Great store, especially if you're on the hunt for markdown items as we always are. Very helpful staff. The pharmacy in particular is full of awesome people. I used to go to the Westland pharmacy; not gonna go into details, but I'm extremely glad I switched to this one and would recommend it highly. Overall, no complaints here. Nice DELI to Cart Finds! I frequent this store, for just about everything I forget each time I go! Really like the Boars'Head Coby-Jack and their Selection Smoke Mesquite Turkey. Slice by request. Even the Bakery Area, always fully stocked! More varieties would ne nice. But since the 'local stay' I use Kroger.com sometimes for most of my grocer must haves, at Pickup. What Else to know...It has a STRATEGIC Tactic - Floral Business! You know like on Mothers and Memorial Day! How you cannot round certain corners or exits without seeing all the Colors and Deals!! It is difficult to pass this area without Literally, smelling the roses too. Don't take my word for it...lol I'm a huge fan of the Daisies and Lily's. Pedals are okay, if they don't have my choices! Lasting tip: Flowers are affordably priced. You can get the Floaty Loons to attach for gifting. May be eh crowded area at times. For your convenience, there are pre~wrapped Color to Stem beauts...priced for grab and pay. read more

Maybe it's because they are going through their remodeling - but it seems like their meat selection has been very slim. Or it could be that i'm not impressed anymore since the Kroger in Redford was closed back in April, so now I need to drive. ::sad face:: Honestly - I wish they had better sales but I will say they won my heart when i needed some grocery at 8am. I like my house. On the patio I can see the planes takeoff and land at the DTW airport, but I'm far enough I don't pickup the thunderous plane noise. Since I like my house I always prefer relaxing in it as much as I can. A good grocery store helps me do stay in my place to unwind. The local Kroger is heavily diverse in patrons and and selection of foods represent that. This Kroger is super clean and 80% of the checkout lanes are open during prime hours (4pm -9pm). Since I'm good to shop right after work I'm looking for items that can be prepared fast but are not heavy on the preservatives or frozen meals take. This stores deli had a nice selection of local stuff, like kowalski spaghetti salad, greenfield village spiral sliced ham (took a double look cause the ham was nicely seasoned in a takeout package ready to snap up), spinach and ham salads,etc. On today's trip I chose an orzo salad with sundries tomatoes and olives. Got some caramel cake slices from the bakery that won't see sundown tonight. Talk about super clean throughout, from the shelves to the meat display. (Attached a pic it is squeaky clean.) Got asked if I need any help from every Dept. I stopped at, and easily every staff member meant it. Great Scott Kroger! read more

There are places I'd much rather do my grocery shopping but in a pinch or for a big job where I need a lot of staples I don't mind coming here. Being a big grocery chain the prices aren't terrible and most everything is fresh. The problem is that I do try and eat more organic, especially when it comes to certain fruits/veggies and meat and they have a very limited produce selection and very little organic meat to speak of. They do have a smallish health/organic section which is good, but they don't have a ton of variety. If I need special ingredients for baking I have trouble finding it here but for basic flour, sugar, egg, butter, they've got it. I also totally love their brand ice cream. The caramel sea salt truffle is the bomb, yo! I do like that every time you use your Kroger card you not only save money in store but you acrue point to discounted gas at their gas station out front. On big shopping months (like around holidays) I've saved as much as .40 off a gallon of gas which is nice when gas prices are so high. Overall it's your basic big chain grocery store but cleaner and much better organized compared to other Kroger's I've been to in the area. But for specialty stuff it's better to go elsewhere. read more

This store is unpleasant on a good day, but today was the worst I have ever experienced in any grocery store. Shelves were empty, aisles were cluttered with carts and empty boxes, only two cashiers on duty and more than half of the U-Scan out of order. Some employees were standing around gabbing instead of stocking or clearing things up. The employees who were stocking shelves managed to block the aisles and make reaching products difficult, but didn't even bother to move or apologize. Many advertised items were not available at all. The only lunch meats available in the pre-packaged area were ham ... no beef or turkey. No management staff was visible anywhere. In the frozen food section, the few items available were on shelves too high to reach, or way at the back. I realize that many items may be unavailable due to the pandemic, but if they can't be perfectly stocked they could at least make the store tidy and not leave aisles blocked and cluttered. Perhaps if they spent less money on your silly ads and invested in training employees they might do better. read more

