Nine years later and Kream 'N Kone is still our first stop when we get to the Cape. New owners and plenty has changed, but thankfully the important stuff hasn't. One change we really enjoyed was eating outside overlooking Swan Pond River. I had the scallop plate with fries and those big homemade onion rings, and my wife had the cheeseburger. The fries have changed from the old steak fries to a thinner cut, but everything was hot, fresh and still very fairly priced for Cape Cod. Friendly staff (especially Jojo!) serving delicious food for everyone. Families with kids sitting near us seemed to love the outdoor patio with the water views. But there's also an indoor air-conditioned dining room, big enough to seat a large group. I loved my fresh lobster roll. Come as casual as you choose. I wanted shrimp, my family wanted haddock. We agreed that the fish must have been caught this morning because the taste was extraordinary! We were too stuffed to have a cone after dinner, so we opted to enjoy the atmosphere. Jo Jo assisted with our order, and she is a true gem! Always happy, warm, friendly, and inviting. Dinner here was fast and filling. Be prepared for fried food heaven. Ordered a clam chowder and it was delicious ! It had the perfect consistency of creaminess and potatoes with a healthy amount of clam in the soup. Hands down the best choice and your mouth and tummy will thank you. We had a lobster roll and although it was filling we thought it could have used a little bit more sauce to add to the richness of the overall experience. Our order had fried onions, calamari, fish and fries. Tasty but fried overload and was looking for some type of vegetables to give it some balance and cut down on the whole fried platter. Perhaps we should have ordered some Cole slaw on the side. Service was fast. The cashier and order taker could have been a bit more friendly. She was just missing a beat or just tired. Plenty of tables to sit. You pick your seats and take your order number with you on a stand. They have servers come bring you your order when it's ready. Definitely a popular place. Love this place! We try to hit it whenever we're on Cape. Parking is easy with a huge lot. Walk in and order at the counter, take it to go or grab a seat and they will bring it out to you. Service at the registers is fine, young kids working hard. For food we got clam roll, lobster roll and the kids had cheeseburgers and hot dogs. Large fries to split amongst everyone and o-rings were a hit. Super fresh food. Inside is kind of boring and plain but food makes up for it. read more

Beginning of the end for KnK? I've been going to this location since the move and A&A took over. And all the way back to the old location. Under new ownership now. Yesterday was maybe my worst experience ever. Only two customers at the counter. Maybe more workers than I've ever seen, but nobody paying attention to the counter and looked like mass confusion. Meanwhile, the new owner paying no attention and messing around in the beer fridge. Two counter people on the phones. I probably waited 5 minutes for someone to even come over to take my order. When I wouldn't give my name for the order (but why? every order/receipt has a number) the counter person got all flustered. I got none of the friendliness I've been used to for years. I gave this place a bad review last year because my order was much smaller than usual. Well, I went back and I'm pleased to say that my bad experience was a one-off. I still stand behind my statement that I got a skimpy meal a year ago, but I've been back twice since then and it hasn't happened again, so it must have been a screw up in the kitchen. Heard Kream N Kone is Cape Cod famous so had to stop when we were in Dennis! Was a little disappointed they didn't have much outdoor seating and there didn't seem to be a way to access it without going thru the restaurant. Since we had our dog, we decided to take it to go. Ordered 2 lobster rolls & ice cream, of course! Honestly, the ice cream was better than our meal. Good thing we weren't starving because this lobster roll was on the small side and didn't come with any sides - no chips, coleslaw... nada. It was also a bit fishy on the first bite, which I didn't like. And it looked like it had more lettuce than lobster... Overall, it was good but definitely wouldnt order again compared to other rolls we've tried on the Cape. Would definitely go for the fried seafood instead. And was told by a friend we missed out by not ordering their onion rings! The ice cream though... amazing!! I got a classic vanilla soft serve with hot fudge and it was perfect! It was our first nite at the Cape and we had a massive take out for nine adults on a Saturday nite. We essentially order almost everything they had to offer over the phone. I had expected them to take at least 20-30 minutes but they said come on down in 10! Upon arrival I saw a huge line waiting for seats and figured no way they were going to be able to pump out our large order in 10 minutes. We paid and within one minute we picked up. The bag was so heavy the handle broke and the service person re-bagged for us. Getting home and found everything tasty and delicious. Since they/many others say that fried seafood is their specialty, I decided to try out the fried whole clam plate (served w/onion rings & fries). The best part of the whole meal was probably the fries, which... is not what I wanted. The plate itself was extremely greasy, and the clams were very soggy as a result of this. The onion rings were too, and it unfortunately made for a disappointing trip, especially at that price point. The service was pleasant enough, though, and my review is really about the food itself. *Maybe* if I were in the area again, I'd try a lobster roll, but I would not come back for the fried seafood, unfortunately. read more

Heard that this was the spot, so we had to try it! We ordered the fried haddock and fried scallop plates. Each plate comes with french fries AND onion rings. I was shocked because most of the places in the area make you pay more for onion rings. The scallops were great, and very juicy. Didn't even need sauce. Fries and onion rings were also good as well.
