Visited for dinner on a Friday night. A little after 5:30p. I was sad to see that happy hour stops…read moreat 5:30p. Inside was pretty slow. By the time we left, it seemed to be a little more busy. I'm pretty sure there was only one waitress for both the bar and the dining room floor. The menus were sticky, especially the happy hour and drink my news. Lots of different cocktails. I ordered a margarita and was asked if I wanted a flavor. I asked for mango but then was told later they were out. So I went with blackberry. The drink was fine. It wasn't the best margarita I've ever had though. It's called O Grizzly's and there's some Oakland University nods inside. There were quite a few patrons wearing Golden Grizzly gear, there was a basketball game that night. But the place still feels gimmicky to me. A way to market Oakland University people and get them in the door but doesn't do much else after that. There really doesn't feel like a true affiliation with the University. Bathrooms are single stall and felt clean. The menu is not too overwhelming. Went with the blooming onions and they were absolutely delicious. Hot onions with a crunchy batter and a yummy dipping sauce. I went with the Tandoor wings as it was really played up on their menu. I got medium for sauce. My husband got chicken tenders and we ordered a side of fries. I was disappointed with my chicken wings. They were a good size but the skin was rubbery and some of the chicken tasted chewy. Also, the sauce was very runny, didn't really stick to the chicken wings. I am not sure where the Tandoor part was to the wing? They gave about five half sticks sliced in half of celery for nine wings, not enough at all. I asked for blue cheese but was given ranch. The fries were thicker, cut, and swirly, which are interesting and they had a good seasoning on them. Our waitress was friendly and decently attentive, considering she had to serve every table and run the bar. Food was coming out decently fast. But getting our check and cashing out took a while. It got to the point where my husband just went up to the bar where she was so we could cash out.

Went for a second time, despite my last review…read more My son insisted on the chicken fingers again. Daughter required a pepperoni pizza. My wife had the fajitas and I decided on the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. The food came relatively quick. The chicken fingers were about the same but my son was happy. The pizza was pretty nondescript. I'd compare it to a low grade high school pizza with really nothing to recommend it. My wife appreciated the large size of the fajitas and salad but also found the fajitas unusually spicy. Sadly, the Nashville Chicken didn't really taste at all like Nashville Chicken. It wasn't bad but it just wasn't what was expected. The fries were good and we like the seasoning. But that's about the highlight of the night. I think this really will be the last time for me.

I would not make the drive to come this specific location but if I am in the area I would stop buy…read moreif I happen to be VERY hungry. The customer service was great I will give it that. However, foodwise it falls a little short right at 2.5 stars reason being is that my friend ordered a medium rare steak but had to send it back because it was very bloody and the meat was very red and when she got a another steak it still wasn't cooked the way she had ordered it. My mac n cheese had more of an alfredo sauce taste rather than a cheesy sauce with hardly any bacon it also came out cold. I did order a baked potato on the side without sour cream and they did add the sour cream however the waiter was kind enough to bring me a potato without sour cream so no issues there. Again, the service was great but the food fell a little short.

Direct compare and contrast to Texas Roadhouse. Beers are smaller. Ambiance is definitely more…read moreupscale. The steak is much lower quality than Texas Roadhouse and cost $2 more. For a "professionally grilled" steak the lower end of the strip and the entire filet was WAY overcooked and was served barely warm as were the very salty mushrooms and the mushy overcooked asparagus. Overall, I would rate this steak a 7/10 compared to the 9.5/10 at Texas Roadhouse. We went to both restaurants at 6:30pm on a Saturday and both parking lots were packed. Texas Roadhouse is a bigger restaurant and served a MUCH better steak. My wife said the salmon here was better and less salty.
