We went for donuts yesterday (June 15th) armed with a list of requests from their own website. We don't often go to Krispy Kreme, so our familiarity with their menu is limited to original glazed. The list we got from their website included cinnamon buns, a pineapple donut that was featured online, some other cinnamon things, apple fritters and cake donuts. When we asked for the pineapple donut (which, again, was one featured online) the response was an annoyed "we don't even make that one anymore." We got the same response for a couple others. Then, even the ones they DID make were sold out. Finally we just got original glazed. The customer service was absolutely terrible. If their selection was that limited you would've thought they would say something warning customers in the beginning. Like "hey, I know you just said you wanted to get a dozen, so I just want to let you know we have a limited selection right now." Now I remember why we don't go there often. read more

Just drove out of my way to grab an Eclipse Donut and surprise- they're all out. Had a sign on door saying they wouldn't be serving them until 7am. Then the 7 was scribbled out and had an 8am. It was 7:35am. And when I inquired about the donut status the answer was "we don't know when we'll have some. Could be 9am." When another customer asked to get 1/2 dozen chocolate glazed donuts the employees response was "do you see any chocolate donuts here." Wow! Bad attitudes and the staff all seemed miserable. Whoever is managing this location picked the wrong people to serve the customers and made a huge mistake by not planning properly to have enough donuts. Major disappointment. read more

First let me start off by saying I am a huge fan of Krispy Kreme. This particular location however, not so much. We went there this morning and the experience was far from good. We waited in line for over 30 minutes. Keep in mind there were only about 5 people in front of us. There were initially 2 people working the counter, but then one left leaving the other person to wait on all of the customers. We came at 11:05 to the drive through and the employees refused to acknowledge us. All signage and online hours state that this location is a 24 hour drive through. We called the store and the employee that answered said "we are not open," we stated that the posted hours were 24/7 and they replied, "we are not"...Whether all posted hours are incorrect, or the employees are refusing to work, management needs to make some changes. There were multiple cars that drove through and none were acknowledged. Even if they were actually closed the employees that were standing in the store talking and doing nothing could have at least come to the window and said sorry we are closed. Very poor customer service. read more

The staff was pretty unfriendly and there wasn't much jelly in the doughnuts. I'd find a different location.

They left me sitting in drive thru for 20 minutes they forgot about me. Don't be their only customer

I went today to get some donuts for my family and I got the help I needed from a young employee named Adric, he was patient and professional. I will definitely go back and the donuts were delicious. read more

Can't go wrong with fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts! Being from NYC, where the only Krispy Kreme is in Penn and the doughnuts are never warm, this was beyond heaven. Ordering original glazed doughnuts gets you them literally got off the doughnut maker - so basically straight from heaven! read more

Just went threw drive threw at 9:00p.m with 3 cars in front and 4 cars behind us. We pull up they don't answer the drive threw for about 10 min finally asking us what we would like we try to order dozen original glazed and another dozen half original half chocolate... they proceeded to tell us that they were out of everything but original glazed so we said ok we will just take a dozen original and 2 got chocolates.. they then proceeded to tell us all the drink machines are broke down the insides already closed because they close at 10 then say we are actually about to close now granted it's only 9:15 at this time... just thought you all should know how the store on bardstown rd is being ran read more

This location is in a cute vintage building, and they have the glazed doughnuts at weird hours of the night. I am so glad I lived by this establishment while I was pregnant. read more

Ok, I know they are just donuts and to be frustrated by donuts is silly. With that said, the experience today was simply ridiculous. Hey Krispy Kreme-don't advertise a product if you can't be certain you can produce. The store did not have any eclipse donuts because of "technical difficulty". However, customers could hang around until 7am, which was an iffy time. Ok, no eclipse donuts-fine, I went with the glazed. Were the donuts hot? No. Were they warm? No. The person at the window pulled the donuts out of the front case while the carousal was just circling around filled with fresh, hot donuts. Then, it took forever for the staff person to complete the transaction because she was having detailed, lengthy conversations with other customers in the drive thru about the eclipse donuts. read more

