Kraves isn't a huge place. There are four boots that seat about 6 each and another four small tables, so take out might be the better option. The music was solid. When I walked in, they had Hotel California playing at a decent volume. I ordered cauliflower bites and farfalle primaverra with the addition of grilled chicken. I didn't realize until we got home that they forgot the chicken. Jose assured me I would be refunded for the transaction. The pink sauce was thick and creamy and I really enjoyed it. Pros: Our food was very good and well packaged. My wife loved her Nonna's Pizza. The staff was nice and helpful. Cons: Two things were missing from our order. Check the meals before you leave. I ordered the meal on the Slice app. It said it would be ready at 6:23. I had to wait another 10 minutes for the order. Overall, there was much more positive than negative. read more

I came back, the woman reprinted my order to show what the correct order was I still received a sandwich with the wrong cheese (remove provolone for fresh mozzarella) and missing lettuce. Several friends have strongly suggested that we go to Kraves. Today we finally did and we had a great experience. Joanne welcomed us and talked us through the menu. We tried the Jo-Jo pizza and loved it...thin crust with pepperoni, with ricotta and tomato sauce and hot honey drizzled over the top to finish it off. We also shared a Pompeii salad.....which was fresh and delicious. We also ordered a Margarita pizza which was crispy and thin with a delicious tomato sauce, mozzarella and fresh basil. Kraves is just off Broadway in Denville. They serve pizza by the slice or takeout. I stopped by on a Wednesday at lunch and there were plenty of different slices to choose from. There's booths and tables, so plenty of seating. I ordered a slice of chicken bacon ranch and it was good . It's a thin crust pizza. The server was friendly. The tables were clean. I need a quick lunch and while I was dropping off some shirts at Clyde's cleaners (very good, btw) I asked about Kraves, next door. Thumbs up was the response. I went in and had a slice and a cola. The slice was HUGE. I'm a 2 slice guy but this one serving was filling. And the sauce's taste was clearly "homemade" , the "tooth" of the crust took me back to my favorite pizza from my childhood in Cliffside Park and the generous covering with good mozzarella made it a star. Stopped in at a new place for us for lunch/brunch - very friendly, very clean and very cute inside. They had specials posted outside on the sidewalk and inside the door that looked great...and so did the regular menu items. Ordered a couple iced teas and read through the menu... Wifey decided to have avocado toast with two eggs sunny-side up. I really was in the mood for a burger, but was good and ordered one of the salad specials - Mango salad with coconut shrimp. Wifey loved her avocado toast and mentioned it was a generous portion...needed a little salt and pepper, but that's always better than too much seasoning. My salad was very good - mango, tomato, cucumber and a grated cheese over mixed greens with what tasted like a strawberry vinaigrette. My shrimp were ok...a little over done and definitely too much batter for the size of the shrimp...but the taste was very good. Service was great the whole time, but it was a little pricey. What a nice addition to Denville. Stopped by for lunch today w GF's. Bright Clean n airy restaurant in the heart of Denville w plenty of parking ( municipal) right next to it. Greeted by a friendly waitress. We had so Many choices from the menu. Was tough deciding what to order. . We settled on the garden panini, garden skillet n steak quesadilla. We ordered a large, thin crust plain pie, to try Krave's for the first time. It was EXCELLENT! We returned in the same week to try a shrimp parmigiana hero and Turkey sub, and they were both great. We will return and try other items on the menu, too. This is quickly becoming a go-to! The service is reasonable and friendly. It is a cute, clean place with booths and tables with friendly service. I've been here a few times during the week, and we can always get a table. ( with a larger group of people) Their lunch has been more enjoyable than breakfast, usually tends to be small, and eggs well done. We ordered buffalo wings and they were floured and fried. They were soggy and not crispy. We also ordered a grandma pizza with onions and ham, crust was soggy (not cooked all the way also) and to much flour on bottom left chalky taste in mouth plus sauce tasted like it was from a jar. No prosciutto so ham was the only option which wasn't the same. I don't think we will give it a second chance as Tabor pizza and Casa di pizza are way better. It's wonderful that Denville has so many great food options including several highly rated pizza/Italian options. Tonight we tried Kraves for the first time and it will not be the last. We placed a simple order of the meatball appetizer and the Krave special square pizza. Both items exceeded my expectations. The meatballs came with a touch of ricotta and in a very tasty, slightly sweet sauce. The crust on the pizza was thick but light and each topping was in the right proportion. Finally, the order was placed online and the estimated pick up time turned out to be within one minute of the text advising me it's ready. read more

