho with beef. This stuffed plantain was good, I liked the cheese on it. But again, small size.. I will say I didn't know it was tapas style until we overheard the waitress tell another table. It makes sense in hindsight but we were quite hungry and this might have deterred us from coming. Portions were small even for tapas style. I saw a group and I'm not sure how they managed without ordering a surplus of food. I overheard them order at least 7 tacos...one per order... Strong flavors and fresh ingredients, I would say that. I think this is an elevated experience for food and it was a pleasant experience, but I wouldn't rush back because I don't think the portions were worth it even for tapas style.
