I came here as result of seeing the many instagram ads. To my surprise upon arrival, it was where an old favorite of mine used to be: SushiWave. I loved sushiwave growing up so i had reasonable expectations. The service was poor and un attentive. The ayce option with only rolls was priced on the higher side. The food was absolutely disgusting. My partner and I couldnt finish 80% of the food. We have never hated our experience at any all you can eat sushi place. This was a first. i want to preface this and say I never leave reviews... this experience has been honestly the WORST dining experience i have ever had in my entire life and i'm not even exaggerating. I took my girlfriend out to try their AYCE $40 sushi and we were so dissatisfied. the first thing you notice when walking in is the lack of staff there to seat you, they have one active waitress managing all the tables making the order times slower and leaving us unattended, 3 round limit on the orders which is alright i guess but other places nearby don't have that rule so I'd recommend any other one of those places alone. Next was the order. We got the appetizers, the premium products that were limited, and ordered our first round of fish. TELL ME WHY they fucked up our order 4 different ways. First they forgot our seaweed salad, then forgot our tuna, then gave us 2 instead of 4 bluefin tuna, and they ran out of one of their appetizers!! That was 4 mistakes in just the very first round... We decided to give benefit of the doubt and just enjoy the food, who wants to eat sushi in a bad mood?! The avacado appetizer was good and lifted our hopes but then we tried everything else and it was incredibly mid. The bluefin tuna wasn't that great, the rice was overportioned (as most ayce sushi places do which is fine wtv) but also just weirdly textured. the salmon wasn't hitting at all, I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A SUSHI SPOT WHERE THEIR SALMON WAS GARBAGE. so that was a first. then round 2 comes and they FUCK UP AGAIN. they switched our 6 and 10 so they gave us 4 extra pieces of a fish we didn't order and shorted us on 4 pieces we wanted. They forgot another order of seaweed salad we placed, forgot our soybean appetizer, and there's something else that i can't remember rn but holy shit we felt so terrible having to talk to the waitress to correct our order but i can't even believe that's possible, we ORDERED ON A PIECE OF PAPER, u can literally verify what we placed it's not even like verbal communication. horrible. then the chef tried to make an excuse for himself and say he didn't wanna give us the order that we marked lightly in pencil (when we could scribble over it if it was an accident) but wtv i guess that's a reason... UNTIL I LOOK AT OUR OTHER NUMBERS CLEARLY WRITGRN IN BOLD PENCIL THAT HE STILL FORGOT. don't try to blame us for your incompetence. waitress was nice, again we felt really bad and i've never written a bad review anywhere even at places that might've deserved it but this place really did it for me. there are so many other good sushi spots nearby for better prices, better quality fish, and better service. i can't believe this is a $40 meal i just think about that every time i see good food in my area, like wow i could've had that instead. I will never forget my expierence here at koyi sushi and not in the good way. please if you value your sanity stay the hell away from this terrible establishment, they need to get their shit together read more

I have been here three times now and never had a bad experience. The fish cuts are smaller than your average sushi restaurant but it's AYCE and the give you little rice in the nigiri which is great because you can eat more that way. For the price you get what you pay for, they have a good selection of cut rolls and baked roles and the quality is very fair. It's definitely a hole in the wall so when you walk in it's not like wow this place is nice but it's worth every penny you will leave there full. Also remember the nigiri orders are 1 pc unlike most places where you get 2 pcs so make sure if you want 10 pcs that's what you mark on the sheet. read more

We stumbled upon this place by chance and are so glad we did! We skipped the all-you-can-eat option and ordered nigiri instead, which was incredibly fresh and delicious. The Lemon Flush Roll was another standout - flavorful and worth trying. A special thank you to our server, Nazanin. She was so sweet, welcoming, attentive, and absolutely gorgeous. Her warm personality made the experience even more enjoyable, and she provided excellent service throughout our meal. IMO best AYCE sushi in the OC. The fish to rice ratio is crazy it's like 3:1! The place isn't huge so I recommend coming early if possible as there isn't a ton of seating. The price is fair $40 for ayce and they include 1 order of their specialty items like bluefin tuna, seared giant scallops. Personally I really really enjoyed their butter shrimp and salmon sushi. read more

