I have visted the Krispy Kreme drive thru many times usually in the evening and have always had a great experience! Donuts are sometimes warm and have never disappointed until today! I asked for a few glazed, 3 chocolate glazed and some specialty ones. Total around $14 for doz. The chocolate glazed ones looked like the chocolate was thin and just slapped on! Horrible!!! I went there this morning (5/13/21) while they had the "Hot & Fresh" light on and ordered a dozen variety donuts and a medium coffee. Drove home hoping to enjoy freshly made donuts only to find frozen donuts in my box. WHAAAAAAAT is this?!?!? I had to place my donut in the microwave just to warm it up. Clearly I wasn't happy about this so I decided to call the location to speak to someone about the issue. No one answered, I called three times and each time after going through all the options to speak with someone and placed on hold, the recording comes back stating to "please leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible." This didn't make me any happier, so I got back in my car and headed right back to the shop. So, there's one person helping another customer, I'm standing there with the box of frozen donuts, cup of coffee that was watered down old brew, and the receipt; mind you, there are at least 6 other employees who all looked at me and did not ask if I needed assistance. So I waited until the young lady finished up with the customer. Now that she's done I'm thinking she'll assist me since I'm standing right there at the register and she saw me walk in, but no, she decided to call on the customer behind me. NOT happening. Sorry but I've been waiting in line and no one wants to help so I'll now just take a refund instead of another box of donuts. For the first coming here, was given the worst customer service. Usually they are very accommodating with my order. I know it's an unorthodox order, but isn't the customer right? The hot order light was on and that's when I like to order warm donuts with no glaze. The counter person flat out said we don't do that. I will not visit this Krispy Kreme location again. I have never encountered a more rude employee than the one I had to deal with on Sunday night. Krispy Kreme advertises hot and ready donuts. She rolled her eyes at him making him flustered, she was glaring at me, had the worst attitude and literally for no reason at all just wanted to ruin our day. Absolutely horrible customer service. I drove 30 minutes to redeem a birthday reward. After the girl behind the counter got my dozen original glazed donuts (birthday reward) as well as some additional donuts I was planning to purchase, the girl rang me up. I told her I had a birthday reward on my account and she said she couldn't scan my reward. I showed her my email I received for my birthday reward 2 days ago and she said I had to redeem it that day. I showed her the text of the email said I could redeem it anytime this month and she told me I could only redeem it the day I received the email. I told her again that's not what the email says and she then asked me when my birthday actually is, to which I replied it's in 3 days, which of course she replied with "then maybe you should come back then and see if it works." What the heck!!!! She told me to call 1-800-4KRISPY but didn't know what the purpose of that phone call would be, she told me to just call them and see. I left, as I needed to be somewhere and didn't purchase any of the donuts. Extremely disappointed. [Out-of-Towner Review] Of course you taunt me off the freeway... Every. Damn. Time! As I was driving to my best friends new house, I figured why wouldn't this be an acceptable housewarming gift? This is way better than any flowers or something they don't really care about, right? There was no one else in line, so the process was really quick. This was the day after Black Friday and they handed me a Krispy Kreme box that was Halloween themed. They didn't have the "Hot" sign on, so they weren't freshly warm out of the oven (or fryer), but they were still light, fluffy, and delicious as ever. So here's my story about Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. When I see that pink box coming into the office, my heart goes pitter patter. Me love cookie, but me love donut too. And when me go to donut box, me go "ARRRRRRnomnomnomnomnomnom". Krispy Kreme, on the other hand, is in a different category. One, their box is white, not pink. Two, I like substance with my donuts, and there's less with their jelly donuts, and far, far less with the ubiquitous glazed donut. Three, I guess when you classify yourself as gourmet, then you offer less food, and Krispy Kreme doughnuts are smaller than most others. If it was glazed only, I'd give them a 2. I bite into a KK glazed, and my teeth think there's nothing there. A lot of glaze, but that's about it. And getting it down is like a chore rather than a joy. The jelly ones are far better, and there are a lot of choices, so averaged out, that makes this review a 3. The store? A fun place to go. Order your dozen, sit down at the table and eat. The kitchen is open, so the kids can see their donuts being made. They do community events too, such as supporting