Good food and decent pricing. We went today and got two lunch combos which come with eggroll or soup. They were $7.95 each. The fried rice is tasty! I got pork egg foo young and my brother ordered beef with broccoli. I also got an extra eggroll for my husband. They were nice and tasty. I called my parents up and told Mami to get ready as I was picking her up to get some Chinese food by her side of town. She had been asking for some from this new place which still has not opened up yet so I told her we would go to the spot they will once in a bit get dinner from. It was early evening so we drove down, stepped in and placed an order of the shrimp lo mein ($10.25), a pint of chicken lo mein ($7.25) for my brother since he can't eat shrimp, a large boneless ribs order ($10) and crab rangoons ($6). They were all quickly prepared and back to my parents home we went. The shrimp lo mein was decent with tiny shrimp and not too many veggies, the noodles could have been a bit more flavorful. The boneless ribs ($10) were a touch tough and so were the rangoons though that happens to fried dough. It has been a few hours since the meal and the slight aftertaste remains in my mouth which I am not loving. The lady was quick when taking our order and their service was good. read more

Decent local Chinese, food is always piping hot and made to order. Anything can be altered to your spice preference. I recommend this spot over others across the street for sure. One of the best egg rolls. Great affordable prices and large portions. BEWARE: they are CLOSED on Tuesdays. read more

lowering my rating to 2 stars: For what I used to pay 16.50 somehow magically it's $20 charge to 3.50 for house special and $1 ham I don't see none of those ingredients in my rice maybe one tiny piece of chicken and one tiny piece of pork. I've been here for years, lately I've been getting ripped off. And taken advantage of. The flavor is good but the service is going to shit! I overpaid I'm disappointed. I know a place where my whole meal is $14 with more than enough ingredients and taste way better. I'm going to start going over there.! Sad because I used to consider this place almost 5 stars! Food is good. Service is POOR. They forgot our large pepper steak and questioned us when we called to inform them, as if we had somehow misplaced a large container of pepper steak. They refused a partial refund and were unwilling to rectify the issue. The woman I spoke to suggested I make a 30+ minute drive up to pick it up directly at the restaurant. They were argumentative and defensive, offering no resolution. I am highly disappointed at their unwillingness to resolve their error, especially considering their food is alright. read more

Lately there has been a lack of good New York style Chinese takeout food in the east Orlando area and places that were once good took a serious nosedive. While there are very good places like Chuan Lu Garden offering a great more upscale Asian food experience, the typical Chinese takeout spot has seemingly all but disappeared. This has had me seeking a good New York style Chinese takeout place and trying the various local options. This restaurant is located in a mall anchored by a Publix supermarket and it is rather plain on the outside a bit run down on the inside. While I awaited my Chinese food, my attention was drawn to a group of four machines, one with gumballs, the other three with cheap trinkets and found myself wondering how old those gumballs actually were. But I digress... So, onto the food... I wish I could say it was good. I also wish wishes came true. Fifty dollars for takeout for four of us and there was nothing good about it. My daughter and I split an order of steamed dumplings. This might have been the worse out of all of our offerings. It tasted like the dough was not fully cooked. It was also bland, which was the one consistent throughout this meal. Bland. The egg roll was terrible. The curry chicken was bland. I upgraded to a fried rice for $2.00 and the rice was dry and, like everything else, bland. The only thing that was halfway decent was the wanton/egg drop mix soup. First time customer...will be back. Ordered takeout: chicken noodle soup, fried shrimp and vegetable chop suey. Everything was very fresh and tasty, not too salty. The soup was flavorful with a good amount of chewy noodles & white meat chicken and the shrimp was crispy. Turns out, chop suey is not my favorite dish, but no fault of theirs. Well, this wouldn't be my first choice I'll say that right off the bat. The people working there were unfriendly and looked miserable. I ordered the eggplant in garlic sauce and it was an oily mess (see pic) it had good flavor but why was it drowning in oil? At least the vegetable fried rice was good. When I got home there was no fork, no soy or duck sauce packets in my bag; I was surprised to find a fortune cookie. I'd be reluctant to go back just cause the eggplant was so oily, leads me to believe everything else probably is too. read more

