Fried combo meal with potatoes, onion rings, Calamari, and fish.
    Rion C.

Dinner here was fast and filling. Be prepared for fried food heaven. Ordered a clam chowder and it was delicious ! It had the perfect consistency of creaminess and potatoes with a healthy amount of clam in the soup. Hands down the best choice and your mouth and tummy will thank you. We had a lobster roll and although it was filling we thought it could have used a little bit more sauce to add to the richness of the overall experience. Our order had fried onions, calamari, fish and fries. Tasty but fried overload and was looking for some type of vegetables to give it some balance and cut down on the whole fried platter. Perhaps we should have ordered some Cole slaw on the side. Service was fast. The cashier and order taker could have been a bit more friendly. She was just missing a beat or just tired. Plenty of tables to sit. You pick your seats and take your order number with you on a stand. They have servers come bring you your order when it's ready. Definitely a popular place. Line moves quickly so don't have to be concerned about taking long to order. Food is out to you pretty quickly. The people working there have it down to a science.

The chowder was hot, thick and full of clams and these are the chicken tenders I dream about. The restaurant itself is clean and spacious and the service is quick. Would come again.

Love the onion rings and clams but the Lobster bisque was just ok, no real lobster meat just mush chunks. Wouldn't recommend.

The food was enjoyable, and the service was prompt. The restaurant had a casual, fast-food vibe with a focus on fried seafood.

1/3 lb. Cheeseburger and Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich

Good stop in Dennis for lunch or a meal with a big group. The menu highlights fried seafood and summertime classics- burgers, sandwiches, etc. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and my husband ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. There was a decent selection of bottled beers, so we each ordered one. There is a big dining room and an outdoor porch. We sat outside and enjoyed a partial marsh view. The prices were very fair here and service to your table was quick (you get a number to place on your table). I would return here for a quick, casual lunch again in the future. This could also be a good option for a family with picky eaters or people on a budget.

Big plate scallops, clams, onion rings and fries

Stopped in for some scallops and decided on two way with clams plate ... was a lot of food a lot of sea scallops and huge, very fresh scallops... moist places skimp on scallops as price per pound under Bidenomics inflation . Clams a lot too... ton of onion rings and fries Really two meals and 30 bucks reasonable. All was a little greasy compared to my Ipswich Ma JT Farnham's Offered complementary water dispenser which most were using... That is nice gesture ... but I was committed already to my Yeungling beer... tons of seating I should have ordered the broiled scallops as lady next to me ordered .... The tarter sauce was bland tasting... needs a kick up notch like Ceal's tarter at their clam spot The moist and tenderness of scallops were some best I have had ... 5 stars, but greasiness gives it a 4 .

The dining room was more spacious than it appears to be from the outside. Piped in music leaned heavily toward the '70s. We had reservations for a table for 4 for Monday 4 pm when it opened and the place slowly filled up. Our waitress, Sam, was very animated, attentive, and personable. She explained she was training a new waitstaff member and also that the chef had been busy all day setting up another proximate location. We placed our drink and oyster orders first. Then shortly followed with our entree orders. Two members of our party had food allergies and were very specific about what they could not eat. Sam checked menu items with the kitchen to verify what accommodations could be made. The cocktails were delicious and well made, and we were offered fresh hot rolls with butter and a light whipped hummus. The oysters arrived and were small, but ultra-fresh, sweet and briny. Then we waited...and waited. When our entrees finally arrived, they revealed either some of the kitchen staff also was new and/or the head chef/owner was distracted with setting up the second location. The Cioppino was very good, with plenty of seafood and a lobster tail, as was the house seared scallops with asparagus and lobster risotto. The blackened scallop special was very spicy (as warned) but arrived layered on corn, which we emphatically had said must be avoided. Sam apologized and took that away and replaced it with another vegetable. Then the beer-battered fish and chips arrived with sweet potato fries, when the parmesan-seasoned fries had been ordered. We know in both cases Sam had correctly repeated our orders to us before placing with the kitchen, so it was not her fault. However, she again apologized and brought back the correct type of fries. Sadly, they were pale and limp, contrasted with overbrowned, oily/doughy portions of fish. The accompanying coleslaw was not crisp and was barely seasoned, tasting thinly of mayonnaise. The member of our party who had ordered the fish and chips dinner literally took a taste of each item and pushed the plate away as not good. I also tasted each item and agreed. To the restaurant's credit, Sam spoke with her boss and that entree was removed from the bill. It seems the oysters and specialty seafoods are the highlight here, but more simple fish shack foods are better served elsewhere. Also, better attention needs to be paid to orders by the kitchen. If I return to this area, I would consider returning for the daily oyster specials and drinks, the cioppino, and possibly trying out the creative-sounding desserts, but might want to try other restaurants for a full dinner experience with friends.

Then when you add the fact that this family-owned restaurant has clearly prioritized quality food and service, The Ocean House is must go if you're on the Cape. I was lucky enough to come just at the beginning of the season. Lucky for 2 reasons. Firstly, I was able to get a reservation (I heard it is near impossible once season hits). Secondly, we got a 3 @ 66 deal for an app, a main, and a dessert. So we obviously made it a 6 @ 122 to try everything we possibly could. Apparently that deal is only at the beginning and end of season. The Ocean House has a unique Asian-inspired twist to make each dish unique and intriguing. This goes for both food and drinks. For example, I got a dirty martini with MSG?!? Never heard of that, but it worked. Food was all fresh (especially the fish) and delicious. My favorite was their Chilean Sea Bass. That's a must get. Do yourself a favor and make a resi far in advance and take in everything you can! It may be a little pricy and a little fancy - but definitely worth everything.

The portions were very generous and we both left full with food to spare. We started with the onion rings, which came out as a big basket super crispy, well-seasoned, and not greasy at all. My hot lobster roll was loaded with tender lobster and perfectly buttery, and the sweet potato wedge fries were a great match. The clam chowder was thick, flavorful, and packed with clams, absolutely living up to their reputation. My son really enjoyed his fish and chips from the kids' menu -- crunchy on the outside, moist inside, and plenty of fries. Service was excellent from start to finish. The ambiance was casual and lively but not too loud, with a classic pub feel that still felt very family-friendly. The restaurant is quite large with a spacious dining area, so even when it was busy we didn't feel crowded. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and on point the whole time, keeping drinks topped off. Overall, a great, family-friendly spot with delicious Cape Cod seafood and more than enough food for the price. We'll definitely be back if we're ever in town again.
