We often drive to this Krispy Kreme despite being in Concord. We usually get at least a dozen with the maple glazed and raspberry filled. It's hard to change the quality in these donuts so we don't have many complaints. Like others mentioned the icing of this establishment could improve but this is a minor problem. If you are looking for a established donut place that's quite popular in California I highlt recommend Krispy Kreme. I suggest calling before because there have been a couple times where they have closed early. read more

I honestly don't remember this place being this customer UNfriendly. It has been years since I've been to this particular location, but I was quite disappointed. The signs on the windows to entice customers to come in, should be removed if they won't sell you the donut that you came in for. We were in line, and several customers were wanting the donuts that were advertised on the windows. There would be one or two left, and the staff would state that they couldn't sell them because they are now for display. If that's the case, put a sign up, or take the window signage off. The same goes for their drinks. Again, it was an item listed on their menu. But when we tried to order it, they said that they didn't have it. I swear, we must have went down the line of the drinks listed on the menu until we came to one that they could actually make. But once my friend got her drink, it definitely was not what she ordered. Seeing that it would be a lost cause to have them correct it, she just drank the drink. From this experience, this location seems unreliable to have what they claim to have per all the advertising. I like Krispy Kreme quite a lot and this is the closest store to where I live. The donuts I got from here are stale half of the time so it's really more like 2.5 stars but service is acceptable so overall 3 stars. You really don't know the how fresh the donuts you get from here. Perhaps it's better to ask which ones just came out if you're not picky about flavors. read more

It's been awhile but I don't remember Krispy Kreme being awful. I was the only one in the drive thru. I ordered 2 chocolate filled glazed and a custard one. When I got to the window I was surprised that my order was ready. The young female cashier took my card, gave it back, started talking to her coworker while giving me my order. Not even looking at me or acknowledging it was the end of the transaction. So rude...hope it can be fixed. Furthermore, all my 3 donuts were cold. This location of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, from our experience, has always had friendly service. The doughnuts are the typical KKD and we seem to often pickup a box when we're in the area. If you have kids, they do give free regular glazed donuts for every 'A' they have on their report card. My daughter would always bring her report card for half dozen free donuts. Parking is never a problem unless you go around the holidays. Considering they're close to other businesses, parking can get busy. read more

So the hours they display on the web versus what their actual hours are is inaccurate. I planned to have dinner and bring my family doughnuts as a treat. Well they told us they are closed. This is ridiculous. If you have certain hours stick to them. Not just when you choose to! They need to get online and fix the hours because I would've never went to this location. I always research hours before going somewhere. I live all the way in Vallejo and this was a huge inconvenience. I always thought that krispy kreme doughnuts are on the small side, but that doesn't take away from this doughnut being a new favorite of mine whenever it comes back around. Totally worth the experience in my opinion. Overall: I like "Krispy Kreme" it may be a big chain doughnut establishment now with many franchises across the nation. This is honestly the worst Krispy Kreme that I have been to, and I have tried them in different states (Michigan, Tennessee, Texas, Nevada, Arizona, California) on vacations on different job sites or whatever and this place just sucks. We've come a few times and unfortunately the customer service has always been bad. Today, we pre-ordered two dozen (one box was custom). For the custom order, we selected to include a cake batter filled donut. When we got there, our order was not ready, and the employee was still making it. Luckily, we checked our boxes in the car to make sure our order was correct. Two donuts were wrong. Donuts great as always! Just want to make a comment about our experience with Vincent. He spoke very lowly and rudely to us and a few other customers ahead of us. We had a difficult time trying to understand what he was asking and when asked to repeat his words, would rudely and aggressively respond back. His fellow coworkers felt the need to constantly apologize for his behavior which is disappointing, since they werent the ones at fault. After briefly speaking with them, we learned that this had happened multiple times before. Super unfortunate. I hope that he is more mindful in the future with the way he speaks to his customers. Stopped in for a road snack with some friends after dinner. The kids loved watching the conveyor line make donuts. One of the workers gave us a fresh donut...free! We ordered up different donuts...I opted for the Oreo & cream filled donut...which is pretty tasty. Lots of parking as this place is in the strip mall...kind of hidden in the back though. The chocolate with sprinkles is good; I prefer the fried ones more though (eg King's Donuts). The Reese's donuts were so gross. I grew up in the south with Krispy Kreme, and I am an unabashed doughnut lover. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve Krispy Kreme's doughnuts frying in a river of hot oil and then passing under a waterfall of white glaze while the "hot now" sign blazes red in the store window. There are few pleasures in life that equal the ecstasy that comes with eating a hot, gooey, soft original glazed Krispy Kreme. So it brings me no pleasure to review this Concord location. When I visited, the store wasn't that clean, the employees were rude and clueless (I strongly suspect that the girl who was helping us at the counter was high), and very few doughnuts were available in the early afternoon. To make things confusing for both me and every other patron in line, the display case featured tons of old/stale doughnuts in every variety available, which compounded the disappointment when less than half of the doughnuts in the display were available for purchase. What can you really say about a donut shop? The main reason for the high rating is due to their open kitchen, it's really cool to be able to see their donuts being made and knowing it's going to be fairly fresh (duh, you're ordering straight from the kitchen right?). Other than the open kitchen view, it's a very large donut shop with decent amount of seating. Everything inside is standard for a Krispy Kreme. My favorite donut is their blueberry crumb! Terrible!!!! Old Stale donuts that were refrigerator cold. They were "sold out" of multiple items that they allowed us to order and it wasn't until we got to the window that they said "oh yea we are out of all of those things". Overall impression: I'm really sad that they chose not to give me a free donut on my birthday even though they offer it on a nationwide basis through the online eclub. I love Krispy Kreme, in general. In fact, I think it's my most favorite donut. So my comments are just about my experience with this particular location (which was limited). Basically, I came to Kristy kreme because I thought I could get a free donut on my birthday. When I came to the counter, the manager happened to be there so I asked about the free donut. He promptly told me that, no they don't give a free donut unless I had a coupon from the birthday club. I didn't have a coupon so I ended up just buying the donut. But after thinking about it, I really felt like he should've just given me the donut for my birthday. It doesn't cost the company or the franchise very much, it would've made me very happy, and truthfully, I was planning to buy more donuts after getting the free one, but because he charged me for the donut, I only ended up buying 1. Also, they offer a free donut anyway if you signed up for their eclub (as well as many other free donut days throughout the year) so the company obviously is open to giving people a freebie on certain days and appears to be able to afford it.
