It was Valentine's Day so you expect things to be hectic, but everything ran as smoothly as possible and the food was delicious. A couple of things that leave me hesitant to return. It is extremely noisy in there. The tables and people are way too close to each other so much so that it's uncomfortable. The waitstaff and customers bumped into me several times last night. Secondly, we had to order appetizers and the meal at the same time because "the kitchen wants it that way". I went here with a friend on a sunday afternoon . The vibe is bright , modern and casual . Our server was a bit abrupt and misunderstood a few things we said . We did ultimately get what we wanted. People rave about this place so I was expecting some of the best Mediterranean/ Greek food I've had, and I can't say it lived up to that! Don't get me wrong, it was pretty good, but nothing I feel the need to go back for. The cheapest bottle of red wine was $46- wow! The app sampler was pretty small. The tzatziki served to the table was really bland and runny. We had to ask for pita- not sure if that was unusual or typical there. I got the marouli salad with chicken gyro. The chicken gyro was sliced thinly and good, but the salad tasted kind of greasy- not sure if it was from the chicken, or a bit too much olive oil on the salad. My husband got a gyro platter, and the veggie it was served with which peas, which I we didn't think was that impressive of a side. He and our friend who also got a gyro platter finished the whole thing- portions aren't that big. My friend and I had a delicious lunch at Krinti. We ordered a bunch of apps and then a salad. The cigars and grape leaves were by far our favorite and I would definitely say they are a must have. Loved their pita bread too! I didn't love the soup, but my arugula and beet salad was delicious and my friend loved her Greek salad. We had a coffee to end our meal and even that was good too! We visited on a beautiful day and sat inside with the doors open, cute little spot! Our server was patient with us, as we had a slow moving lunch because we were catching up. I had the worst experience in this restaurant last night, I asked for a Gyro on a pita and had my waiter berate me about how it is not possible and you can only get this at lunch and I must order a platter ($9 Vs $19) which I was willing to pay because this is a nice restaurant. Even after I said I was willing to take the platter and asked for them to just please make me a Gyro, they refused. The restaurant was EMPTY and the group I was with said that the waiter appeared scared and embarrassed. He offered to have the owner come over, who clearly heard the conversation, but, he never stopped by. That is a perfect way to end this review, Good Bye Krinti, I had 2 meals at your restaurant this week and you win, you don't need to serve me as a customer because we won't be back. I'm sorry to say my updated review is not as positive as my older one. I have just returned to Krinti when it was more busy (previous visit was on a Super Bowl Sunday pre-pandemic, and we were the only patrons). This time we had an uncomfortable experience with staff. First, when I clicked on the 18% tip button on the payment device, the server's body language and quick departure from the table indicated he was dissatisfied. On the way out, I stopped to compliment the speed and quality of the food, speaking to a bearded man dressed like an owner or manager and a woman next to him in a server's blouse. The man just stared at me and didn't say anything at all, which communicated to me that he didn't want to encourage me to return. The woman didn't even look at me. I can't speculate about why we were made to feel unwelcome, but I won't be going back. read more