We tried Koyi Sushi after watching an Instagram reel about all the various rolls and fish on the menu! The restaurant is relatively small with almost entirely indoor seating including a sushi bar and standard booths and tables. When we were there, one server managed the customers while two chefs worked behind the bar, so this made service a little slow sometimes. The menu itself has some pretty decent items but nothing that really blew our socks off: our favorites were by far the magnolia roll, cajun tuna sushi, burrito roll, salmon, eel, and baked green mussels! We also tried the salmon skin salad, samurai roll, shrimp sushi, tuna sushi, albacore sushi, and several other rolls. I enjoyed our visit here, but I wouldn't say the fish quality and service were worth the price we paid for AYCE ($38.95 per person). read more

A pretty good deal for their lunch happy hour. But expect the mediocre freshness of some things. The service can be more improved, they're a little clueless about the menu. The rice is also a little questionable. I don't think they used Japanese sushi rice for it, it's just me. But two stars for the lunch deal. But it definitely fills the stomach. My husband and I came here for weekday AYCE lunch and were impressed by the food quality, flavors, and service. Though the restaurant doesn't have much seating, we only had to wait a few minutes for them to clean a table and seat us. Our food came out fast and I got to have my favorites like calamari, eel handrolls, and salmon nigiri. The mango salad was also tasty. We noticed that although the rules state they will charge for excess food, the waitress was kind not to charge a group of teenage boys next to us who over-ordered and were so terrified that they couldn't finish their food. TLDR: Waited an hour for no sushi order + rude waitress Really disappointing experience as we were excited to try the sushi based on a recommendation. $40 AYCE PP. The evening already started off on a bad note as there doesn't seem to be an organized waitlist system -- they seat parties based on whoever arrives first but we were seated after a party that came later despite having the same number of people... After waiting around 15 minutes, we were seated and started ordering what we wanted. Our waitress was busy handling other tables so we had to ask another waiter on 2 separate occasions for water cups, plates, utensils, etc. He seemed confused why our table wasn't prepared adequately. Our first appetizers finally arrived after 30 minutes which included the edamame, some tempura/dumplings, and takoyaki. The portions were tiny but good. Fast forward another 15 mins and the baked salmon roll had arrived which tasted subpar as the rice was incredibly mushy. After waiting another 15 minutes, we asked our waitress if we could just pay for what we had eaten and leave as no one had checked up on us and our order. It had been an HOUR since we were seated and no sushi rolls except one had been served. The sushi chef let us know to wait ten more minutes while he got started on our order, basically letting us know he forgot to make our food. We let our waitress know that we refused to wait any longer and to charge us for what was already served to which she replied with a snotty tone that other places will have longer wait times and rolled her eyes. The sushi chef was kind enough to comp our meal after this disaster, but the waitress left a bad taste in our mouth. Won't be coming back here. read more

Our waitress was amazing and our food came really quick. We got some burrito sushi items and they were delicious. I really love fresh rolls so I ordered a bunch of them as they usually don't ever taste wrong. There was a bitter taste to them that isn't listed in the menu and our waitress told us it's a mustard sauce. It really ruined the taste of the rolls and maybe it could be listed in the menu in the future. I'm only rating the fresh rolls I had. One of my biggest pet peeves about certain sushi joints is the rice is too cold. Koyi rice temperature on the rolls were on point and I was so happy. Thank you for getting the basics correct. Happy Friday finally decided to get out of my comfort zone and try a different sushi place typically go in Huntington but decided to go a little further south hoping to find better sushi unfortunately we stumbled upon Koi, which is misspelled but that's OK. I'm assuming based off the fact that none of the servers had ever actually tried the rolls at the place themselves, and we're serving sushi that could've been a big red flag from the beginning unfortunately I've already ordered the soda so at this point it was too late to walk out. They continued to explain that there was a limit and if we had any leftovers and after either stuff them down my throat or I'd have to pay for it in any event for 80 bucks there's so many better places to have a sushi buffet. This is definitely not one of them especially when you find chicken wings on the menu and when they serve them they're raw so unfortunately I wasn't fond of this place and I may never go back but if you like chicken wings and you've got time to burn, you can send them back and they taste OK. read more

The server checked on me a few times ensuring if I needed anything. Since I sat at the bar, the sushi chefs were also making conversations with me. Foods: Their fish was fresh, smooth, and delicious! I absolutely enjoyed everything! I saw they're most popular for the Lemon Peppered Salmon. I can agree, now I know why it's so popular. My favorite rolls are the Mango Salmon special roll. No. Only sushi and rolls and some appetizers. But the sushi are made generously well because the fish portion is large and the rice portion is small, reasonable and definitely not overwhelmingly filling.

