I called my parents up and told Mami to get ready as I was picking her up to get some Chinese food by her side of town. She had been asking for some from this new place which still has not opened up yet so I told her we would go to the spot they will once in a bit get dinner from. It was early evening so we drove down, stepped in and placed an order of the shrimp lo mein ($10.25), a pint of chicken lo mein ($7.25) for my brother since he can't eat shrimp, a large boneless ribs order ($10) and crab rangoons ($6). They were all quickly prepared and back to my parents home we went. The shrimp lo mein was decent with tiny shrimp and not too many veggies, the noodles could have been a bit more flavorful. The boneless ribs ($10) were a touch tough and so were the rangoons though that happens to fried dough. It has been a few hours since the meal and the slight aftertaste remains in my mouth which I am not loving. The lady was quick when taking our order and their service was good.

Decent local Chinese, food is always piping hot and made to order. Anything can be altered to your spice preference. I recommend this spot over others across the street for sure. One of the best egg rolls. Great affordable prices and large portions. BEWARE: they are CLOSED on Tuesdays.

Supposedly, how special fried rice with ham!

lowering my rating to 2 stars: For what I used to pay 16.50 somehow magically it's $20 charge to 3.50 for house special and $1 ham I don't see none of those ingredients in my rice maybe one tiny piece of chicken and one tiny piece of pork. I've been here for years, lately I've been getting ripped off. And taken advantage of. The flavor is good but the service is going to shit! I overpaid I'm disappointed. I know a place where my whole meal is $14 with more than enough ingredients and taste way better. I'm going to start going over there.! Sad because I used to consider this place almost 5 stars! Last time I paid one dollar extra pork, they gave me last pork! This is stealing.

Excellent lunch deals! Not too salty which is greatly appreciated. Lunch choice entree, and egg roll or soup and a soda! Fed me lunch and dinner. Friendly staff. Carry out only of course.

I haven't written a review in a long time but I had to show support after ordering here. The chicken broccoli I got for a lunch special was perfect, not only that but the portion was huge and the service was great. I've had chicken broccoli from 2 other local Chinese food spots and not only were the portions smaller than at First Choice, but they tasted off too. This chicken broccoli that I got here was a 10/10.

Lately there has been a lack of good New York style Chinese takeout food in the east Orlando area and places that were once good took a serious nosedive. While there are very good places like Chuan Lu Garden offering a great more upscale Asian food experience, the typical Chinese takeout spot has seemingly all but disappeared. This has had me seeking a good New York style Chinese takeout place and trying the various local options. This restaurant is located in a mall anchored by a Publix supermarket and it is rather plain on the outside a bit run down on the inside. While I awaited my Chinese food, my attention was drawn to a group of four machines, one with gumballs, the other three with cheap trinkets and found myself wondering how old those gumballs actually were. But I digress... So, onto the food... I wish I could say it was good. I also wish wishes came true. Fifty dollars for takeout for four of us and there was nothing good about it. My daughter and I split an order of steamed dumplings. This might have been the worse out of all of our offerings. It tasted like the dough was not fully cooked. It was also bland, which was the one consistent throughout this meal. Bland. The egg roll was terrible. The curry chicken was bland. I upgraded to a fried rice for $2.00 and the rice was dry and, like everything else, bland. The only thing that was halfway decent was the wanton/egg drop mix soup. My search for good New York style Chinese takeout continues.

Super oily eggplant in garlic sauce
    Enit S.

Well, this wouldn't be my first choice I'll say that right off the bat. The people working there were unfriendly and looked miserable. I ordered the eggplant in garlic sauce and it was an oily mess (see pic) it had good flavor but why was it drowning in oil? At least the vegetable fried rice was good. When I got home there was no fork, no soy or duck sauce packets in my bag; I was surprised to find a fortune cookie. I'd be reluctant to go back just cause the eggplant was so oily, leads me to believe everything else probably is too.

The staff kindly packed up our leftovers for us, but when I got home and opened the bag, I realized some of the untouched dishes weren't included. It was a bit of a bummer since we were looking forward to enjoying them later. Even with that hiccup, the food was outstanding and definitely worth the visit. It's clean, if not a little outdated. There are huge shelves around the windows with plants, art, and lights. You can see there's been a lot of water damage to the shelves. The menu has a nice selection. We ordered the lobster platter, scallops, red snapper, and the sea bass. The sea bass was the best! The red snapper was a close second. We ordered it Szechwan style. The lobster was a strong third. It wasn't prepared in a way that I'm used to, or how I expected it to be, but it was good. My friend said it was the best lobster he'd ever had. The scallops were in last place. They were pretty tasteless. Some of them were "dirty"; you know when you don't clean your seafood really well and get some grit in your teeth when eating it... So, I wouldn't order those again. We also had a nice sake, white wine, and whiskey. The service was a little slow- not very attentive, but they were very nice. The bill came to a little over $300 for the four of us. The only leftovers was the lobster. It was quite a large amount. Pretty reasonably priced menu. Definitely will cure your seafood cravings.

Ordered Jumbo Shrimp Pan Fried Noodle here $16.95 takeout. While waiting for the food. I was asking the gal behind the cash register if they have been busy lately with the Chinese BBQ and she stated this past weekend they were really busy. I then told her it's because Kai Kai owners left Kai Kai and sold it maybe to another owner but they no longer run Kai Kai. So as the conversation passes she told me - The Crispy pork they cook there is NOT ROASTED but FRIED. It was brought up because i was telling her a few people have said kai kai fell off as far as taste in the bbq / meats. So then I said yes the skin part is not crispy like how you guys do it. So she mentioned she wondered why they have been busy with Chinese BBQ meats as of lately. I ordered the $4.95 boba smoothie (mango) as a refresher because it is hot outside - For the price it is not bad I think they use mango puree as the base. The dishes here are delicious. This is why I keep coming back.

These legends welcomed our whole crew with zero wait like it was just another Tuesday--talk about VIP service. Now let's talk food. First up, the tofu and veggie stir-fry--a glorious mix of crispy tofu cubes with perfectly sautéed broccoli, carrots, and bok choy in a savory brown sauce that hugged every bite like a warm hug from a Chinese grandma. The beef with broccoli? Tender, flavorful, and bathed in rich umami goodness. Honestly, if I could bottle that sauce, I'd put it on everything--maybe even my cereal (don't judge). The Honey Walnut Shrimp was love at first crunch. Perfectly crispy shrimp in a creamy, sweet glaze topped with candied walnuts and nestled on a bed of fresh steamed broccoli. This dish was the Beyoncé of the table--everyone wanted a piece. Those crispy, golden Shrimp Ball Fritters? Imagine a crunchy sea urchin made of joy. Light, airy, and addictive--basically the potato chip of appetizers. The pan-fried dumplings were thick, juicy, and had the perfect crispy sear. No sad, soggy dumplings here. Then came the crispy duck--dark, rich, and bursting with deep roasted flavor. It had that satisfying crunch you want, and the meat melted in your mouth. A must for meat lovers. But the real MVP? Those soup dumplings. Steamy little flavor bombs that explode in your mouth like a culinary fireworks show. Served in their own mini tins like royalty--juicy, delicate, and impossible to eat just one. The table went silent the second they landed. That's how you know it's real. With quick service, huge portions, and a menu that hits every craving from noodles to dumplings to sizzling plates of joy, Peter's Kitchen China Bistro was the unexpected gem we didn't know we needed. Cozy, authentic, and efficient--this place made our group dinner easy, delicious, and downright memorable.