Had a great lunch at Krinti. There was plenty of parking as it's in a small shopping center. My friend and I were able to sit outside. We both had salads. Mine was straight the menu with added gyro meat. She made several changes which they were able to accommodate with no problem. We were both happy with our choices. Our only negative comments would be that the salads were a little smaller than we would have expected. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share family style - hummus, baba ganoush, grilled calamari, grilled octopus, falafel, health salad, kebab feast, Mediterranean surf & turf kebab, branzino and sole. Everything was delicious! I personally liked the baba ganoush better than the hummus, the grilled octopus better than the calamari, and the branzino better than the sole. The kebabs were all delicious - the chicken was really juicy too. The rice that came with the kebabs was delicious and flavorful. I got the mule drink that they had. It had a splash of pomegranate juice and was tasty. For dessert we got baklava that was delicious too. Overall, great meal and our server was super attentive. We decided to give this Mediterranean place a try. The inside is very well decorated and clean. We ate early so the restaurant was quiet with just a few tables occupied. We were mostly interested in sampling the Turkish food. The host/owner was very helpful with the meal, very nice guy. The service was great. The meal started with pita and Tzatziki being brought to the table with a large pitcher of water and the coolest ice cubes with fruit and cucumber in them. We ordered the hummus and borek to start. The hummus was very fresh and tasty. The borek was delicious, we would order both again. For the main meal we shared a kabob feast which was a chicken kabob, lamb kabob and lamb gyro meat. It comes with rice and peas. We also had an order of kofte which also comes with rice and peas and one or two small grilled peppers. We had a side order of grilled vegetables. Both meals were very good, the kofte however was our favorite. The size of the meals are on the small side when you take the price into consideration. The kabob feast was larger in portion to the kofte but so was the price. While the food was excellent, I would think twice before going back because of the price. For 2 of us it was $105 without tip and no drinks. Kinda pricey. Additionally, there is a 4% credit card fee on top of the price which to me was a rip given the price of the food. read more

3.75 stars Came here on the first snow day of the season for takeout. Arrived, the only patron around likely due to the snow. Was greeted at the door with "how can I help you". Seems a little bizarre for a greeting instead of "welcome". I requested to order for takeout, with a simple response of "what would you like", surprised I was handed a menu and asked to sit at the bar. I ordered a lamb gyro, sat myself at the bar and 2 minutes (no exaggeration) my order was ready! Aside from the weird, unwelcoming interaction with the gentleman at the door and the speedy order preparation, I did enjoyed the succulent and flavorful order of lamb-note I didnt say gyro. The pita bread tasted stale and had a bizarre after taste, but that didn't didn't deter me too much from finishing my meal. Despite my 3.75 aka 4 star rating, I likely wouldn't return based on the customer service and the pita bread. Otherwise, the establishment itself looked beautiful and maybe other dishes on the menu are outstanding-I wouldnt know since I wasnt handed a menu. read more

Try the lentil soup - super interesting. Hummus is made well (I'm usually picky when it comes to hummus) which earns stars here by itself. Pita is on the thin side ala Turkish food, but is delicious. Kebabs (chicken, steak) and gyro lamb were great, and the accompanying rice was light and perfect with some tzatziki thrown in. I've been eating a lot of Mediterranean lately. This was right in the middle. Much better than Mediterranean Kabob House in Westbury, but not as good as 1331 Mediterranean Grill in North Bellmore. I ordered a Greek salad with gyro meat. In my opinion, the base salad was missing several of the staple parts of Greek salad. There were no onions, Greek olives and grape leaves. The gyro meat was a little over cooked but it had decent flavor. Not the best - not the worst. The waiter tended to hover until he saw that we weren't drinking or ordering appetizers. Then we hardly saw him again. I did like the outdoor seating they had set up in the parking lot. And there was plenty of parking. Very easy for anyone handicapped. All in all, it was fine. read more

Sunday mid-afternoon, only one other table taken in this fairly large open restaurant. Big windows were opened up to let the air in, with both seating inside and outside. Settled on a table for two indoors and was immediately given menus. Between two people, shared the Sampler Platter ($18) and a Falafel Platter ($15). Sampler included grape leaves, hummus, haydari, and spicy eggplant. Each item had a different flavor profile - with my favorite being the combination of the haydari yogurt and the spicy eggplant. Falafel platter includes five flattened falafel patties served with a roasted pepper, roasted tomato, and a pilaf of rice and beans. Patties are more under-cooked than I'd like, yet the roasted veggies are solid. To go along with the dips, a large basket of pita bread and side sauces makes for a solid pairing. Service was quick and friendly; we were in and out within 35 minutes. A little pricey for Mediterranean food, but probably your best bet in the area. read more