Was informed that this Kroger was refurbed, maybe they read my review. First the good, looks bright and clean Now the bad, everything has been moved around, there is merchandise crowding the aisles that interfer with navigating carts, and the dairy products are not kept up to date, found expired items that were a month past use by date more than once, smh. Also long lines mean waiting because not enough cashiers/baggers. read more

Normally I have no problems at this Kroger. Today, I returned some cans and 4 of them wouldn't go through the machine. I waited in the customer service line to cash in my other slips and told the the woman at the counter that these 4 can would not go through. Normally, they take the cans and give you the refund providing they are Michigan returnable and the store carries the brand. These were Pabst cans from MI. Instead, she sent me back to the bottle room for assistance. I stated that I didn't want to wait in line again, but she assured me that the bottle person would give me the 40 cents. So I went back to the bottle room and was told by the bottle guy that I needed to take them to the serice desk. As anyone can imagine, this is way too much of a hassle for 40 cents. Back at the service desk, a different woman told me that they would have to send someone to the beer isle to see if the store carried that particular "flavor". I stated that they are just cans and they are returnable. That is when I gave up and left. read more

Love this Kroger store. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, great selections of meat, fruits and vegetables. Yummy , fresh sushi, baked goods, fresh flowers, an extensive wine and liquor department, easy to find and negotiate the store. read more

This store is so crowded. You can barely have two carts passing each other in the aisle. Better hope there isn't s pop-up stand in the aisle or you will never get through. read more

I had a terrible experience. The pharmacy technician Madison and the pharmacist Sara are so rude and disrespectful. I called Madison 3 days ago and she said my medication will be ready in an hour but when I went to pick it up she said it's not ready, come after 3 days. I called after 3 days and she said it will be ready in an hour but when I got there she said it's not ready, I cannot fill it which doesn't make any sense. She doesn't know what she is doing. She was raising her voice in the drive through phone and yelling of mistakes she kept doing two times in a row. She said you can leave the pharmacy and transfer your prescriptions. I talked to the pharmacist Sara about this terrible experience that happened two times in a row. She said I don't handle complaints even though she is a pharmacist and can do that. She also said you can leave and transfer your prescriptions if you want. They always mess up my refills to get less than what the doctor prescribed and delay the medications. The also never answer questions about the medications. They don't know the basics of pharmacy and keep doing the same mistakes over and over again. Madison and Sara are so terrible and need to not work in professional jobs. read more

This Kroger has certain items that are pricey and other comparable items cheaper than Meijer. They should rollover your gas points to next month instead of forfeiting after all you earned it!!!! Some customers think that when the bagger leaves his spot that the customer should do the bagging, such was an incident I had late-night last week. I felt uncomfortable and feared a fight coming after leaving the store front. This jerk kept staring at me even when the cashier told him it wasn't my job to bag. read more

I hate this Kroger and refuse to shop here any more, even though it is the closest one to my house. Returning bottles here is a nightmare, the machines are old and never working properly. There is always a huge line to return bottles. Today I went to the service desk to ask the girl if she would take back my bottles there, since the machines were out of order and I had already been waiting for 15 minutes for someone to come. She told me she wouldn't take them back, and I had to go back and wait. It wasn't like I had a whole cart of bottles or something, I had a neat 12 pack of cans!! I also have found expired food here on several occasions, One time, I was buying yogurt and noticed that a whole section was expired. An employee happened to be nearby stocking, so I informed him that the one brand of yogurt was all expired, and he barely looked at me and muttered "I'll look through them in a bit." You could tell he was never going to look through them, he didn't even bother to ask me which kinds were expired. So save yourself a headache, and grocery shop somewhere else. read more
