Another place to stop over while visiting home was the neighborhood Krispy Kreme and walking distance was dangerous to venture to but we had to and our little one had her first Krispy Kreme donut here. Simple glaze. I love their value meal menu area so we did not pay an arm and leg for 2 donuts. But if you do not want the half to dozen that is a great choice. They have them pairing with milk, fountain drink and even Coffee Bean coffee hot or blended cold. Always a great "good morning" to grab some of these delicious treats in the morning. read more

I love krispy kreme! but the employees here, make it difficult for me to love the oh so melt in your mouth donut! They never smile, it's like sheesh if you don't like working here, why be there? The donuts itself of course are always DELICIOUS! freshly made, sometimes..I always seem to miss the Hot and fresh donuts! The smell is always empowering your senses and you can already feel your teeth hurt from how sweet it is! I swear, it seems as though every time I visit this Krispy Kreme in Eastlake they never have any of the chocolate topped white cream filled doughnuts. I know that it is their most popular selling donut but shouldn't that mean they always have it in stock and not be sold out? I have even asked if I returned in an hour or so would some be ready then? But they only make one batch per day and when they are gone then they are gone for that business day or so they explained to me. I usually always have to end up buying other donuts from their selection and it doesn't exactly thrill me to leave a store with the inferior leftovers from that day's business. Customer service is subpar and I've had a few instances where I walked away in amazement of how rude the employees treated me, but I understand how not everyone is enjoying their job or shift. The only knock I have against this place is the donuts aren't made in store. They are delivered via truck every morning and mid afternoon. So if they run out of donuts in the morning, you have to wait for another delivery in the afternoon. That being said, I love their donuts regardless. I bought a dozen glazed and chocolate glazed donuts as well as their specialty confections including a chocolate cream filled egg donut and their strawberry shortcake eclair for me and my niece. Hands down, I have to say their glazed donuts will always be on top for me because of the light, airy texture. It is not dense and it almost melts in your mouth. However, the stuffed donuts do not live up to my expectations and continue to give me mixed feelings. The first time I had one (a chocolate cream filled heart donut), I was missing the cream. The second time around, it was so messy that the cream was dripping out of the donut (it wouldn't have been so bad if it did not get all over my sweater, but I guess it would essentially be my fault for not being careful of the repercussions). Plus, the filling for the strawberry shortcake eclair was so sweet that I had to wash it down with so much water. There isn't a strong consistency when it comes to their filled donuts, so I don't care much for them. But their glazed donuts always seem to please, especially at the office. I also like that it is convenient for me to grab a box and go which is always a plus. 10/13/17 My family and I were craving the hazelnut coffee and a few donuts, however, we were greeted by a worker who seemed to be irritated. We mistakingly called the maple glazed donuts, chocolate glazed donuts and were rudely corrected by that same worker. We easily shook it off considering it was a mistake made on our behalf, but he just kept giving us comments that were uncalled for. As we ordered our drinks, my aunt was unsure if we normally order the blended or iced hazelnut drinks so we contemplated for a few seconds and the worker began asking us very rudely along with a few eye rolls "well did you want it iced or blended? The only thing odd that I find about their business practice is that they open at 6:00 a.m. and it is at that same time that the delivery driver can enter the shop to haul in the day's fresh donuts. I haven't been in this store in a while, but I believe the quality has gone down since the pandemic. I ordered an assorted dozen and had to pick and choose from pictures. They didn't even have the original kreme filled glaze donut available and it was only 8:30 a.m.! Although only two customers were allowed in the store at one time, it was loud because the person taking the orders had to verbally tell the workers behind the counter what the order was. And the workers behind the counter tried to take orders from customers as well, which resulted in multiple people raising their voices just to be heard. What was most disappointing was when I finally opened the box and see the sizes of the donuts were significantly smaller than what they used to be. My father, who hasn't had krispy kreme donuts in YEARS, just opened the box and commented on how small they are. Not to mention, my order was wrong (probably because the workers couldn't hear) and you can see from the picture that some of the donuts were just tossed in the box. Granted, the pandemic has affected many businesses. I appreciate the safety precautions they've taken to assure everyone's health and safety, but if i'm paying the same price for a box of donuts that I did prior to the pandemic, I expect the same quality as well. read more