schools, one free glazed if you're wearing a Halloween costume, etc. Good parking, or you can do your main shopping in the Willows and walk over here for your sweets fix. I'll be real, though: I see few donut shops on Yelp with an average of less than 4.5 stars. Krispy Kreme is one of the few with less than 4 stars. (By mistake, I just wrote "one of the ew", and concerning their glazed, that mispeling is quite accurate!) Too mushy and kinda small. Review #063 - 2016 I honestly can't even recall the last time I had a Krispy Kreme doughnut, but lately I've been seeing so many photo posts on Yelp & Facebook that I had to go out of my way to pick up a dozen of the original glazed. It was a Monday evening around 6 PM when my son & I made our way over, fighting the commute traffic just to satisfy my sugar craving. I decided to use the drive thru and there were 4 or 5 other cars ahead of us. It took about 7-10 minutes to get our order. As soon as I got the box from David, I just had to pull over, snap a quick photo and then swiped a doughnut from the box to satisfy my craving. It was so nice, warm and fresh. When the kid wants sprinkles, you get the kid sprinkles! My son was feeling under the weather and to cheer him up I asked him if he wanted a doughnut. With out hesitation he exclaimed, he wanted a doughnut with sprinkles. Heavy on the sprinkles. We went through the drive through. Its really convenient to just be able to drive up and get one doughnut. You don't have to drag your kids in there and stand in line. I woke up the other morning craving Krispy Kreme Donuts - it had been a while. Got to work, still craved KKD. Saw a Groupon for 2 dozen for $10 and knew it was a sign. But I was busy all day and kind of forgot about my craving. Until of course I was driving home late that evening and saw their sign from the freeway. I got off the freeway and headed to the Willows Shopping Center. I bought the Groupon in the parking lot, and then once inside I realized it was only for the original glazed donuts, so I ended up saving the coupon on my phone and ordering a box of assorted donuts including chocolate and sprinkles and maple. Elizabeth was really friendly as she rang me up. At the end, she pointed out on the receipt that taking the online survey will reward you with a BOGO coupon for another free dozen donuts. I live for the hot light at Krispy Kreme ;) The last time we were there, we had to kill 45 minutes in the store before the light came on and the donuts marched down the conveyor belt. That doesn't sound so bad but if you have five little ones to keep patient, it's a long time. It's fun but tiring. Never a dull moment with my family ;) Yeah, they over saturated the market for a while and had to down size and even closed up this location a couple years ago (?) but it looks like they're back and I am happy! They do have great donuts, especially the glazed ones. If you get one from the red light batch, they literally melt in your mouth! I made more than a few folks happy the other day by swinging by and buying a whole box of original glazed. Then, I attempted to drive them back to ridiculously hot CValley Sacratomato to share with loved ones. They saw and they smiled....all for them... not even sure where a local Sacramentan can even get KK these days (the one down the street from us closed down years ago), actually. The sugar glaze was not in its best shape, mind you, but there is something absolutely creamy about the texture of these donuts. Sorta the way a buttermilk bar tastes, but not exactly. There used to be a Krispy Kreme in Pinole and that was dangerously close to my house. At least now I'd have to be in the area to buy some donuts. I won't simply drive the 30 minutes just for a batch of warm fresh off the line glazed donuts...... ok maybe I will. But this place is delicious. A little tricky to find. I kept seeing it as I got onto the freeway and finally found which parking lot it was in. It's hidden in the back corner of a parking lot, really making people work for their donuts. Naturally for embarrassed donut connoisseurs, they have a drive thru, so you can hide in your car while you order 5 dozen maple glaze for yourself and don't have to look like a fatty. I came here about 5mins ago. I was really excited to get their green glazed donuts in celebration of St. Patricks Day weekend. I overheard a customer trying to order them as well, and was told they didnt have any. How disappointing! I am seriously concerned whether they have cleaned their machines within the last 2 years. All the dough in the proofing chamber are sticking together. Many of the donuts do not even come out round anymore. Makes me wonder, how longs its been, since they really did a deep cleaning. If they havent done this, what else havent they cleaned? The defective ones are supposedly discarded, which is a shame. They should probably do a deep cleaning to prevent more loss. However, this does not appear to be this locations priority. I used to love this location as it is closest to my home. There was no line in there and this time we went through the drive through. Tonight we tried a new donut; the minis. I'm not sure how popular they were but they were really cold.
