Very good pizza spot located in Denville. The further you get from New York it's usually up in the air how good the pizza is but this place was good. Got a grandma pie and pepperoni and both were very good. Nice crisp crust and good sauce. The wings were ok. Picked up at the pizza parlor and service was friendly and pretty quick. Place was very busy for the middle of the week which is a good sign. If I was in the area I would definitely order from here again. read more

Stopped in for dinner on my drive home from work and was really impressed. I had a buffalo chicken slice--absolutely delicious. The homemade chicken cutlets stood out, and the thin crust with just the right amount of zest made it a winner. Also tried a classic pepperoni slice, which was just as good--thin, crispy, and flavorful. Garlic knots were more like light, airy garlic "munchkins" than traditional knots based on their shape. Tasty for sure, but I prefer the traditional knot shape for a bit more texture and crunch. The interior has plenty of seating, the staff were super friendly, and they had sports news on, which made the short wait more enjoyable. Only small downside: The price. Four slices, six garlic knots, and a coke for my wife and I was about $30 which felt a bit steep for a quick bite. But the quality is definitely there, so it's hard to complain too much. read more

5.0 not 3.8. Absolutely insane CdP doesn't have more stars. This warm, family-style place is hands down the best pizza in this area and for years. The Brooklyn pie amazes all that try it. All their wood fired pies are fantastic with perfect dough, tangy sauce, and high quality fresh mozzarella and other toppings. The Brooklyn reigns supreme because it features fresh mozzarella laid down first, a plum tomato sauce that is perfectly complimentary with that smooth San Marzano taste, an even but not overpowering layer of coarsely chopped garlic and olive oil. The crust is thin but not too thin. It's stout and crispy all the way to the edge with these huge triangular slices that make it a unique eating experience. The sauce to cheese ratio is spot on every time. Making a reverse pie like this is art. It's not easy to get it right. Everyone I turn on to it rave about it to all of their friends and so on. Besides the food, the family feel, excellent service and reasonable prices for such high quality pies top it all off. It's packed during peak times but the wait is never long and it's a great pick-up, delivery spot. NOTE, you have to order delivery on their website. It's a little clunky but it works every time. If I can give zero stars I would! Let me start by saying been here tons of times. And order trays of food. There is a waitress that is never really that nice but whatever. So what happened last week was absolutely horrible! We go for dinner . It comes out . All but mine I ask where is it and told she forgot to put it in . Ok , I say I really don't want it to come after everyone has finished . She says no worries I'll put a rush on it and will be a few minutes. 25 min later I ask where it is. She said still coming out . I said this is what I was talking about when I said I didn't want to get it when everyone was done . Which they were. She starts to get very loud with me and everyone in there is now staring at us. Good finally comes . We are leaving and my wife stays back because she didn't appreciate how the waitress talked to me. I'm watching from outside. Now my wife is not loud or rude . I see the woman yelling and waving her arms around. Now her husband the cook comes out , so I go in . We start to argue . On the way out he yells at me to step out back . My wife and I leave! Rude management! Tried to place a delivery order through website - took a long time to upload then showed the message "your order could not be submitted" so I called to place a pick up order. My son picked it up and paid with his cc but my cc was charged for the delivery which never happened. I called and the manager said the delivery was made but it wasn't. Although I said my son brought the food home the manager said my son never came to pick up the order and the food we received was the delivery. So I imagined my son walking into the house carrying the food???Nope! Manager admitted to taking home the extra order to her house but that she took the pick up order. I said that was the delivery order but she kept arguing that I received the delivery. She even said with a nasty tone "does your son look like a 50 year old Arab guy?". Then hung up on me. So we paid $130 for her food! I disputed the charge with my cc company. Awful customer service! How can you treat a loyal customer this way?! read more

It's true that Casa D Pizza isn't as good as it used to be. But it's still a five-star, unqualified recommendation for Denville-area pizza. The traditional brick oven yields crusts with crispy outsides and soft insides, while the toppings acquire a rustic appearance that undersets your expectations. If you have 10 minutes, go in and buy it by the slice. You'll skip what can be a 60-minute wait for your own pie, and there are always tons of options: buffalo chicken, Brooklyn, grandma, cheese, pepperoni, bruschetta, and others. The thin-crust experience is absolutely on another level here. While normally this is not my preference - I grew up on pan pizza, ok? - I love how the cheese and toppings bake into the dough, I guess thanks to the hot brick oven treatment. The result is that the cheese can't slide off the slippery crust while you're handling the slices, as happens with inferior pies. If you're in the area and in a pizza mood, you owe it to yourself to try Casa D Pizza. read more

