Why is it always a different amount every time for the same thing? The prices should be posted and the customer should know what they are getting. There needs to better communication to prevent the customer from being exploited. I paid over 200$ for a spa pedicure and a regular gel manicure for myself and for my daughter an acrylic manicure and a gel pedicure. Maybe Im old fashioned but I can no longer afford this. It's a shame. But the prices need to be more reasonable. They are going to price themselves right out of the market. I will go elsewhere next time. sorry. not sorry. read more

Amazing!!! I should have sent this review sooner, but I spent the last week gazing lovingly at my fingertips. I've been searching for a new manicurist- long story but my last regular spot was not clean. I've been to a few new places/people recently and got disappointing manis. FINALLY I found Kristy's nails and especially, Danny! I loved everything about my manicure. Usually, when I have a man do my nails (not to be sexist) they're usually too rough. Danny was gentle and methodical. He was careful not to damage my natural nail while removing the old layers of acrylic/polish. His new work is basically flawless. He patched a broken nail perfectly. I was a little undecided about polish color so he suggested trying both colors to help me decide. He went above and beyond. I don't like to be difficult, but he just made it so easy- you can tell he takes great pride in a job well done. read more

I made an appointment and showed up on time. The owner did my pedicure and then took several other customers while I waited over 30 minutes for my manicure. Finally, I said to her that I've been waiting over 30 minutes and she accused me of being late as the cause of my waiting which I wasn't. Then she did my manicure very quickly and haphazardly. They don't have enough staff, their attitude is poor and the owner tries to squeeze as many people in with no consideration of the people she already has. I went here for a gel manicure this morning and the staff were extremely friendly... the nail tech did a wonderful job and was very gentle with my cuticles and nails. I used to love this place pre-pandemic, but it's clear that it changed owners at some point because it's just not the same. The furniture has been rearranged, half of the lights were out, it's not as clean as it used to be, etc. Most importantly, the quality of the pedicure was just not what it used to be. I used to love Kristy's but I will never go back unless it is with Jean. The nail tech had no idea what he was doing. I asked to switch to regular polish instead of gel but he used gel polish instead of regular just without UV light. He had to do two rounds of gel removal on my nails because he didn't rub down the gel enough the first time. He has to ask me which hand he started on because he couldn't remember. He also used pedicure soap on my cuticles instead of oil. Finally, they were playing disco techno music. Very far from a spa experience. Overall very very bad experience. read more

Staff is very friendly and caring. They offer a large selection of polish and offer different kinds such as gel, anc, and regular. I got UV gel full set and they did it in a timely manner and very good quality; no air bubbles or smudging. With an accent nail, it cost me $42 which a regular UV gel set is $35 and a regular full set is $25. I am a regular and will continue to come and would recommend this to anyone. read more

I would say it's a good place to get your regular mani or pedi, but not if you're interested in being pampered and relaxed. Unfortunately, this is the 2nd negative experience that I've had at Kristy's Nails on Damon Rd., Northampton. I don't understand the rave reviews? I had to diligently watch, coach, & revise the pedicurist multiple times because they were not following the length & shape I requested. Nothing out of the ordinary either. I had a really disappointing experience here today. My dentist appointment earlier in the say getting my teeth cleaned was more relaxing. The nail technician was so rude, barely spoke to me and just barked orders like I was interrupting his day. My pedicure came out extremely rushed looking and sloppy. There was nail polish all over my toes and my nails were slanted unevenly. Honestly my toes looked better before I got there. Very disappointing use of $25. I ended up redoing my pedicure myself at home to try to undo the damage. read more

I wish you could see my nails, a week before my daughter's wedding. My toes are so bad, I'm going to have to buy new shoes. I'd be mortified to wear sandals to the wedding. A different person did my nails and they are slightly less bad, but they will have to be redone too. Orchid, the owner told me they'd grow out eventually when I complained to her. Very friendly salon. There is no price list for services, and I did ask the cost before deciding to try this salon for the first time. It was a nice experience, and she did a nice job, however, I was quoted one price and charged more than twice the quote. As friendly as they are, I will not return. read more

All though they're very nice and accommodating here my gel nails lasted less than a week. They are all chipped and had air bubbles in them. I also got a gel pedicure and it lasted less than a week you can see the paint streaks in my toe nails :( I spent 55$ dollars on this and am not happy with the results read more

Went in for a specific acrylic look. I brought in a photo and explicitly said what design I wanted and got plain pink nails! I was told to come another day to get the design done but I paid 40 dollars for nails I did not ask for, right before prom. Very disappointed and definitely not going again. read more

My friends recommended this place to me there nails always look good. I went Friday afternoon got my real nails painted and by Saturday night the paint was chipping and the woman who did my nails didn't wait for the paint to fully dry and still went right along with putting a top coat on. You should see my nails, they all chipped and turned yellow within 3 days of getting them done. When i left the salon my nails were sticky and clumpy. My nails were also over expensive. It wasn't worth the long trip. read more