I placed an online order through the Slice app for a BLT for delivery. I'm a first time customer and was very impressed with the experience. The pricing was SO reasonable for the portions and quality. I have definitely paid almost double for just a simple sandwich (without sides) at the local chains in Rockaway. The food arrived hot and most importantly the customizations were accurate! I left instructions for the driver to leave it on the front porch so I didn't have to hold my dogs back when he showed up. He did just that and I was pleasantly surprised, as this order note is often ignored or missed by other food delivery drivers who will ring the bell and wait while my dogs rush the door. The food was sealed shut in a paper bag which makes me feel better about food safety ordering from a new place. The only minor inconveniences were 1. The original delivery time changed from 12:24 (latest) to 12:40 a few minutes before the first ETA, but in fairness Slice is a 3rd party app so it's hard to say why the ETA is modified well after the order is placed and 2. It would be great if the restaurant would update the online menu to clearly state the sandwiches include a side of fries. I unknowingly ended up spending more than I really needed to by adding an order of fries because it was not clear whether these were included with the sandwich. It's tough to guess as a customer based on pricing lately, given the crazy inflation and that prices are high for most takeout. In my experience, fries ARE INCLUDED with the BLT here. Definitely give this place a try! Looking forward to trying breakfast here in the near future! read more

Great breakfast spot in Denville! They are the owners of my favorite hometown pizzeria in Hackettstown (Davilas) so I had to check them out. The space is very clean and inviting. There is street parking but it can be tough. There is a municipal lot near by. Denville does not take parking violations lightly. The entire staff is very friendly. We were immediately seated. I was crazy sausage gravy so I decided to have the Biscuits Benedict. The Biscuit was split into two and topped with two sausage patties, two perfectly cooked poached eggs that were smothered in their homemade sausage gravy! It was heavenly. I really like their thin crust pizza. A lot of places are putting out a thin crust pizza nowadays. There's has a small crust on the end unlike some who have just cheese. I would rather have the crust and it also has more cheese on the pizza. They have Dr. Brown's cream soda, which is a bonus. The service was quick. I ordered online so no problems. Decided to try a new place for pizza and Kraves was really good! They had a lot of cool specialty pizzas which is why I ordered from them. The eggplant pizza was perfect, fresh, thin sliced, breaded and a dollop of ricotta and sauce with regular mozz. My son loved the pepperoni. When I was talking to someone that worked there picking up my pizza, he said that their family owns another one in Hackettstown. That it is really popular. I moved to the area a few years ago from Hudson county, and have often felt disappointed from the pizza in the area. While it's not "bad", it's not like home. When I ordered from Kraves the first time, I got a small taste of home. They have some of the best tasting pizza in the area. My wife and I ordered three items from here. Chicken noodle soup, Cheesesteak wrap and a slice of pizza. When my wife got home with the order, we noticed they didn't give us the slice of pizza, and they gave us a panini instead of a wrap. I understand mistakes happen, but this wasn't a complicated order. If it was just me, I wouldn't have headed back for the slice, but it was for my toddler. And she wasn't having it. The first thing I noticed was that it was a couple of kids working the counter and were more interested in talking to their friends who were in there, so I can see where the distraction came from. Now that the dust has settled with Kraves Breakfast & Lunch grand opening, paid them a visit on a rainy Sunday for a late morning breakfast with my kids. Was happy to get a seat as soon as we arrived, and happy to see other customers were there and the place was at near capacity. The menu was vast with many options to choose from. We ended up ordering the Sweet Morning Crepes (Your choice of strawberry or banana with whipped cream & powdered sugar or chocolate syrup), Kraves Chorizo House Skillet (Onions, peppers, pepperjack cheese & basted eggs), and the chocolate chip pancakesnwith a side of bacon. I thought the portion size was perfect and left full and satisfied! While I know many people prefer large meals, I would rather eat a full meal and have nothing leftover, than try to reheat food the next day. It is never the same. All in all, it was great breakfast and a great new addition to downtown Denville. Like most restaurants nowadays, the menu pricing is if you pay in cash, and there are signs that state this. If you pay be credit card, there is a small credit fee which is almost a norm nowadays. While it really does not impact me, It is nice to know to bring cash to avoid the credit card surcharge.