The music was all Japanese pop music! I ordered the inaka soba. Our server helpfully advised me that it was conventional soba--rather than a broth, it came in a sweet-savory sauce. I never tried inaka soba before (not even in rural Japan), so I had to try it. The first surprise was the noodles. They were thinner than what I normally get, but clearly freshly made. They were chewy and hearty. Both my mom and I were surprised by the shiitake mushrooms because they were simmered in a sweet bath. I couldn't place the taste. Maybe mirin with less salt or soy sauce than usual? Overall, the mix of grated daikon, sesame seeds, finely shredded nori, dried bonito flakes, green onions, and egg was a nice classical Japanese mix of flavors, and the wasabi added a nice spike. As our server said, it was a sweet-savory sauce that wasn't too sweet. The experience was kind of like the mazemen that is trending right now. It's not a place to linger over conversation with friends anyway, because they limit you to 90 minutes at your table. One big bonus for Meiji Seimen: parking is easy. Some minor things. I was a little disappointed that they wanted you to use your cell phone to look at the menu. The print on the phone was tiny, and I couldn't zoom in. It got slightly bigger when I rotated my phone, but then you see less of the menu at once. They did have old print menus on hand, which were easier to see. The space was very small, and because they were so busy the staff were always walking through with trays of food in the narrow space between tables. We are small people and don't need a walker, but I wonder how the experience might be for people who need more space to walk. And then there was the noise level. It's rare that I want to visit a place again right away, but I'm eager to try the other dishes Meiji Seimen has to offer!

Nigiri is very tiny. Rolls are generous however filled with a lot of imitation crab and sauce. I placed a Togo order online through the raku sushi website…read more On 6/28/2026, my family and I visited raku sushi, and unfortunately, we encountered several issues. we were met with staff members who were huddled at the front of the restaurant, which was intimidating and unwelcoming. Despite the staff's claim that the restaurant was extremely busy, we observed that it was only approximately 50% full at 4:30 PM, and our order had been submitted at 4:10 PM. We were initially informed that we would need to wait 10 minutes by a female staff member, but upon calling again at 4:40 PM, we were told to wait an additional 10 minutes by that same female staff member, at this point the restaurant appeared to be at full capacity. I'm not sure if everyone was dining in or waiting for their to go order. The service we received was unsatisfactory, as my family was ignored and subjected to rude remarks under the breath of one of the female staff members, who said, "Take me outta here." This behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect the level of service one would expect when paying for an expensive meal. I am not dining here for free... and the staff acts like they are paying out of their own pocket to buy me a meal. Furthermore, when my daughters went inside the restaurant a second time, they were informed of the extended wait time. The sushi we received was poorly assembled and had wasabi all over the rolls. My daughter doesn't like wasabi on her rolls and raku sushi has never done that before. Typically there's a barrier between the food and wasabi like a green leaf. This seemed to be an act of retaliation for our complaints. Additionally, I was hung up on the phone during a follow-up call by an employee named nick, which is highly unprofessional. Kevin was kind enough to take my message and give my request to upper management. This incident is not isolated, as I have experienced similar issues in the past, although they were not as severe when I was the one waiting alone. However, the treatment my family received was unacceptable, and I am left questioning why our presence was deemed a burden on wait staff during a period of supposed busyness. customers should receive respect NO MATTER HOW "BUSY" THE RESTAURANT IS. I hope people stop coming here until management recognizes an issue with their wait staff.

Crisp seaweed. Ask for it even if you don't see it on the menu. - #2 Sushi Combo (3.5/5) Perfectly fine if you don't want to deal with choosing fish but I wouldn't order again since I didn't like half the fish (especially the regular tuna was very standard/basic without much flavor). I would order 4 plates of beef belly and 4 plates of brisket and they would only bring 2 of each. Which is a pretty disappointing. The service is good and wait staff were pretty attentive. Ambiance is nice but a little dark. I might go back but as of right now I will still pay a little more for other places that have more selections.
