Walked in - Friday night. Seated right away. Hostess asked what we'd like to drink and got right to getting food right away. So much variety. But we mainly went for the seafood. The salt & pepper crab and shrimp were both a hit. Some of the crab and shrimp were saltier than other pieces. But it was manageable. Wonton soup was good. Family had other things and everyone seemed to finish everything that they grabbed on their plates. From the seafood boil to chicken wings to lo mein. The dessert bar was average. We all ended up with our own little ice cream cup. Sushi was doable. Nephew enjoyed crawdads. The waitress came around and cleared plates and refilled drinks as often as they could. My mom and I like to come here every month or so. Sometimes more often. There is so much variety! Chinese food, American food and sushi too. Fried items (French fries, onion rings, fried shrimp, fried chicken, etc) are plentiful and the options for seafood are diverse. Their hibachi station is wonderful and usually is my favorite. There are several dessert options. Along with fruit, puddings and other dessert they have ice cream too. They have various stations which add to the appeal. The staff is courteous and efficient. The atmosphere is great. There is seating at tables and booths on both sides of the food area and even a larger room towards the back. This time we visited on the weekend. The buffet itself is more expensive on the weekends because they offer more seafood. The server took our drink order and we went to look at the food stations. We both got egg drop soup and chicken broccoli. I got pepper steak, sautéed mushrooms, garlic butter shrimp, ripe plantains, fried rice and green beans. The food was delicious. Some food was better than other choices but that's to be expected. You can't please every palate in a buffet. My mom enjoyed it so much that she decided to purchase a to go container of food to take home. They brought it to her, she didn't want any seafood so she paid less than the normal price and she filled it with the food she wanted. I loved the food. I usually try a lil bit of everything first before getting second. Good selection and the server was really attentive with refilling my drink and asking how everything going. So many options here! The entire Chinese selections are absolutely delicious! I'm not crazy about the sushi rolls but I'll return many times for the Chinese buffet delights! There's also a section of raw, fresh offerings you can choose and the chef will prepare it right in front of you as you wait. Staff is friendly and keeps the tables cleared of used dishes as soon as you clean your plate and head back to the buffet for more mouth watering goodness. Fairly typical Asian buffet. They had all of the standard fare- an assortment of sushi (which actually looked pretty fresh), many different Chinese dishes, fresh fruit, some seafood. The dishes we sampled were all respectable. Standouts were the green beans (!!!), and the pork ribs (meaty and tender). Price was actually rather inexpensive ($17 per adult)! It's wasn't my first time here, but I love it especially when we don't know what we want. There is a lot of variety. We were quickly seated and it wasn't very busy as we came at about 5pm on a Monday. We quickly had our plates and were off to the buffet. What I like about this particular buffet is that there is a made to order hibachi stand where you choose your protein, veggies ands starch to have stir fried fresh with the choices of teriyaki, soy or a spicy sauce or combo. It is the highlight of my visit each time, although the coconut shrimp are also delicious. The restaurant is set up in a typical buffet style joint. Nothing fancy and the table ware and plates are quite worn for the amount of service they have, as they change your plate each time. Very disappointing experience at Sakura Buffet. The food was cold, and there were flies around the buffet and sushi area, which was very unsanitary. The restaurant itself felt dirty and overly dark, with very limited selections. The fruit looked old, the food was greasy, and everything lacked flavor. A great place to go for a variety of just good simple good Chinese food. Fairly new they have a great selection of food to choose from along with a hibachi station to make what you want. They also have a fresh slush section that's pretty good for some simple sushi. The service is great an they are very nice. It's very clean an they have plenty of tables. Christmas Eve i failed at cookie dough. Christmas morning i burned the brioche french toast. Mercury retrograde going strong so not taking chances on Christmas dinner, went out for Chinese food Christmas Day 2023. Having heard positive reviews from friends plus Yelp reviews, I wasn't leery to venture in. This particular evening the parking lot was nearly full yet we lucked out finding parking close to the entry doors. I was pleased with the greetings and friendly attention at the Hostess area. It was a clear view from there to the dining area and buffet sections. Food was fresh, rotated very often. My husband, a very select and picky foodie, said he would come back. Your typical dying Chinese buffet that with every year more and more are closing their doors.... This place offers sushi, hibachi and your typical Americanized sweet Asian dishes, chilled seafood and crawfish boil. The food was actually ok and not bad, most dishes seemed recently cooked and not sitting there all day, I did enjoy the hibachi quite a bit. Service was nice and attentive... S see I why the four stars? Well the staff wore masks but I didn't like how clients were just hovering over the food with out mask and gloves, just raw dogging the buffet with bare hands... also like most typical Chinese place bathrooms were disgusting, smelled and just didn't want to touch anything in there... Tip for the wise, when going to a Chinese buffet always go when they have high traffic times so you know the food is hot and fresh and decent.... There are many varieties of good food here. Just about anything you're looking for from fresh sushi to beef and fish and Asian foods and desserts. Ask for raw oysters, and they'll bring some out. GOT CUT OFF. This was our go to buffet for Chinese, food is decent run of the mill Chinese. They have oysters on the buffet for dinner, which is the reason I personally liked this place. Today, after having roughly a dozen oysters, the Mexican guy that keeps that station stocked arbitrarily decided that was all the oysters I was allowed to eat. I was able to squeeze one more plate out of him, but he just said "no more". I asked where it is documented that there was a limit on oysters, but he no speeky English too well. read more

I am not sure how this buffet has such high reviews as we found the food to be bland, and not fresh. Some of the sushi tasted like it had been made yesterday (tough rice) and the rest of it was several levels below what you can get at Publix. The hot foods also were over cooked or you could taste the frozen taste in things like shrimp. I also felt the buffet areas needed to be wiped down and more attention paid to keeping that area clean.
