I've been to Kravers multiple times before and had great experiences but this time it was bad. My first experience eating here I got the Mahi-Mahi Po' boy and it was the only thing I've only ordered ever since. This time when I ordered it, I was told they don't make the Mahi-mahi Po' boy anymore. This was after the waitress took my order and coming back to tell me this information. At this point I'm confused, but the waitress said they can do it as a basket instead, so I agreed to go with the basket. Once the food arrives with fries, slaw, hush puppies, and two pieces of Mahi-mahi. I'm wondering why the fish isn't in a sandwich if I ordered the basket to get the Po' boy if the waitress told me I can order it as a Po' boy. I ask if I can get it in bread and the waitress walks back to see if she can do something about the order. After she came back to tell me they can bring out the bread and I can put the Mahi-mahi in it but it would cost me extra. At this point I'm getting a little frustrated but agreed to get the bread. It's been about 10-15 minutes and the bread arrives, I had already ate the fries, the hush puppies, and the slaw but the fish had been sitting there getting colder. The waitress was helpful; however, she didn't refill my drink until she brought the bread and I had to ask for the refill. The bread looked like it was toasted with butter on it but there was nothing else to go with it. I was upset and honestly wanted to walk out at this point, the Mahi-mahi Po' boy was the reason I always ate at this restaurant but I don't plan on returning after this experience. The fish was cold/dry, overcooked, and the sweet tea was warm and had no ice after getting it refilled. I would give this a rating of a 1 star but because of my past experiences getting the food from here and the manager being kind to take care of the bill after the situation was explained to him, not to mention he said they do make the Mahi-mahi Po' boy, a 3 would seem fair. The food as usual is very good. The service was awesome. My only complaint is there needs to be better access for handicapped persons, such as myself. You need a grab bar in the men's restroom. I have a below the knee amputation and I nearly fell trying to get on the toilet. I also only saw one or two handicap parking spaces. We had to park on the side. There was also another wheelchair bound older man who couldn't get a handicap space either. Otherwise, keep up the good work. read more

This place is amazing and so was our server Michelle. My husband and I went today for his birthday and all I can say is YUMMY! We had the seafood platter and pick your 3 which was shrimp, crab claws and stuffed crab with fries. We also had the best GUMBO we have ever ate in a restaurant. My hubby said we will never go anywhere else to eat seafood. P.S. We had so much food left we had 2 to go boxes lol read more

I had the catfish basket for lunch which was excellent. The fish was lightly breaded served hot with fries & hushpuppy & slaw. The fish was CATFISH, not that swia thrash - thick flakey moist fillets. Get there early before the lunch crowd. read more

We have eaten here half a dozen times the last couple months and every time it was AMAZING! Marvin was our very first server and we request him every time. The kid seriously rocks it in the personality department. He always has a smile on his face and moves with a sense of urgency. So I would love to give a review of the food.......but we could never get seated. Given it was busy and we had 6 adults and a child but we watched tables of 2,3,4 get seated over and over. I understand seating so that isn't a big issue. However, two parties of five that arrived 30 after us were seated within 2 minutes of each other! Get real. The gumbo & spicy fried tomatoes are best around...we had a party of 33 plus and had called ahead for reservation. .mgmt only put one server Peggy on our party...she did her best to her ability..the kitchen was the problem..the food was awesome but it was coming out one item at a time...adults was eating before children & a fried chicken tender basket was the last item to come out..very very late...these problems was no fault to our server but being ing the restaurant business dor the past 28 yrs mgmt should have made an appearance. .. read more

We love Kravers. It's one of our favorite Sunday dinner spots. The food is always delicious and you can tell it's fresh.

I love the all you can eat shrimp and fish. Being from south Louisiana we grew up eating fried seafood. This is pretty good food. The grilled and blackened shrimp are tasty as well. I will have to say the "spicy" fried shrimp is not spicy at all. The service is always great and they always have a smile. read more

The seasoning on the seafood made me forget where I was. I thought I was the one cooking in the kitchen there. Lol. The experience had a taste of soul in it. Amazing. I wanted shrimp for lunch and asked the waiter which menu item would give me the best shrimp. He recommended the large popcorn basket. I was skeptical because popcorn shrimp is usually tiny. But in this restaurant, popcorn shrimp is the size of normal shrimp! The large comes with about a pound of Shrimp, plus fries, slaw, and hush puppies. I've got to say that was the very best shrimp I've ever tasted. Even on a really busy day, the staff was attentive and kind. They were packed with a line out the door for Father's Day and still made us feel welcome and cared for. I highly recommend Kravers! read more

This is the absolute best local seafood place! Their staff has always been kind and attentive. Their gumbo is consistently delicious. Shrimp (fried and grilled) have always been cooked to perfection. My mother loves the fried flounder. We have a lot of choices when it comes to seafood on the gulf coast but place this is a must! read more

I visited here while in town working. The grilled tuna was great. Additionally, the pricing was very reasonable. The royal reds were spot on. I am originally from Louisiana and picky about seafood. Spacious, lots of room and very clean. The staff is always friendly and fast. They have a room for small parties and the staff is always very helpful during parties. The wait is not too long but long but the food is fresh. The prices are reasonable. It's casual dining and the parking can get crowded. The bathroom is usually taken since there is one for each gender and it is busy. Overall, a good place to eat. read more

Moved my son to the area and was directed here by a Bass Pro Shop employee. This restraunt lived up to and exceeded his description. The slaw is some of the best I ever ate and I wish they had served more. The Seafood Platters filled three very large grown men up WITH food left over. This restaurant is a great choice for family or friends. I ordered a half shrimp poboy and was amazed. The shrimp was piled in a mountainous form that I didn't expect from a family owned off the path restaurant. The price was under $10 for my poboy, fries, and a drink. Food was not bad but certainly not worth returning for. Atmosphere not good tables very close together, styrofoam bowls, plates terrible. Oysters too big and not good. Fried crab claws and shrimp ok. But nothing worth returning for. read more

For me, it was just ok. I paid $15 for about 15 little crab claws and a lot of processed French fries. The shrimp po boy was loaded, though. Maybe I should have tried the gumbo. read more

Wonderful service and food! It's hard to find perfectly cooked "grilled" shrimp but they mastered it. The hush puppies are addicting!

Came in at 2:50 on a Sunday, Father's Day, to enjoy a nice lunch with my family. We were rushed through ordering and were very unimpressed with how much the staff acted annoyed we were there towards the later end of their shifts. I understand we got there a little bit later, but if I am a paying customer why would I be treated as a nuisance rather than turning me away or just correctly serving me? Other customers were turned away even though they were ordering to go AND there were still multiple families still dining. They were out of some main sides and drinks. Overall if you want a half assed staff to "serve" you, begin breaking tables/sauces/kitchen down mid order, and then act surprised when you leave after appetizers because you're not impressed, you have found the perfect place! read more

This is one of my favorites. Great service and very inexpensive. Love the fresh seafood! The gumbo is awesome.
