    Steak and truffle fries
    Adrianna R.

With a warm rustic feel, this place invites you in for a delicious dinner. We were seated promptly and immediately offered to put in a drink order. Feeling hungrier, I wanted something with more protein so I got the burger. TRUST-- this is not a basic burger. It had a little aioli on the top and then some sort of marmalade on the bottom that brought this burger to the next level. I ate every single last bite. I am allergic to truffle so I could not partake but the regular fries were enjoyable. My partner ordered the steak and truffle fries.

Service was 5/5! Food was good, nothing special., the prices were to high for pretty average fish and brisket pasta

I think I have a new favorite spot in downtown St Petersburg! Great intimate atmosphere, lovely staff and a really creative menu. Glasses of wine were reasonably priced and my cavatelli with roasted mushrooms was divine. They have a set menu as well as a changing in season specialty menu to choose from. I'm already looking forward to our next visit!

We recently visited Brick & Mortar while on vacation, and overall the experience just didn't match the price point. Our total was about $160 plus tip for three adult meals and one child meal, and unfortunately the food wasn't memorable enough to justify that cost. We ordered the grouper and the short rib pasta. Both dishes were OK--nothing terrible, but nothing exciting either, and not something I'd go back for. The part of the evening that stood out the most wasn't the meal, but an uncomfortable situation outside. We were seated outdoors because we had our dog with us, and a homeless individual approached our table multiple times, even attempting to take items from it. It seemed like he was familiar with the owner, who walked him over to the pizza place next door at one point, possibly to get him food. While I appreciate compassion, the repeated interruptions made the meal stressful, especially for my kids who were alarmed by the situation. Overall, the combination of average food and an uncomfortable dining environment means I don't think we'll be returning.

    Grouper special!

Brick and Mortar a St Pete classic always serves up delicious entrees and incredible wines. We enjoyed the lamb lollipops, the short ribs and tagliatelle pasta delish and fresh catch was yummy grouper. Service was amazing and dinner was great! Note: they do not take reservations so come early to get a table or expect a wait. Well worth every bite and sip!

Came back again and remembered to take photos. Great place once again. The burger is unbelievably good.

The burger was pretty good. Solid pretzel bun. I liked the bacon onion jam. The burg as a whole was strangely salty, but I kinda liked it. Fries weren't bad either. The real show stoppers were the curry spice smoked pulled pork poutine and the carpaccio of beef tenderloin with house ravioli. Seriously, those were things were divine. The staff was also great! Very professional. I'd come again.

Another fantastic dinner at Brick & Mortar! We enjoyed the seasonal sweet potato ravioli, the bouillabaisse and amatriciana pasta - all delicious and full of flavor. Our waiter was very friendly, helpful and patient (we always struggle deciding what to eat here because everything is so good!) Definitely recommend and will be back again!

This place always puts out amazing food and service and this night was no different. I only wish they accepted reservations because if on the weekend and are going to a concert or other event with a timeline, I often write off coming here for dinner because I don't want to take the chance that they can't seat me in time. Still the best burger in the city and excellent seasonal menu choices. We started with the grilled octopus and bottle of Bordeaux tonight and the grouper special of the night (which I forgot to photograph) was as beautifully plated as it was delicious!

The place is sooo cute i think i just caught them on a day they were short staffed. So very long wait times and i saw my server maybe 3 times, opted out of ordering drinksand dessert because i just couldn't wait anymore. The short rib pasta had more Brussel sprouts than anything. It was a good idea but idk i wanted more meat than brussel sprouts for the price in the plate, or at least an equal ratio. Willing to try again but not eager to revisit.

A lot of friends recommended this spot. Delicious Burger and pasta. Cute smaller restaurant with an outdoor patio. Our server was very sweet and helpful. Just beer and wine on the menu.

    Tuna tartare

So so good. First time trying it out per family recs and so glad we did. Tuna tartare app was seriously unreal - candied ginger with the wasabi aioli was so delicious. Absolutely obsessed with their short rib pasta, I was blow. Away. Huge portion. Their duck breast was phenomenal ektn the smoky flavor. Just a heads up they only have beer and wine. But wow we had an amazing dinner

Bouillabaisse of seafood with coconut & spicy red curry broth
    Alanna M.

First tried this place 3 years ago and had to come back on our return trip to St. Pete (and got the exact same thing, it's just too good). The ahi tuna had crystallized ginger and kimchi on the side that paired with the tuna SO well. The duck was so tender and flavorful it literally fell off the bone. The couscous and the labneh was such a great accompaniment. The bouillabaisse, however, is such a winner it's a MUST order. The broth is such a complex mix of flavors and the seafood is so tender--large portion, too.

On my pick 3 board I got sopressata salami dry cured with chili peppers and black peppercorns, smoke hatchpepper Gouda and Cana de Cabra goat cheese from Spain. My waitress said the Cana de Cabra spanish goat cheese was "off the chain" and she waaaas NOT lying! skip the rind, but definitely try this cheese and expect blast off on your taste buds fr. It was earthy and velvety and creamy, just so good. Brooke was fantastic, as was this restaurant. Definitely worth checking out!

We like to taste the meat and the balsamic kinda covered it up a bit. Next we had the chorizo stuffed tomatoes. Delicious! Perfect size for 2 to share. Lots of flavors. Really good. Solid wine spot and I'm a really chill, non central spot.
