This was a milestone event for our family, and the cake completely missed the mark. The texture was dry and crumbly, the flavor tasted stale, and the overall quality was nowhere near what you would expect for a custom celebration cake. It was not something I felt comfortable serving to guests, which was both embarrassing and frustrating given the significance of the occasion. What made matters worse was how the situation was handled. After reaching out to the store, there was no sense of urgency or accountability from the team. I was told I needed to drive back across town and bring the cake in for them to examine it--something that frankly should have been ensured before it was ever sold. For a large, pre-ordered cake tied to a major event, that level of quality control should be a given. I also spoke with Matthew, who was dismissive and unhelpful. There was little to no empathy for the situation, and my concerns were not taken seriously at all. The overall response felt like an inconvenience to them rather than an attempt to make things right. If you're considering ordering a cake for an important occasion, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. Based on my experience, the quality and customer service at this location are simply not reliable.

I almost always find what I need here, great quality, wide selection, and especially handy when my kids suddenly need something for school, like a themed outfit or supplies. I can count on Meijer to have it. The store is clean, well-organized, and the customer service is friendly and helpful. They offer both self-checkout and staffed counters, making the billing process smooth and flexible, which I really appreciate. I've never had any issues shopping here. They also offer some great deals on produce, and one of my favorite sections is the plant corner. I've picked up several beautiful plants over time and always look forward to checking it out. Overall, Meijer remains one of my favorite and most dependable places to shop, clean, convenient, and well-stocked (most of the time!). Highly recommend!

Lazy culture comes from the top and clearly the Deli Manager & The Store Manager are just going through the motions as their negligence has allowed this culture to exist. Dietz & Watson should pull their products from this hack shop. We will be finding a new place to give our money to. Good luck during the upcoming recession!!!

If you're not down to be around a crowd, don't go on Wednesdays. They are really great for their produce, as well as Halal meat, nuts, and spices. I also like olive oil imported from Greece, and they stock it. You can also get unique cheeses and middle eastern yogurt. The good news, is for those looking for "American" ingredients, you can find them there as well. The bummer-in the refrigerated section they don't do the best job with keeping an eye on dates. For example, I purchased some boiled chickpeas and they were bad (spoiled). Some of the tabouli salad lacked brightness and looked like it was time to get off the shelf. The staff has always been friendly with me, and the lines move very fast. Another bummer is the parking lot. It's CRAZY and I've almost been in so many accidents there. Be very very careful.

I told him I did not buy any bulghur, only masri rice and bulk chick peas listed at 0.49c/lb. The owner heard me and rushed over. The chick peas are not 49 cents he stated. "That was a sale and the sale ended yesterday." I said well if the sale ended, then remove the sign that says 49cents/lb. He answers "Ma Bady" meaning I don't want to. Instead of being worried that his cashier was charging me an additional $3 that he may be pocketing, he is arguing over a few cents in the cost of the chick peas. This owner needs a lesson in customer service.