Pleasantly surprised! I had a hankering for Orange Chicken today so off to find a local joint that had good reviews was my mission. I'm always alittle nervous when I walk into a place and there's pics associated with menu items posted on the wall but I wasn't going to prejudge this time. While I waited the phone rang off the hook which comforted me in the loyalty of this place. This place is a good 15 min from my home and I made one stop before unpacking the bag and it was still hot. People can talk all the trash about this place but it's pretty good! Coming from a person who grew up in Brooklyn New York, these hole in the wall Chinese places are a common thing. The prices are incredibly cheep 10-15$ enough food to feed 2-3 people and the staff very nice. The ambience is not the greatest but then again the theming is New York style lol Brings me back a lot of memories from my childhood! I'm usually not a fan of your typical Chinese fast food places but they seem to be the best on my side of town. I actually drive 15 minutes just to take advantage of their lunch specials. This location is in a strip mall just like most Chinese places. Every time I've visited it's clean, well lit and the staff is pretty friendly. I usually order the Hunan Chicken which is considered to be a spicy dish but personally I could use a little more spice. Love the fresh veggies! The lunch combos come with your choice of entree, pork fried rice and your choice of either a soda or egg roll. Portion size is pretty big so I usually have left overs. Food is piping hot! I usually get steamed rice because I'm not a fan of most fried rice. On my last visit I forgot to tell them I wanted steamed rice and ended up with the fried rice. I was a little bummed because I expected to see the normal "yellow" fried rice that most Chinese restaurants serve. To my surprise this rice was actually fried rice! It was brown which means they actually used soy sauce! I have to say after I tasted it I wasn't disappointed. It was pretty good and I would get it again. There wasn't a lot of pork present nor was there a lot of veggies either but I was ok with it. I keep seeing other reviews mention the chicken wings. Those are definitely on my radar for next time. I was in the mood for General Tso's chicken, but I don't like mystery meat, which is often used in General Tso's chicken. The cashier told me for $2 I could request white meat, which he said makes it awesome. So I decided to give it a try. Worst choice ever. The chicken was more fluff than chicken. No lie, some of the pieces were just breading with no chicken. To add insult to injury, the sauce was some kind of syrupy mockery of a sauce. I won't make that mistake again. Don't get me wrong. I decided to call to order food because well I need to eat and I wanted to surprise my husband with Chinese food when he gets home (He loves it) I called at 9:45pm and asked for delivery . I realized they were closing at 10pm after I was able to sit down for a minute and finally get to thinking about dinner . So anyways I hear a woman's voice in the background saying "no delivery (muffled)" The woman who answered the phone comes back and says the driver was leaving and they're closing soon so they're not doing delivery ..... What ? I told her I can't leave the house to pick it up or I would . I'm home alone with my kids and they're sleeping for school tomorrow . You seriously can't deliver it ? You're still open (please I work in the food industry I don't mean disrespect) She said no the driver was leaving and she was sorry . I told her that's a shame and hung up Honestly , the driver shouldn't be leaving if you're still open and you offer delivery . Bad management strike 1 Secondly , because you don't put your customers first let alone your business , you lost out on a pretty good sale because I was going to order multiple appitizers and entrees and drinks for me and my husband when he returned home . Bad management strike 2 It's disappointing when people act like this . I would ever order somewhere 5 minutes before close but 15 ? And I didn't purposely order last minute . My son is sick and I've been tending him all night as well as making sure the house is clean , doing my ritual Sunday laundry and making sure my other kids were in bed . You know how you take your first taste of fried rice alone and it's so good you can't stop eating it and forget everything else? Yeaaaa well this isn't it. Needs more flavors, it was a bit bland some of the grains were hard. The chicken and broccoli was good, I was hesitant at first due to the orangey looking color but it was actually good. The broccoli after I turned them weren't as fresh. Still it was good. Now the killer of them all: The egg roll, I had my bad egg rolls in life but this was horrible. It had a bitter taste to it, the outside had a stale taste. I might give it a second chance for the chicken/broccoli and hope I just got batch of not so fresh broccoli. read more

People need to stop complaining so much about this place. First, they are open an extra hour versus other Chinese takeout places. Appreciate that. Secondly, their food is fast, fresh, and at a decent price point for the QUALITY food you get. The shrimp in my Phoenix& Dragon dish were flesh plump jumbo shrimp. This dish is $12-13 including steamed white rice and worth it imo. It is half General Tsp's chicken plus 1/2 shrimp&vegetables. The latter was on a brown sauce (I'm used to it being in a white sauce) but it was good. I appreciated the freshness of the veggies cooked with it. There is only a $1 difference in S and L size fried rices so you might as well purchase the quart size vs the pint size. I noticed this pickup only restaurant had fried wontons for appetizer . Looks like they are stuffed with pork. It's rare to find fried meat wontons on the menu of a Chinese restaurant in general so take advantage of that!!! read more

I've been using first choice Chinese several years. I'm surprised I never wrote a review about it. It is probably the best Chinese food I have found in the area. Portions are very generous. I usually like to get the Moo Shu pork, absolutely delicious. Their dishes usually come with soup, and an egg roll. All very good. In the past when I call and order in, they don't always get it right. It's one of those language things. But you bring it to their attention and they usually take care of it. A word to the wise... I always go to the restaurant, and order in person, when I can. We have used their delivery service also, very good, very kind, and very gracious. Give it a shot some time. read more

This spot in Orlando FL serves amazing special combination plates. I normally order the sweat & sour chicken and the General Tso's chicken from here to have it delivered to my place. It comes with the meat, rice, egg role and soup. The portion of the foods they provide are huge, always leaves me with extra food to pack for the next day and the food is always cooked to perfection. 10/10 will always recommend whenever craving some great and affordable Chinese food. read more
