We walked in and there was no line but we waited a few minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We ordered and stepped aside to wait. It was quite busy but one restroom was closed "due to cleaning" and the other was occupied for the entire fifteen minutes we were there. When I finally received my coffee cake and ham and cheese croissant both were ice cold in the middle. Practically inedible. Paid $23 ($3 tip) for the croissant, coffee cake, a cup of milk and a cup of coffee. Ended up throwing most of it away. I hadn't been to Peet's in a few months and now I remember why. read more

Hanging out at Peet's today while I wait for my car at the shop! It's pretty full considering it's 12pm on a Tuesday. There is plenty of seating though! Towards the back there's a large conference style table and some couch chairs. By the entrance, there's a long table for personal seating as well as easily accessible outlets for charging your devices. The staff is very sweet and helpful. I brought my own cup and they were so kind to tell me that there's a $0.25 discount for using your own cup! I got the Iced Sparkling Passion Fruit Black tea. My Stanley is pretty large, but they offered to top off my cup with black tea at no charge since the drink is usually only sold in the size medium. I ordered it half sweet, but be sure to mix it around before you drink it. It's a perfect balance of sweet, tart, and refreshing! read more

Love the Coffee hate the wait...especially from 8:30am through 10am. They are So Understaffed that even my Mobile Orders (and my friend's) are 10-15 minutes Later than Requested. They do have 2 Espresso Machines that they Need operating for All of the "Specialty Drinks" that take about 5 minutes each to make. The Staff are stressed and Customers not happy. The Owner/Managers need to "Staff Up" for their Rush Hours. Plus all of the Hot Food items SLOW Everything down too; an extra Oven could help. read more

I'm always going to like Pete's because it is the first coffee company that I ever drink from like I never had a Starbucks I'll have pizza before that time. And when I started drinking coffee at home it was always Pete's. I fell in love with her hibiscus tea many years ago as well so peace is like a treat for me I wish they had more locations like their competitor but when I do stumble upon one I pop open that app and get my rewards on. This particular day I was in Concord with my girlfriend shopping and we stopped there after our last store to get something cool to drink. I will say this peach rose lemonade sparkling drink that I ordered was not good at all unfortunately I should have stuck with my hibiscus tea but I tried something different cuz it sounds really refreshing and it just didn't have any flavor so not my type of thing unless we just missed an ingredient that day I have no idea what was the situation. This is a standard stop while shopping and dining at The Veranda. Can't think of anything negative about it. My choice over Starbucks any day. Sometimes I feel like the baristas at this location are completely under trained or just winging it. It's always hit or miss at this location and more times than not it's always a miss this location is unfortunately closest to my place of work so when I do feel like treating myself to a coffee, I feel like I have to settle for less at this location and I love Peets coffee, so it's disappointing. More specifically the barista today was terrible, unfortunately I didn't get the grab her name, in the moment I didn't care to, but for the sake of this review I wish I did. These employees minus like 2 of them always have major attitude, especially the baristas. The woman working the bar today was very impolite and unpleasant. I wish I had asked for someone else to make my drink or just not go at all. She first made my drink as a medium and I asked her if she can make it as a large instead because that's what I had ordered and what showed on the sticker placed on the cup. Anyways she took the medium and just poured it into a large and added ice right in front of me. That was rude and if I was feeling better I definitely would have asked her to remake it from scratch but I was hoping this would be a quick stop. After this I waited for my second drink, my sandwhich came out, I'm still waiting. Customers drinks from behind me came out, still waiting. After a few other drinks went out I asked if my second drink was coming and she acted like she had no idea wha I was talking about. Then her response was "oh yeah, it's right there, one sec" and continued to call out the drink that came after mine. I've had many encounters with staff at this location that were upsetting, but the barista there today 2/28 @ 10:30 am, was terrible, she definitely needs more training as a barista but also some customer service tips. The employees at this location also have a hard time ending their conversations to help to customer at hand. All you hear through out the lobby is the employees having the loudest conversation ever from across the room, and then have to wait for them to finish their convo before taking your order or making your drink. Or a few times I would wait in line to ask for something else like a half and half carat on the condiment station or something and I would have to stand there for Eve because they were too busy talking to see me I guess. Wish there was a different peets location with DIFFERENT staff that I can quickly stop by to when working in the area. read more

This is by far the WORST location. I work nearby and have always put in a mobile order with minimal issues. Today I put in an order and it took me about 30 or so mins to actually grab my order. When I went inside I popped over to the mobile order section and politely asked I think her name was Sophie/Sophia if they had an order under my name. She didn't even look up and said " so it's not there?" pointing to the two drinks in the mobile ordering section (I had gotten a drink and a sandwich) which I had already checked before asking, and I let her know that I had already double checked and it wasn't there. She looked at her coworker and asked did we get an order for this name and her coworker quickly said no. She looked back at me and said so yeah we don't have your order. She never asked to look at my order or even ask what I ordered or anything. I've encountered plenty of people saying this is one of the worst locations but I had actually experienced it. I'm a Peets over Starbucks gal so I go to my fair share of Peets around the Bay. This one is across the plaza from Whole Foods and has tons of parking. This one is pretty well kept with very friendly staff! I was there for a couple of hours and the whole time I was there the staff greeted each customer as they came in and when they left. The matcha here is so good! There was no option to make my drink blended via mobile order so I came in to ask the barista Gabby if she could blend it. As far as service, Peets is gone. Only the name and coffee remains. If you want it in any decent amount of time, order ahead. It used to be you could walk into Peets when nobody else was inside and be served right away. Now that they're taking mobile orders, I routinely have to wait 15-20 minutes for a cup of coffee if I walk inside. Mobile orders routinely get pushed in front of mine. If you can't serve the person in front of your face promptly, what's the point of having a place where people can go and drink coffee? read more