So I looked up "best Sicilian pizza in NJ" and this came up on a radio website's list as one of the best joints. This place is fairly closely to me so I drove over to pick up a pie. Parking lot has plenty of space. Pie was ready in a reasonable amount of time and was also a fair price compared to other places in the nearby area (compared to Morristown). I would definitely agree that they make an excellent Sicilian pie. Not the best I've ever had, but it had all of the right elements: thick/bubbly crust, tasty sauce, enough cheese where it is slightly stretchy. I would have maybe liked more yeast flavor in the crust or a slightly air-ier crust and more meltly cheese. But that's just me being picky. Totally would get another Sicilian pie again from here. read more

It only took one bite from a few different slices here and that's when I thought to myself that this place makes some seriously delicious thin crust style Pizza. I also noticed how they're using two different types of ovens in order to prepare this incredible one of a kind Pizza and it was at that point when I came to the realization that they Definitely know what they're doing when it comes to making Superior Pizza.     First they bake it in a regular conventional oven for half of the cooking process and then move it to their brick oven in order to make the finished product with all the flavor of brick oven but without all the burnt edges which they say is the way most of their customers like it. Personally I'd like mine baked completely in the wood fired brick oven but that's just me okay. But as far as the locals around here go they like it this way and that's the way they like it, and I can see why too because Casa D Pizza makes some of the Best Crispy Thin Style Pizza around. Plus I found out that you can request that they prepare your Pizza entirely in the wood fired brick oven which is something I'm gonna have to try for my next visit.      I don't know of any other place that makes Pizza this way and I have to say that any business that would go through this kinda trouble just to make the majority of their customer base happy is definitely OK by me.    Come And Get Your Munch On!! read more

I'll start by saying, we have been repeat customers here for 5+ years now, and pizza has always been good. Recently, the quality of the pizza has not been the same. More importantly, the attitude of some members of the staff has become a very apparent issue. Casa D Pizza caught my eye on social media and I've been dying to give it a try. Prices were a bit high and made me hesitant when I picked up my order. $50 for two pies. Favorite pizza in the area - thin crust, cooked well come and cheesy with not too much sauce. My fave type of pizza! We've only done take out here and have only had their pizza and mussels so far but would easily recommend both. The mussels appetizer in sweet or hot red sauce were great too. Just no. Seltzer and pizza had a strange cardboard aftertaste. Not like "the pizza was hard like cardboard," but like the actual taste and flavor as if the ingredients were old and stale (no idea how you get fountain drinks to taste like that-maybe not cleaning the machine)? We walked in at about 1245 which we thought would be after the lunch rush and it was, but there was a huge line of people because the staff were mismanaging the line. We watched a guy who looked like the owner berate an older woman staff because she was (admittedly) just kind of walking around aimlessly while he was taking orders but it was uncomfortable how he basically barked at her to start seating people in front of customers. She did finally start seating customers which was a big part of the chaos. It took 10 min for her to come take our order (I was using the timer on my phone at this point bc it was ridiculous) and then after 20 min the food still wasn't on our table-we'd ordered two plain slices, a chicken wrap, and an eggplant sandwich. Some people in our party had to get back to work and at this point with travel and waiting to be seated were running out of time, I was with my 3 year old who was getting pretty hangry so I walked up and inquired about the ETA of the food. The same guy who'd berated the woman in front of customers looked at me and said "it will get there when it gets there, don't rush us!" in a nasty and dismissive tone. The food came one minute later, lukewarm which leads me to believe it was sitting there and just more poor management. The mean guy sat down near us at one point with someone I did t recognize as an employee and just seemed negative in general. He dropped a few f bombs as well which I didn't really appreciate since my 3 year old was with us and it's just unprofessional in general. Won't be back here again, spend your money at any of the other much better lunch places in Danville with polite and friendly service. read more

Absolutely the worst! Traveled 1/2 hour to eat here sadly. No water glasses at table for first 15 minutes. Sat with salad for 10 minutes with no dressing. had to get myself. There wood fired pizza is soggy and tasteless. Absolutely attention free restaurant as in no attention or service. Even had to get up and ask for our check twice. We left a tip but don't know why. Back here again for a second try and was very pleased with the food, this time a Zuppa di Pesce dinner loaded with fish, got the sweet sauce as I always do. I don't like to overpower the flavor. The only time I Iike spicy fish is when you must blacken a certain fish like tilapia or catfish in order to fully enjoy. The price is what catches you eye at $24 but that's because there are no large scallops or lobster tail. It had a nice white fish that was not overcooked although I would have liked a larger piece. First of all, the crust on the pizza was burnt and it wasn't just ours as I looked at other tables having pizza it seemed to be a theme. My 7 year old granddaughter ordered penne vodka. The pizza came out first and the penne came out at least 20 minutes later. I really hate that. Everyone wants to eat together. This is a big no no in my book. But when I asked the young bus boy who was standing near us if he could check on her food and he went in the kitchen, the woman that takes the orders screamed at him loudly enough for me to hear her.
