I've been coming here for years. It has been awesome. This last time may have just been me, but the only thing edible was the hibachi. I used to love their sushi. This time not so much. The fish did not taste fresh to me this time. Even at the hot food portion the broccoli in the broccoli and chicken was inedible. The service was great though. They were very attentive to my needs. Mainly refilling my drink and taking away the food I could not eat. Didn't say anything to me really, but hey nothing really to say to me. The decor definitely needs an update. The ambiance there seems a bit dated. I could use a glow up for sure add a bit more lighting to it. Freshen the view up. Plus take down the printed signs in the dining room that discourage people from dining there. It paints the restaurant in a negative light and it is just tacky. They could of had a bad day with the food and truthfully I hope that's all it is. Another suggestion I would do is get rid of the buckets of ice cream and get a soft serve dispenser. That way you don't have all the people's hands reaching into the ice cream buckets. Again I haven't written the place up, but I do hope that they'll do some updates and fix the food. read more

We've driving diving by this place for quite a while & finally made it there for dinner! I am a picky eater (unlike my husband), so the hibachi option caught my attention. The restaurant is very nice looking and seems to be clean. The decor is very fitting for this type of restaurant. Service was really good. Plates were cleared quickly and drinks were always refilled when needed. Food was really good! My negatives are few, but they're nothing big. By husband said some of the buffet items were not hot, but they seemed to be refilling and swapping out food regularly, so he figured it was just bad timing in his part. Very happy with the wontons. The hibachi was good, especially after learning how it works. However, it is a small grill and the cook was loading too much on, or couldn't keep track of the food. My second helping ended up on a plate mixed with someone else's food. I didn't have any meat and he had like 3 types of meat, so I was not interested in it. We will definitely be back. If I could give it a -5 I would. This buffet is unappealing, they have really not taken care of this restaurant and that is sad. The food was COLD, no flavor, we were sat in the back room and there was a horrible odor of mildew or must that was just so bad my appetite went away. As I went to the restroom I passed by a "kitchen area" and let me tell you, it is NOT clean, like put a curtain or a door if you don't want your customers to vomit because of the filth, the restroom doors, floors well everything was just dirty like it had not been wiped down in months. This is a restaurant, how can one anyone WORK like that and two EAT there. On top of that, the server was seen once and I waited a good 10 minutes before I had enough with the stench from that room, I had to go up to the front to pay. Was having a girls day and my bestie wanted a Chinese buffet. I have not found a buffet I like in years! But this was recommended. I'll start by saying the staff were nice. Nothing really stood out and this seems like it's a one and done for me. The buffet had a lot of options but all the food I tried was just eh. They had quite a few seafood dishes which my friend enjoyed I'm not big on seafood myself but she said they were ok. They have a sushi station and a hibachi type make your own plate station where you pick the toppings and a chef will cook it. I didn't try either of them. They had a lot of written signage all around the restaurant which was kind of overwhelming to me because I am the type that if there is a sign I feel like I have to know what it says because I feel like if it's a sign it's important. read more

