The food is wonderful! However, my son and husband can't even enjoy something as simple as a French fry or a fried pickle because they filter ALL the grease together. Some people have Shell fish allergies, in fact, a lot of people do. They can still eat a piece of fried fish, some fries or fried pickles etc. SOME restaurants are considerate enough to have a little counter-sized fryer just for those with allergies and some aren't. Our waitress (Lauren P.) was great. The fried crab claws were decent. Everything else was very disappointing . The fried pickles were so salty we couldn't eat them. The fried shrimp (tails on) were just ok. The blackened Mahi Mahi was greasy, the crab cake were just ok as were the fries. Kravers is a locally owned seafood restaurant. It is becoming a regular dining option for our family. They have excellent quality food and large portion sizes. Many meals can be shared, which is always a plus for us. On our most recent visit, I had the Royal Red shrimp meal, which came with two sides, new potatoes and a small ear of corn. This is the only negative to this meal, the sides don't appear to be optional. My beautiful wife had a small shrimp po-boy. If this is small, I hate to see what a large size is. Her sandwich was enormous. Both meals were very good, and service was great. Kravers is a great restaurant for those with s hankering for some quality fried or steamed seafood. It isn't fine dining, but the food is still great. This has become our favorite seafood restaurant in West Mobile. I highly recommend Kravers. read more

I've always loved eating there. They were always so accommodating when we would have meetings, groups for trips and did not charge. I understand about things being higher etc now. However, they charge and the manager is a real smarty pants about it. I don't understand when we bring 30 guests or more and they pay gratuity, order a full price meal and the host of the meeting loses the down payment and it doesn't go toward food or anything. I still eat there and was supposed to go tonight but declined because last week I gave them another try and it cost a good bit but so many fries that my 10 shrimp was just not enough. Looks like you have a lot but you have a basket full of fries. Not as accommodating or good as they once were. The manager needs training. Needless to say our group goes to another restuarant now that will accommodate. read more

Really good! I got a half and half basket with crab claws and stuffed crab and my husband got a fried shrimp basket. We were both very pleased with how fresh and well seasoned it was. The only thing we didn't like were the French fries, nothing really wrong with them for sure, just not the type we like so we didn't eat many of them. Definitely will be going back! read more

The gumbo is fantastic! Beer selection was pretty weak but they have Yellow Hammers so I'm still giving 4/5 stars.

This placed rocks! I have lived in mobile my whole life and every time someone comes to visit the first thing they say is where can we go get some seafood! This place is the first place I suggest to anyone they consistently have amazing food that is always hot l, seasoned and comes out fast! I get the fried crab claws and catfish l! The fried green tomatoes are also out of this world but the real all star of this restaurant is the remoulade sauce it is to die for! read more

Really nice, laid back environment. Enjoyed the boat bar in back as a great touch on decor. The service was excellent. Wait staff attentive and Carrie did not aggravate, but kept you taken care of. Slaw was rough cut, and seasoned perfectly. No need for salt or pepper. The shrimp were tasty and could have been a little over fried, if you were looking for anything to fuss about, BUT you would just be looking for something because the taste was fantastic. This place has been packed since the first day it opened. Finally went their recently. Picking up takeout was super easy and our order was totally correct, but the food was only ok. It wasn't bad but wasn't good enough to go back. But apparently everyone loves it. read more

Visited here last night and it was very nice, fast, good foos and great price. We arrived at 6pm on a Friday night and had a 10 min. wait. My husband and I shared the pick three meal. Update: Thank you Zack for the reply. Our server that evening told us that there weren't any desserts made fresh. It's nice to know she was wrong. She also told us the spices were the same on the shrimp as we ordered both types. Hopefully, she was new and needs more training on your menu. I agree with you on the gumbo. It definitely depends on what you grew up on. I suppose my biggest issue is/was the customer service and professionalism. Not only at the front but with surrounding servers as well. We heard snide remarks here and there about this and that. Workers who need more training on how to be more professional for their atmosphere. Please know I'm not trying to be negative but offering constructive criticism at this point. We will return for a second try and bring our girls. Our first attempt was a rare date night. 2.5 really Not as fabulous as we have been hearing about. They weren't very busy but: Hostesses did not greet us, one just finally said "so, how many" and "what was that name?". We hadn't even had a conversation where this had come up... In customer service, you are supposed to greet as soon as the customer enters. Not stare down for a few minutes and then hope they're still there. Don't get me started on the gumbo. But, some people may like it - it just wasn't my favorite. Grilled is the same as blackened except you get more of the spices on blackened. We asked about desserts but none are made fresh so we didn't order. Don't get me wrong, it was edible, but not worth the money/time. read more

The location is perfect and the place gets busy in the evening. Attire is casual beyond belief, shorts and flip flops no problem. If you love fried fish and fried food you've entered heaven! Why 3 stars, primarily because there are very few healthy options. Very limited steamed options, and the blacked or grilled options are packed with high sodium seasoning. Serving size is generous and will fill you up. This is a good place if you're in west Mobile and want fish. It would be an even better place if there were more healthier options. read more

Oh my!!!! I love to pop in & get their royal reds!! They are some of the best around! Their AYCE grilled, blackened or fried popcorn shrimp is also great. We've always had great service. The food was excellent. Some of the best crab claws I've ever had. Portions were good, service was excellent, and food was hot, tasty, and arrived quickly. We eat at this restaurant at least once a week, maybe twice when we call in during the week. We know this is fresh seafood, and we haven't had a terrible experience, although they are human, so I don't understand why anyone would give them a bad review. My first visit to #2 is a hit. I frequent the one in Daphne once a week so the bar was high. We opted for the usual. I got the pick two with catfish and shrimp and hubby the AYE popcorn shrimp. Delicious the servings are still generous and the staff is friendly. The only reason I knocked off a star is because while the restaurant will accommodate a large crowd, the parking lot will not. Great new place in WeMo for fresh seafood. Went for lunch today and it was already packed at 11:45. Cute and casual inside with a menu full of fried and grilled seafood options. We were feeling Fried-day today so went with tail shrimp, oysters and crawfish. A delightful breading not too heavy and full of flavor. Even the hush puppies were yummy and I'm not normally a fan. Quick and friendly service and we'll definitely be back to try the signature cocktails and gumbo. read more

Loved this place. We split two of the pick 2s with fried catfish, popcorn shrimp, and 2 things of crab claws. It came with a lot of fries, a few hushpuppies, and a side of coleslaw. Huge portion and great value for seafood. Inside the restaurant is really open and modern which made for a nice relaxing atmosphere. We come to Mobile every few months and this place will be a go-to from now on. Can't wait to try some other menu items. read more