Listen. If anyone loves Krispy Kreme...it's me. I'm a Krispy Kreme connoisseur. And let me tell you. I was so excited when I recently moved to Louisville from Indianapolis (there aren't any free standing shops up there anymore). So tonight, when my husband and I take the kids to grandmas for the first time in months...what do we want to do at 11:30pm? Eat Krispy Kreme like any other awesome human beings, of course. So, I got online and the website said it's open until 12am. So we drive there, and the doors were locked! The ladies inside were just staring at us. There was a group of guys inside drinking coffee and enjoying delicious donuts just watching us suffer. But the drive through was open 24 hours! What! It's not the same. 5 other cars drove up while we were there trying to go in as well! I'm so disappointed. read more

Just had the worst customer service experience here. Apparently, their lobby is under construction, we didn't know that and walked over with our two kids. They would not let us walk through their drive through. While I understand that there might be safety concerns, there was no reason to be rude to a family with two small children who just wanted a donut. They acted like we were complete idiots for walking there and that we were trying to get away with something by walking through the drive thru. They're great donuts but the rudeness was just inexcusable. read more

Slowest service ever. Asked for two boxes of coffee and two dozen donuts. The lady takes 20 minutes to fill two containers of coffee an doesn't ask another employee to get the donuts while she is filling the coffee. So we then got to wait another 10 minutes for her to box the donuts. Then of course, we had to wait for her to bag up some creamers, sugar packets, and stir sticks. Left an hour early for work to be able to stop and get coffee and donuts on the way, apparently that wasn't enough time. read more

We arrived at KK tonight @ 11pm. No worries though KK has been open 24 hours for years. Tonight I pulled on the door and they're locked. The sign says the lobby is closed now at 11pm on Saturdays. This appears to be a trend. They have a new remodeled look complete with 2 handicap parking spots front and center to support the burgeoning numbers of people who are on disability who are not even close to disabled. Meanwhile we've seen at least 25 people turned away because the door is locked and we've been here 23 minutes. We've been coming here for years and this is our last trip. My advice to you is to do what I'm going to do and sell all your Krispy Kreme stock because if management is this stupid then I don't want my money invested in these guys. This is representative of a trend in the United States toward less customer service which will ultimately translate to a decline in earnings. American companies have now tipped the scale and have become too aggressive on cost cutting measures. It it a sad day in America. This may signal the top, the high point of American glory. After eating Krispy Kreme donuts, one shouldn't bother to eat donuts elsewhere :) You'll be very disappointed! There is just something about the Krispy Kreme yeast recipe that is out of the world good. So light, fried up crisp on the outside and soft and cotton-like on the inside. Perfection! Gotta love the hot off the line original glazed! My favorite donut is their glazed cream filled. Again, their cream reigns supreme compared to anywhere else. I was always a huge custard fan until I have this cream. Their seasonal donuts are always fun and generally pretty good. I really like their cake-like donuts too, with blueberry being my fav. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the inconsistency in service. At my last visit, there were 5 employees behind the counter and one at the door and not a single one greeted customers, no one smiled or even made eye contact with the customers. It was very rushed and impersonal. Friendliness and simple courtesy go a long way. read more

Ugh...I hate to even write this, because this location has always been a favorite of mine, I love the fact that it has a drive thru and is open 24/7...many nights when I was a student at uofl my friends and I would make a late night trip for those fresh out of the oven donuts. They are indescribably good. So, after moving to Maryland with my husband and living nowhere close to a Krispy Kreme for a few years, when we moved back, I was anxious to take him so he could experience the deliciousness! The hot sign wasn't on (first time it hadn't been on that I have visited, but you can't win them all I suppose!) we figured no big deal, they will still be great. Boy, was I wrong. We ordered 4 donuts (2 regular glazed, one chocolate glazed with sprinkles, and one glazed creme filled), one for now and one for breakfast the next day. The employee placed my change, a dollar and several coins, on top of the box then handed it to me, spilling change all in my car. Other than that the service was okay, nothing to write home about. As for the actual donuts...The original glazed were awful...something was just off, even the texture. The Krispy kremes in the cases at gas stations, and sold in boxes at grocery store were better than these. The glaze was weirdly crunchy, just a total miss, and it tasted like a bad knockoff of a Krispy Kreme. My glazed creme filled was okay the next morning, and my husband said the chocolate with sprinkles was fine, but I can't pretend that I wasn't disappointed in this location... read more

I usually get fresh donuts from this location especially when the "serving hot donuts" sign is on. I don"t know if they are under new mangement, but today I picked up a dozen of glazed on my way to work and they were so stale they had to go in the trash. read more