I've come to this place for years through all the name changes. This current experience was fabulous. All the food was fresh and the employees were constantly replenishing the trays. The sushi was so delicious and I loved the assortment. My friend (who has never had sushi) was thankful of the employees directing her toward the cooked ones. The restaurant was clean. This used to be my most favorite Chinese buffet. The greeter was very nice - she put us back in a room with noone else in it - we were looking for a half booth. After that, I should have left this buffet as a great memory. Sushi was excellent. That's where it stopped. Not one item on the Buffet was even warm. It was like the staff didn't want to get rid of anything at the end of the day - they could just put it back on ice for the next day. I see a lot of bad reviews on here but trust me when I say that this place is SOOO good if I could I would come here everyday, I love love love it. Maybe people that have gone to like very fancy and expensive sushi places won't agree with me but it really is so good. I recommend getting the teriyaki chicken and the fried sushi's (I believe that's what they're called) . The service is also good, but not wow, it's just average but at they do treat you nicely. Lastly, the ambiance is nice, they have a koi fish pond near the entrance and it's very pretty they also have some decoration on some parts of the ceiling (I don't know what they're called and I don't wanna call them the wrong name) the lighting is also pretty soft, I suppose you could call it dim but it not super dark either. Arrived at 8pm last night. They close at 8;45. As soon as you arrive they tell you there's no more fresh food and what's left is all you can have. And you have to prepay and they charge gratuity. The food is very good and the place itself is very clean, and the drink specials are also favorable. The only things that I would complain about is the fact that there's only one polite hostess the rest are rude, and the servers are very rude. I asked my server to grab a cup of hot water for me, and she complained that I already had a hot cup of water to clean my fork, but when I asked for another one and explained it, she walked away while I was talking. they don't introduce themselves. My family has been traveling 45 minutes just to eat at this Asian buffet for years! It's the best spot in Orlando thanks to the variety of foods. I always recommend making a hibachi plate right away! There are noodles, meats(shrimp,chicken,beef), veggies, and all to make your perfect hibachi plate. You can even choose what sauce they use and if you'd like to add fresh garlic or hot sauce to the cooking. While the chef is grilling your food, you can go make a plate of hot food or grab a sushi plate. The sushi bar hands down has the best sushi buffet. The chefs are constantly refilling the rolls on the buffet so it never runs out. You can also add eel sauce or spicy Mayo on the rolls yourself. As for hot food, they had maybe 4-5 soup options. We opted for the hot and sour soup which was so delish! They also had an area with American food and fried foods like fries and crab Rangoon's. They also had dim sum along with Asian dishes like green beans. There are just so many options I can't even name them all. This buffet never disappoints. If you're at wekieva springs or just craving a good Asian buffet, make the drive and come out here! read more

You do have a lot to choose from, but my favorite items like ribs and wings and Mei Fun were cold and old. My wife had the Hibachi grill. She told me her noodles tasted burnt like the grill had not been cleaned. She did not even finish her plate. Never disappointed here as the food is consistently hot and refreshed and we like the selection of Chinese hot foods and sushi. They have beef choices at dinner and lots of seafood like large shrimp and crab. Sushi chefs are always present making fresh rolls and sashimi. On Fathers Day they included delicious snow crab legs at the buffet which we really appreciated. I remember visiting and the place would be well-kept...other times.. the restaurant would just smell wet and moldy (gross, I know). My last visit was just an "okay" experience. The place is looking reeeeallly rundown. They need new tables and chairs. The chair cushions were all beat up and torn. The food was just so-so. Not terrible, just not that great. I ordered a hot tea and what was brought out to me was a teapot with water that was just above luke warm. What's up with that? My kids are easy to please so they enjoyed every aspect of their dining experience. They typically enjoy the lo mein and the over abudance of crawfish. Koy Wan has long been a favorite haunt - but no more. While it has been slowly declining over the last couple of years, today was the last straw. They insisted that we customers wear face masks and gloves at the buffet, yet the grill chef and the employee refilling food pans were wearing neither masks nor gloves. I'm not into masks to begin with - but don't make the customers wear them if the employees are not doing so. The tables did not appear to have been cleaned since the previous guests. When I pointed out to our waitress that the table still had drink and food spills, she moved us to another one - which was actually worse than the first one. Even the napkin dispenser was filthy with greasy finger prints bits of food. Glue residue from the little "don't waste food" notes they tape on the table tops was also trapping food crumbs, and who knows what else. I asked for a wet cloth with which to clean the table, but she just stood there arguing about the tape, so I finally wiped it down with a napkin. The COVID protocols certainly do not make sense if you are not going to bother cleaning the dining room. And I would much prefer a clean table & chairs. The food was nowhere near as good as it has been all these years. Beef was a lower quality and tasteless. The flimsiest plastic utensils ever manufactured (metal forks & knives are gone) along with styrofoam plates replacing the sturdy stoneware dishes put the finishing touch on an already terrible experience. So long Koy Wan. Will miss what you once were. read more
