And it's never dry, like some smoked meat can be. For those mentioning price, they're cheaper than their competitors, for a better product. If you go buy a tri tip to cook at home, it'll be around $30 for one roast. Brisket is even higher. Then consider the process to smoke it can take half a day or more. MTJTT isn't cheap, but it's not a rip off. It's a fair price for what you're getting. The location is good, close to everything in the city, but off on a side street, so it's more peaceful without having to drive forever to get there. I've been there a couple times now on triple-digit days, and there's always a nice comfortable breeze in the covered area. I hope they catch on, and expand. I'm a huge fan!

I'll start off by saying customer service has improved since the first time I went. The food has…read morebeen great the last few times we've been, and I would get it more often, however since I don't eat red meat, pork, or chicken, I usually substitute for Shrimp, or no meat, but the up-charge for substituting is overpriced, or the fact that I'm paying the same amount for no protein also sucks. Having worked 15+ years in the food industry, substituting proteins isn't a new concept. Additionally it makes it hard to want to try other items since they are all packed with proteins I don't eat, and I have to pay the up charge to substitute, and I don't want to pay $20, only to be disappointed, so I stick to my usual. I will continue to recommend them, and occasionally visit, when I have the craving. I hope to see a more cost efficient substitution added.