Really was a strange experience and something I've never experienced at any other location. I stood in line as one does to place my order for coffee beans. I placed the order and paid and waited and waited for my order. In the meantime the line to order continued to grow and people placed their orders while I continued to wait. I ended up asking the person who took my order when I would get my beans. No expectation given....as I continued to wait. The barista took pity on me after nearly 30 minutes and came over to the bean counter to ask me what I'd ordered and gave me my beans. I'm a Peet's coffee Stan and this was my first experience not feeling welcomed. It's about 6:30 am and I just came from the gym so my shorts are short but who cares. I make my usual order of large americano with 5 Splenda and half and half cream. I had to repeat the order because maybe the cashier was just waking up. After paying for my order I come back to get my large americano. I peer into the hole of the lid and see that it doesn't look full. I open to reveal a space of 1" from the top of the rim of the cup to the coffee! No cream. When I asked for more and cream i felt like I had farted because she looked disgusted that I asked. It is $5.40 for my drink. You wanna get mad because you didn't fill it up and didn't put cream in it? I have never had a problem with Peet's as I feel coffee people are generally cool and inclusive. I couldn't help but feel othered because of who I am. I know that's in my head but that's how I felt. I will continue to visit my favorite location in pleasant hill. I decided I needed an afternoon caffeine pick me up and wanted to try Peet's new brown sugar jelly. Oh noooooo, I wish I hadn't tbh. The jelly doesn't have the taste or texture that's quite right, bleh. If you happen to like the jelly you're gonna pay a lot for a small scoop of the little jelly pellets. The black tea was so watered down it barely tasted like anything. If you want brown sugar jelly go over to Bober. If you're craving a proper milk tea then Happy Lemon is nearby. It wasn't the cheapest drink and feels like a total waste of money. They shouldn't even be charging that much for such a lackluster iced tea. I love that they have priority parking for pick up orders. There seems to be quite a few people sitting outside so the parking lot was fairly full. As I drove in the lot, I was able to drive right in the #1 spot which is kinda cool since I'm the Number One Peetnik. It's like they made the reserved spot just for me! I ordered a Citrus Yuki Black Tea Shaker. It was light and refreshing and hit the spot on that particular super hot day! It's kind of like an Arnold Palmer but the flavor is elevated because it's yuzu, not lemon, and Peet's tea not Lipton. The sweetness level is right on. Next I order, I'll opt for lighter sweetness. My daughter ordered the Strawberry Creme Blended Ice. She's a boba girl so this could easily pass as boba except there's no boba. She ordered it as is and she said it was too sweet. Honey Lavender latte -The way they make this drink here is very floral, but still has a strong espresso taste -I usually like my lattes bitter and sweet, but this recipe was more on the strong bitter espresso side. First time at this location. They are open for business whole COVID 19 is still around. They practice social distancing and mask is required. They provide hand sanitizer. Seating area is closed inside however there is seating available outside. There isn't anything special that I order from Pete's. But I did order the Bacon Cheddar Brioche which was really good. This Peet's is located on the edge of The Veranda plaza. This is a busy area/plaza, so parking may be hit or miss. There is not too much seating here and it is not the best spot to study - it is a bit busy and loud. My go to drinks at coffee shops is usually matcha, since I do not particularly like coffee. I did not really like their Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte or Matcha Frappe here, they had a weird aftertaste and do not taste like matcha to me. Their Iced Caramel Macchiato here is pretty good, but I have to be in a mood for it, since I am not a big fan of coffee. read more

I did not have to go to Todas Santos Plaza to go to Peet's Coffee and find parking. Veranda has better parking spaces to find. The service that I been getting here is amazing. Tom, the guy that's been there since the beginning has given me amazing service. There are other people that been giving me service. First visit, 5 star experience. Staff was friendly with smiles upon their faces. Place was kept clean inside and out. Outdoor seating on a warm Sunday morning made this visit even more enjoyable. The pastries they have all look very fresh, and I can attest that the warmed up ham and Swiss croissant was amazingly tasty and fresh. I'd almost do another one if my wife would let me! the economy is too bad to be paying $8 for a bad drink. this is the only location i have problems with. drinks are unbelievably inconsistent, workers don't even look or smile at you ,and majority of them are rude!! you never know what to expect ordering here because the taste is different everytime even if you only order the same drink. never get greeted and when i try to show appreciation by saying thank you while grabbing my drink...crickets..not even a smile or a glance over. my most recent interaction with dana i believe so and is also some sort of shift lead or manager made me fully stop coming here. i thought i had rewards but the app is never working so i scanned and after realizing i had none she was like "why would you scan it if you don't have any rewards" well because that's how you get points to receive rewards believe it or not! thought she would know that considering she works there. i've seen who i'm assuming is the district leader or some sort of management in there a few times, super nice lady but wish she would consider working on management first before changing everything else read more

We go almost 20 minutes out of our way to visit this location. The staff is super friendly and always peppy. There could be a line out the door and you'd never know they were flustered or overwhelmed. The hot sandwiches and drinks come out in a very timely manner too. I usually get a Cold Brew Fog Latte, and it's always perfect. I've been to other locations where they've forgotten the chicory or something tasted very off, but not here.
